This has to be the worst Papa John's I have ever ordered from. Every few months we give them another shot, kids love the cheesy bread, and every time it's more disappointing than the last. Every time we say, maybe they got better, and shame on us for thinking that. 40 minutes to 1.5 hours late every time for delivery. Ice Cold Pizza. Wrong Order / Items, every single time. Deliver drivers have never read instructions. Sometimes boxes are half opened. I recommend ordering anything else. We will stick with Liones or Anthony's from now on. read more

I liked papa John's since it came out. I think it is one of the best pizza places out there.

I like the Papa John's product, but this franchise falls short in meeting expectations. They appear to have staffing issues which are hurting the operations and quality of their product. I was in on Saturday around 5pm for a pickup. When I arrived after the recommended wait, the order hadn't been started yet. Orders were piling up at the end of the oven. One pizza came close to going over the side of the conveyor. There were only 2 people in the store and they couldn't keep up w the web/app orders. read more

Ok, so I go to order online. Thank goodness I'm smart enough to look over my order before submitting it with payment. One of the advertised specials (showing when I clicked on the specials tab for my local Thorndale store) was an 8" desert cookie for $5. However, when I added it to my cart, it showed up as $6. This also happened with a promo code and also with a pizza order. When I called to place the order over the phone to get the advertised pricing, I was told that they could not honor it, because they were no longer offering that pricing (but Lionville was). REALLY?! Isn't that FALSE ADVERTISING?!!! Dishonest, deceitful and down right ignorant! Because my husband had already left our office, was planning to hit Papa Johns, then come home with the pizzas, I ordered anyway. After all that, I come to find out that by ordering over the phone, I was not able to get rewards points for my order. Well isn't that just nice. (Guess that doesn't matter much since we won't be ordering from here again anyway, but geeze!) While on the website, I noticed the "Papa John Camaro story". Ok, so apparently Papa John feels it necessary to mislead and rip customers off so that he can go and pay $250,000 for a car that's maybe worth $20,000 in excellent condition? The worse service ever! Pizza took an hour to come the first time around and when it got here not only was it the wrong order but the pizza they sent was mangled in the corner of the box. I called the store and the manager was very dismissive and didn't want to refund my money and aid the pizza would be back out in 10 minutes. I waited 15 minutes to call back and they left me on hold until they decided to hang up on my. When I finally got in touch with someone and explaining my situation twice they finally refunded my money. The pizza that they said would be here in 10 minutes still hasn't showed up 30 minutes later...I guess I will have to figure out something else to feed my pregnant wife on this Friday night. read more

Ladies and Gentlemen... Papa John's has invaded Thorndale! This former Bravo Pizza place was replaced with corporate pizza giant Papa John's earlier in 2013. They offer the usual menu items you see at any other Papa John's and deliver in a certain radius. Prior to their Thorndale location, if we craved their pizza, we would go to the one in Eagleview, but between here and there - there are a TON of other pizza places that eclipse the taste of Papa Johns. Some tips: 1. Check your mail - they have promo's all the time for pizza 2. Order online - you can specify a specific time for pick up - it can take forever if you order on the fly... Especially on a Friday night at 6pm... Expect to eat around 7-7:30. 3. Delivery - If you choose delivery - they do charge $1.50, which does NOT go to the driver. Delivery also takes a long time. At the time I ordered online, it took close to an hour before it arrived. It was hot, but it did take a while. Order before leaving work! 4. Parking is horrible there, use the parking area designated for Giant. The narrow road and concentration of parked cars makes you fee like you're in Austin Powers doing multiple K-turns. 5. Sign up for txt alerts - they have special offers that are only available to those who receive alerts. Latest one (as of 7/23) was One Large, one topping for $10. 6. Papa rewards only apply to orders placed online, so if you are collecting points, it only counts when placed off their site. Food-wise - we only use them if we have visitors not comfortable with eating local pizza (believe me, these people exist). And although a Pizza Hut franchise is near Coatesville, Papa John's is less greasy. Their food is hot, and made fresh, but unfortunately because they are so busy - estimated times when they say it will be ready - are way off. read more

I find myself going here more often than I'd like to admit. Chain pizza doesn't usually do it for me but the pizza here is really pretty good. Great prices too. Love the big chocolate chip cookie. I always order online and it's usually ready when I get there. Once I had to wait a few minutes, but I did show up kind of early and they were very busy. They also just did a fundraiser for the local elementary school. It's so nice to see a local business giving back. For me, I think that's what puts them over the top. I'll be back again soon. We all know what the pizza is going to taste like, its a chain restaurant. However, the service will be different depending on the location obviously. I was excited when Papa Johns came to the area. Never a bad experience, if you have a problem, ask to speak with a manager, Roland is top great, and will not let a customer go away unhappy. If there is a corporate policy they have to follow, don't be upset with that location, they are just following the rules. I'm sure you are going to think I work there, or a corporate employee, if you think that message me and I will call you myself, and even have lunch at Papa Johns to show you I don't work there, and the place isn't all that bad! read more

We ordered a pizza tonight and an hour and a half later the pizza had not arrived. The delivery person called to verify the address after an hour. This was after the initial call where the caller spelled the address twice. She said she would be there in ten minutes. She also questioned our order, asking what kind of event we were having and how many people were eating so much pizza. After a half hour we called the store and were put on hold. After five minutes we called again and were told they were busy and put on hold again. We called the delivery driver and she stated "I have nothing to do with your pizza, I'm just a person." Whatever that means. We called the store to cancel after an hour and forty five minutes. They gave us a hard time but we were able to cancel. I would never order from here again. read more

I ordered 3 pizzas tonight online, and one was ordered "no cheese" to accommodate an allergy. "No cheese" is actually a button they have available to click when ordering, so definitely not something out of the ordinary. The pizzas showed up on time, but all three had cheese on them. I called, and after more time than necessary giving my name about ten times, my phone number, my order number, asking if I wanted them to remake it a few times, and TWO different people on the phone for some reason, they saw the order definitely said 'no cheese' and said they'd make it and send it out in about 15 minutes. Of course it would take longer than that, so I don't know why they gave me a time... It was close to 45 minutes. During the wait for the correct pizza, we realized that the one pizza I ordered with white garlic sauce had red sauce like the two others. No white sauce. The delivery person showed up with the pizza with no cheese and said "unfortunately, it looks like they charged you for a delivery fee" which made me laugh, and I told him about the other pizza they messed up. He was very nice and immediately said he would pay for it. I hope he didn't have to, because when a company messes up an order (2/3 of an order...), the customer should not have to pay a second fee just to get what they ordered originally. Sorry Papa Johns Thorndale, chain pizza is chain pizza and we will not be ordering from you again. read more
