Ordered the the works pizza and the pepperoni with pepperoni stuffed crust both with original crust. Big mistake. The pepperoni pizza was soggy and had way too much cheese. The works pizza was okay. Next time will get the thin crust. Both pizzas were under cooked. Doughy and floppy. I may just stick with Pizza Hut!!! read more

Forgot how good Papa Johns pizza is. Haven't had one in seven years; moved away and there is not one near me; but came back home and order one for delivery. The person taking order was polite and helpful in placing my order, it was delivered within 30 mins of placing order, the delivery lady was very friendly, and the pizza was hot with lots of fresh ingredients and tasted awesome. Not to mention the great garlic butter and pepper that comes with every pizza. I also got a great deal on it!! read more

I just deleted the Papa John app from my phone. I swore the last time that I'd never again order from there, but was busy all day, starving, and it was too late to start cooking. So I decided to give them another shot. Fail. The last time I ordered a large half pepperoni, half mushroom and onion on regular crust, normal bake. The pizza was disappointing. The middle section had just a smear of sauce leaving a good 2 inches of dough surrounding the pie. They were rather skimpy on the toppings all the way around, including the cheese. And it was grossly under cooked. I had to run it in the oven for another 10 minutes or so. This time I ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and onion on thin crust, well-done. Mistake. It took over an hour to arrive. When it did the pie was cold. I was going to warm it in the oven but it was already cooked to the point if being dried out. There was barely any toppings on it. The first slice I tasted a couple of the small-diced pepperoni and nothing else. The second slice I finally tasted a piece of mushroom. It wasn't until the 3rd slice before there was any onion and nothing else. 2 slices of the pie had no toppings at all. The thin, over cooked crust was like a piece of hard cardboard. I almost broke a tooth biting into the edge of the crust it was so hard. For $27 I expect much more than this. In 2 orders Papa John has managed to insult Italian's everywhere. So disappointed. I made my order online, walked in to get my pizza that was room temperature. We are talking 30 minutes from order online to walk in. When Customer Service Rep. pulled my pizza boxes they were just sitting out not in a warmer of any sort. Boxes had no warm at all, which prompted me to look at the pizza that was room tempature at best. Super let down as the pizza were a birthday request from my son. To arrive to the party with cold cheese pizzas was a bit of a let down/upsetting. I didn't want to wait for Papa Johns to make a new order and be late for the birthday party. Does this location not have pizza warmers for orders that are done but has no customer there to pick up the orders? Never got cold pizza from Marco's or Pizza Depot. I'm done with this franchise! I ordered a large regular crust pizza with double pepperoni double 3cheese blend and spicy sausage. I requested extra pizza sauce and to have my pizza cooked well done. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! I get a basic sausage and pepperoni all doughy and under cooked.So I call and talk to the manager. She tells me that as a consequence of ordering extra toppings it's policy to reduce the topping portion so that the pizza will cook correctly. Did you catch that? 2 + 2 = 3. My God! At 6pm on 12/22/13 somebody made the best pizza I have ever enjoyed stuffing into my pizza hole. The command of extra sauce was not wasted on this Picasso of pies. All toppings were on the appropriate side as the simple instructions demanded and not an inch onto the other. The architect of this masterpiece is truly the shining star of the Papa John's universe. They are truly an asset to the people of Slidell, and should be held above all as an example of what the human race can achieve. Whoever you are, you mysterious gastronomical demi-god, thank you. Tonight I waited for close to an hour for 2 large pizzas, 2 orders of wings and 1 dessert. I understand it's Saturday night, so I let the extra long wait time slide. The food arrived and we were missing parts of our order. Also, the food was cold. Not a little warm, not room temperature but cold, very cold. We had to actual reheat in order for it to be edible. When we called to complain, the manager offered to remake our food and have it delivered again. That would have been awesome, except it would've taken another 40 to 50 minutes for a new order. We declined to wait and just reheated the food ourselves. The manager told us we would have a credit for free food next time. She didn't take any information from us to actually give us a credit, but it doesn't matter. We won't be using the credit. I'll never order from this or any other Papa John's ever again. read more

first off let me say i've been a loyal customer to this location for more than 10 years, and have had the best reviews- but the management has changed, and it shows. not for the better! i still love the pizza as the recipe hasn't changed but the service is lacking. one day there will be 20 workers hanging out in the store with nothing to do, and then flip it the next time there will be one on the oven, one to deliver and one on the register taking orders. you ask for sauces, and get charged for, only to get home and find, they are not there. ask for alfredo cups, to be told no problem, only to have them scramble for 5 minutes to find out they don't do alfredo cups after all. make a large order for a get together and find that the cut is weird.... looks like they cut it in triangles and then in squares on top so you get tiny slivers of weirdness. walk in to speak to the manager to find out shes not there, but the workers don't know that because she's clocked in. just sad. read more
