Decided to try papa John's which was a mistake. Took 3 hours to get my order for delivery when I live less than 10 minutes away. Domino's would've have them beat with better quality pizza 2 hours sooner. Wont be ordering from Papa John's again That's for sure. read more

Alright, today i have done it, I have given Papa John's Pizza another shot. With how pie advertises Papa John's Pizza, "another piping hot slice of Papa John's pizza," I figured it was worth another shot. In doing so i got four items to sample and see how Papa Johns stands as a pizza establishment. The four items are a 1-topping pizza (i chose bacon), an order of cheese sticks (with pizza dipping sauce), a small order of garlic parmesan wings (ranch dipping sauce), and to top it all off a papadilla, which is best compared to a calzone that comes with 3 toppings (i chose bacon, sausage, and ham). Let's start with the best of the bunch. Papadilla - 7/10 - I cannot in good faith complain about this item, it was exactly what i ordered. With that in mind it is nothing to write home about, it was okay, not bad, but not amazing. The toppings tasted fine, nothing wrong with them, good amount of cheese/sauce in it. Some of the crust was burnt, but nothing that would distract from the item, but not golden brown, so an average rating it retains. Wings - 4/10 - Here's where things start to go sour. Let's start with the positives, the sauce was good, it was garlic parmesan, hard to mess that up, and they didn't. The size of the wings was fairly acceptable as well, not huge by any means but not tiny, still overpriced for their size though. Now for the negatives. The wings were all burnt, there was blacked char all around the wings, some trying to use the sauce to cover the char, but it was of no use, the damage was done. This miscooking of the wings damaged what could have been good wings, there are positives so I cannot give it lower than the 4 it has now. Pizza - 2/10 - I cannot describe how let down I was by this pizza. I had expectations (that was my mistake) and upon tasting it i was immediately let down. It was bland, it was dry, and the toppings were scarce. There was absolutely no positives to this pizza, everything was poor quality in my experience.Now while the pizza was bad, there was still something far worse. Cheese sticks - 1/10 - These cheese sticks are more or less just a pizza crust without the outside crust with cheese as the only topping, no sauce or anything. Typical cheese sticks from a pizza establishment. Upon biting into them though, it all went wrong. The cheese was almost completely overpowered by the powdery dough underneath it. This meant that the cheese sticks were more or less just sticks. Papa knew about this though, that's why they added the pizza dipping sauce to dip it in. Let me just say this was some of the most unseasoned pizza sauce I've ever tasted, it tasted not far off from tomato paste with salt. These cheese sticks are a must-avoid for any pizza goer. Overall - 3.5/10 - That is valuing each item equally in this visit, had I ordered just the papadillas it would have been a pleasant experience, especially for the price. The price by the way was $6 per item using a special they have (likely to compete with Domino's). With that price in mind I still would not get Papa Johns again. There are just better pizza options out there for better deals. read more

I'm so mad because this is so good! I just moved here so I was set on trying all the pizza places in the area, but I just can't quit this one. They keep sending me coupons so it ends up being cheaper than getting a combo meal from some fast food joints (considering a large pizza feeds me for 2-3 meals). The delivery fee is $1.99 and the driver is always friendly and punctual. Every time, the pizza is hot and not smushed and they don't skimp on the ingredients. Arg, I curse Papa John's name after each bite! Why is it so cheap and so good? Honestly, I feel guilty giving 5 stars. I have been to Italy and I've had many a slice in New York; this is not in the same league. For what it is, it is damn good. read more

I love Papa Johns! They have the best hawaiian around. Also their sauce is unique and delicious.

Can never get a order right always have hair in the pizza and customer service is the worst in midland!

To be honest the crust is too sweet for me, that might have changed since i left midland in 2014. But it was nice to have when my dad worked there and we had no power he would bring pizza home for us. I love papa johns pizza but I think it's kind of crazy that the Midlad store will not deliver out m20 due to the construction on the bridge. This construction will probably be going on for atleast another year. That and living out on m20 I drive through all the time and have no issues unless it's right around rush hour time where even then it only takes me a couple extra minutes to get through. I work in the service industry so I tip drivers very well, and I think it's sad that they are willing to lose out on business because of construction. read more
