Our order was for delivery, and it will be the last time we ever give this establishment our business.
The last time we ordered via online, the dressing packets (which range from .15 to .99 a piece) were left out of our large order, almost 8 dollars worth of product just missing, we decided to refrain from using them for awhile.
This week we tried them again and on our order, "special instructions" section we said "we expect 7mayo3ranch4bluc1ital" this was ALL the room it gives you to type so you have to be creative and sum it up.
The driver arrived at our neighborhood and went to 3 different homes before finally pulling into ours. We had our front door open in hopes it would signal him, he was greeted with a smile and hello. No hello from this young man. Clearly a chip on his shoulder, from not being able to find our home?! First hands the pen and receipt over, "can you sign this" the woman of the home takes it and sets it on the table and comes back to grab the products. She then bends down with the food to look in the bag and boxes to make sure all is accurate. The man says "it's all there I don't have time for this, can you hurry up"
You can imagine how disgusted we are at this point. Who in their right mind finds it wrong to care about getting ones monies worth? How insulting to make a customer feel like they are less than for just peeking into a bag and making sure all products are there, especially when the past experience warranted us to do this in the future. The arrogance of this disrespectful employee was shocking and it only gets worse.
The woman of the home, said "excuse me, do not talk to me like that, I have every right to verify my order, it just takes a second"
Driver says " It's all there, I have places to be, can you just sign"
"you're not going to get a tip behaving like that"
"ya know what lady, I don't care" (then grabs another receipt and puts it within a foot of the face of her) "when you write something like that, I don't want to come to your house"
Absolutely dumbfounded and shocked she says "we expect 7mayo3ranch4bluc1ital" is wrong, what was she supposed to write, "have a great day you're my hero" or "you got it wrong last time, i have no reason to believe you wont this time" she then says "all I did was remind you of a piece of our order, you give us barely any space on the special instructions to type so we had to be short and sweet"
"I don't care I've got places to be" she says "I would never speak to someone like that" He then says "you don't know anything" she said "what I do know is maybe I had a bad day or you did but this isn't okay"
He walks away without getting the signed receipt, she calls him back with it and says "I will be calling your manager" he replies "I don't give a sh**"
We immediately called M******e the manager, they were closed apparently. Had to call a second time to get her to stay on the line before hanging up. We told her the story and were left feeling like she really wasn't going to do much and our word and detailed events didn't mean much to her. Her comments were "you had me worried that there was something really wrong, I mean I'm in the middle of closing and you said it was extremely serious"....we do think its serious when a employee behaves in this manner and so should the manager. She also said, "I checked your order myself, twice!!!" Didn't offer a thing, didn't even offer to call us back. We said so, is it appropriate to offer us anything at this point? she said "I don't know, I'll see, but I will talk to this employee and get his version of events" Wow. Never using this establishment again. In fact, she told us it would have been better to call the next day, and we said absolutely not, we wanted it on record that we called asap to relay this inappropriate behavior and customer service, if we don't then you will say..."how come we didn't come forward sooner" she said "oh you could call 2 weeks from now and I'd care" Well, we find that hard to believe since it was 5 minutes after the incident and there is barely a ounce of disgust or concern or belief in her voice.
We finally get around to enjoying our food. The kicker is. The mayo/ranch/blue cheese/italian dressings were all wrong. (pictures to document in case a employee reads this) Either too many for one not enough for the other. We have better things to do than worry about dressing packets but if you're going to have a human like that representing your company, you do not have any room for error on orders!! Hungry howies charges you for these things, so it needs to be done right. So easy to just count dressing packets and put correct number in...makes you wonder why we were made to feel so awful for reminding them in the special instructions of what our order was. great job hungry howies, you've got eggs on your face! read more
