Ordered by phone for pick up and was told it would be no more than 20 minutes. I waited in the parking lot for 75 minutes because they wouldn't cancel it. TLDR: Ordering like speaking to Comcast/Spectrum. I enjoyed taking 10 minutes speaking to an outsourced Indian call center to order. I enjoyed going through 3 button prompts, answering a survey, and not understanding the guy on the phone. I enjoy finding this is the only pizza place in town without side salads. I enjoyed all of this for a mediocre pizza. My first time, wanted to try them as Ive seen so many commercials. Wow the thing I like the least about any pizza is getting what I call a red pie. You know where is so little cheese that the main highlight of the pizza is the sauce showing through nice and red. That being said I drove to super 1 foods and purchased an 8 oz package of mozzarella cheese. And than micowaved each slice individually. And worse was the topping amounts. Purely criminal. One of the most rude employees we have ever met. Went in at 7:50 and yes we all hate when people come in right before closing time but the man who confronted us expressed how upset he was with us and was very rude the entire time he was making the pizza. We just had a very pleasant experience. Submitted my order online, received a call 10 minutes later to let me know they were out of bottled water. I was fine with the refund, but they insisted on stopping at the store for me before delivering. I find that to be extremely generous. This store likes to add stipulations to their coupons that aren't on the coupon. Like, they wouldn't do a half and half large pizza (half pepperoni/half sausage), on a coupon. Really? I don't feel like I should give any stars. I ordered my pizza at 430 for a 630 delivery. At 645 I called to see if it was being delivered and they said they were waiting for a driver so I waited and at 7 o clock I called back and they said they were still waiting so I told them I'll come get it. When I got there I saw 3 delivery cars parked in the parking lot. They didn't offer to give me my delivery fee back. Which is not the point of this review. The next day I called the manager to express my disappointment I told him what I saw and he yelled at me and said he felt offended. I told him my pizza was cold and I had to come get it. He accused me of only wanting a free pizza at that point I told him I didn't call to get anything free and I don't want anything but to let him know my experience. This is the second time I've eaten at Papa Johns. The first time was several years ago and the pizza was so bad I thought I would never go back again. Today in the mail I got a 40% off coupon so I thought I'd give it a try. Ordered a double sausage with mushrooms and black olives. Normally would have cost 19 bucks I got it for 11. If I would have paid the full price I would have been I would have taken it back and asked my money back it was that bad. sorry this review is so late but I placed an order for delivery and was told it would take about 1 hour. 1.5 hours later I called and was told the driver left a bit ago and should be at my house shortly. 2.5 hours later I called back and was told that the driver that took my pizza is really really slow and they apologized. they said they will make me a fresh one and it should be there about 1 hour. 1.5 hours after that (now 4 hours after my original order) the pizza showed up, and to make up for their mess up, when my original order shows up, they wont charge me for it. Needless to say, it never showed up. so I paid regular price for an order that showed up 4 hours later. this isn't a bad thing....ok it is, but for being on a week night, I ordered at 5 p.m. so I can get to bed at a regular time, it showed up at 9 p.m. The second time I ordered I gave them a chance and thought it was just a bad night the first time, it wasn't. Absolutely horrible service. My mother gave them her credit card number as you would with any order, and when our order never came, she called and they told her that there was no order for her. We have to check and see if the employee took her credit card number for something else. All they did for compensation was ONE FREE RANCH (50 cents off). Give me a break.
