First time trying the restaurant. Folks were nice and helpful but I didn't find the food good. I think my expectations were too high from eating Mexican food in LA. The beef is frighteningly bad. The chicken, however indifferent and generic and flavorless, is an order of magnitude better than the beef. And when it's past 8:30pm, most of the restaurants in town are, if not closed, at least no longer taking new orders, it's all fast food. If you want some "local" fast food, this is your only choice. Well, I went to taco John's to order three tacos. Well, I stood in line for 15 minutes. There was only two people ahead of me, but the cash register person (special people) as they call, was doing his performance couldn't get the right change back, arms and acting silly, well when I ordered, I waited another 15 minutes for the tacos. One guy was sitting next to me ordered after I did and just got up and left. I see other people were kind of disgusting too because. Oh my. I love Taco John's so much. It's probably my favorite fast food joint. One Yelper once described their Potato Ole's as "crack." And they are just that! I will say that I've been eating at TJs since I was little, so I'm partial to their food. But unlike most places, they don't seem to have changed their recipes, quality or portions. I'd recommend the Potato Ole's or Crispy Beef Tacos (you can get both in what are called a Six Pack and a Pound), Super Nachos, or just plain Chips & Cheese. I hear the Quesadillas and Burritos are great as well but I like corn. Ask for cheese sauce to dip your Potato Ole's in!!!! Sopapillas are great too although I never have room for dessert. They never have sour cream, and when they do, they always forget it. The service there is always great, very friendly, but they never get my order right. I'm pregnant, so my orders being correct is very important to me lol. I'm not sure that they'll ever see this review, but if they do, remember the dang sour cream. read more

We ordered a Boss burrito it was cold and the chicken room temperature. Also a potato beef burrito with no vegetables and it came cold with a bunch of tomatoes. Also two beef tacos that were cold. I placed an order well in advance of my arrival through their aoo. I checked in on arrival, and waited as told in their curbside pickup area. Nobody ever came, for 20 minutes. Lobby is closed, so I couldn't go in to ask about my food. Called their number and nobody ever answered. Wound up having to sit in the insanely long drive-through line to pick up my food. We placed an order which we found out was inaccurate so we had to drive 20 minutes back to them to get the order corrected. We asked for a refill of the pop due to the time it took us to and from they refused saying they cannot do refills so we simply asked for another pop and they absolutely were rude and refused to do that as well! read more

This was a decent place for I grab a quick Mexican meal. The food was good just needs more flavoring/ spiciness and they'll be great.

My friend and I bought our food at approximately 2:00 AM on Saturday, March 23rd. First off, my friend's #5 was made very poorly, only having half the ingredients the burrito was supposed to have. Not 2 hours after eating our "dinner" we have both puked more than once. I highly suggest teaching your employees how to keep food from literally poisoning your customers before your business gets shut down. read more

Well for starters when we got there all the tables were dirty. Not one of them had been wiped down. When we got to the register well there was a long line I mentioned to the cashier that the tables need to be wiped down she said well I don't know where a person is who cleans the tables. Then my daughter, who is only 16 went and wiped down the table for us and then A family that had sat down right before us and she went and wipe down their table. Then we had our meal which I am not very impressed with. And when we were done eating my daughter saw other people were coming in to sit down so she got up and wipe down the tables. I went up to the cashier and there was a group of people probably about 45 people standing around and I said something about them you might want to wipe down some tables cause all the tables were dirty. One person goes what tables need to be wiped out and as I was passing I said all of them because my daughter is out there wiping down your tables for your customers. The manager just looked at me like I was an idiot. I was not very impressed with the staff. The two teenage girls did not really seem to know how to work the computers and we're having problems with them. Terrible service. The only reason I go back is the potato oles are worthy and my kid loves them. I've had this type of situation happen numerous times, go to the drive thru no one talks to you sit for over 5 minutes no one is in front of me and then I call no one answers so I drive to the window and wait for some one to help me and Megan finally comes to the window now it's been around 7 minutes I've been waiting to order and she says oh sorry we close in 5 minutes the and names 3 things they have available. I said well I've been here waiting to order for awhile and I want a large potato ole and then a small super potato ole with no meat guacamole or olives she makes me pull forward and I wait another 5 or so minutes she brings me my food without the large potato oles so I said that and she goes back inside I wait another 5 or so minutes and brings them out.....
