This restaurant was extremely popular and we had to wait 40 minutes for a table for 6 on a weeknight but my friends and I just put our names down and headed to a nearby brewery while we waited. Once our name was called, we were seated and served fairly quickly. We got a combo plate, the sausage appetizer, and nachos with brisket to share between 6 people. Of the combo plate, the pork belly was unanimously the best (extremely juicy and tender), followed by the ribs (tender, well made home style ribs), and finally the brisket (a bit dry). The sausage platter was okay but not as memorable as the other items we got. To note, even though the nachos are listed as an appetizer, they are HUGE and with the addition of brisket on top it was probably the equivalent to getting one of the main entrees for 2-3. We found that the brisket on the nachos were better as maybe it was fattier cut of the brisket or the cheesy helped. Additionally the cheese sauce was fantastic on the nachos and they were one of the highlights of the meal.

Eggs and hash browns needed seasoning - there's no salt on it so add it yourself but the griddled crisp on the hash browns were good. Some of my friends got the home fries but noted they weren't that great so stick with the hash. Accessible parking downtown and a good stop to fuel up!

The place was packed, the drive thru line was 10 cars deep but they chugged through the line and we got banana splits, hot fudge sundaes, and blizzards. Tonight I ordered the Dave's Sassy Salad and was surprised by the portion size. It was actually flat on the plate with only a VERY small amount of salad mix. Less than a cup of salad mix, so maybe 1-1.5oz. I asked for it to be remade, assuming it may have been an oversight. The second salad arrived with a similar portion, so I told the server I didn't want it either. Our server was polite but completely unsure/untrained regarding how to resolve such issues. She could only relay what the kitchen told her, that the portion sizes were correct. She asked if I wanted anything else but only in passing on her way to another table. This implied to me that she really didn't care. A manager or supervisor was never even brought to the table, which would have been helpful in addressing the concern more directly. Getting a manager/supervisor is always expected with issues regarding food in a restaurant. For context, a friend at the table ordered a half side salad that appeared to contain noticeably more lettuce than the entrée salad I received. Based on typical expectations, an entrée salad is generally a more substantial portion. Normally 4-6 ounces for an entree salad. I have been in the restaurant business for over 45 years as a manager and owner so I completely understand restaurants have established portion standards and operational considerations. This was way beyond acceptable by any means. Needless to say I will never be back and will share my experience.
