The staff were friendly, and the food was well-textured and delicious. We were very pleased with Almaz's recommendations. Service was fast.

The food and service are absolutely amazing and delicious. It a nice quick meal while shopping.

Absolutely tasteless. No spices ~ BLAH. Waitress/cashier was not friendly. Won't bother again. read more

Hidden Gem for Authentic Kazakh Cuisine - Hungry Hun If you're ever near Kalispell (just 14 minutes from FCA Airport), don't miss Hungry Hun - a hole-in-the-wall Kazakh restaurant tucked inside a half-dead mall. At first glance, the setting might feel unusual: an old shop converted into an open kitchen with a small seating area that overlooks the quiet mall. But don't let the location fool you--this place serves up some of the most authentic, homemade Kazakhstan food you'll ever find in Montana. We ordered the lamb and leek dumplings and the lamb kabob served with naan bread. Both dishes were fantastic--the dumplings were juicy and full of flavor, while the kabob was perfectly chargrilled and tender. Every bite tasted fresh and lovingly prepared. The servers were warm, welcoming, and eager to recommend menu options, which made the experience even better. The seating may not be glamorous, but the food more than makes up for it. Hungry Hun has been open for two years now, and they also run a food truck in Whitefish, so locals and visitors alike have more than one way to enjoy their cooking. If you're looking for something authentic, unique, and delicious in Kalispell, Hungry Hun is absolutely worth the stop. read more

If you're in the area Hungry Hen is worth a stop! Eastern Europen food that is filling and tasty. It's tucked inside a mall with simple, no-frills settings and the option for takeout, which makes it super convenient. It's about 20 minutes from the airport so a good place to get a meal before a journey. You order at the counter, and the service is friendly and welcoming. The menu has a nice variety -- gyros, kebabs, and dumplings. Everything we tried was good, but the dumplings really stood out -- full of flavor and cooked perfectly. It's a good spot, great for a casual meal with quality food. read more

I ordered the gyro bowl salad mixed in the restaurant and a taro boba from their kiosk. Both items were delicious and on point with flavors of their region. They had fresh lettuce, lamb packed with flavor and the right amount of yogurt to top it off. Generous portions and quick service. Definitely ethnic food gem in a diversity desert. I highly recommend and will definitely be taking friends here! read more

I really wanted to give this place a try first finding it was not easy and I found it in a near empty mall I walked in there was nobody in there, but one really nice worker. I looked at the menu and I ordered a beef samosa. She asked me for my name, wrote it down. Remember, there was not one other person in there and went to the back .sadly I think she went in the back and put it in a microwave, wrapped it in foil and put it in the bag I paid for it, which was not inexpensive at all, and took it out found a place in the shade opened it up, and it was a soggy mess. So for what I paid and what I received I cannot recommend it. I'm sorry I really wanted it. I really wanted to enjoy this kind of food. read more

Excellent gyro salad & gyro. This place was recommended as having great Greek food. Generous portion of protein, fresh tzatziki sauce & a welcome mix of fresh veggies. read more

Such a small out-of-the-way place the food is amazing with great flavors. Fresh and cooked as you order. If you're looking for a little spice and flavor in good food for something very casual this is it. We ordered ahead and took takeout read more

The chicken shawarma was STUNNING! It felt a little unconventional compared to Shawarma I've gotten around the US, but it was TASTYYYY AND UNIQUE. So fresh, and light, and a perfect combination of flavors. For a "mall venue" it is as quality and fresh as authentic foods can get - especially in Montana. I never leave a review for better or worse, but Shawarma is one of my top three favorite foods, and the satisfaction of finally trying out this restaurant today was so worth it that I immediately said "wow I need to write a review." Please give it a try and DO NOT LET THEM GO OUT OF BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. I don't live in Kalispell but I will stopping at the mall every time I go through to get a Shawarma read more

What an amazing find! We tried the combo deal to try all the different types of dumplings and they were all excellent! The flavors were so tasty, fresh and bold. The chili paste sauce on the right side is actually a great spice level for those of you who enjoy eating a lot of Asian spicy foods. The dough of the dumplings tastes very freshly made. A true gem of a place. This was one of my favorite meals after eating out for a week in Kalispell and Whitefish. I'd definitely be back to try more of their menu! read more

I had the Ubek pilaf and friend had the Laghman noodles. Both were delicious but if I had to pick I'd do my pilaf. These are so good it's a pity I don't live in the area cos I'd love to try out the rest of the menu. They are in a mall and it closes at 7 but don't let the location put you off. This place is definitely worth a detour . You won't be sorry. read more

Was picking up food, to go and got ignored by the staff there five times. All I did was ask how much longer it would be for it and one of them looked at me then walked away. That same staff member proceeded to touch his hair, then touch ready made food. He continued to do that not even bothering to wash his hands. Another staff member wiper her nose and went back to cooking food on the grill. After 45 minutes of waiting, I finally got my food, only for my food to be disgusting. I do not recommend this establishment at all. Absolutely disgusting. I demanded a refund for contaminated food. And to the owner who reads these reviews, actually do something about your staff and quilting of food. Instead of just saying you'll do this and do that. Actually do something or shut down. Can't just put on a show for the health department and then not do it. read more

Everything is well prepared and super fresh. The biryani had some complex flavors going on and I don't know what the meat so delicious! The salad is flavorful, colorful, and full of so many veggies that aren't lettuce. I can't wait to come back and try more stuff including those dumplings! Yum! read more

Food was fantastic. Hidden gem in the mall! Serve food that seems to be Eastern European with a bit of a middle Eastern or Mediterranean flair as well. Anna, one of the owners, kindly walked us through the menu which was recently expanded. We ordered the mixed dumplings selection, the chicken shawarma, and the gyro salad. Ingredients were fresh, flavors were fantastic. Chili oil sauce for the dumplings was actually spicy--I loved it but a little went a long way (and I do eat pretty spicy food on a regular basis). We are from out of town but hope to make it back at least one more time to sample some of their other dishes. As a side note, they were doing a brisk DoorDash business despite only having opened 7 months ago. They also own the boba tea stall across from the restaurant. You can do takeout or eat there. read more

We followed our gps, which led us to a hotel. That didn't seem right, so we called the restaurant who informed us that they were located in a mall. The ambience was mall cafeteria, but the food was so tasty! The salad was large and so fresh. I ordered Shish tawook- the chicken was superbly seasoned and grilled. My mom ordered the lamb kebab, which was excellently prepared. There was a little red condiment, not sure of its name- very flavorful! read more

Super nice people and great food! It's a great spot to stop for a drink and food while shopping or even if you aren't shopping. Way better than fast food read more

We went here hoping for new flavors and some different food. We went at lunch time in case a recent article in a newspaper had increased interest. This place is in a shopping mall that had seen (maybe) better days 20 years ago. It might be an idea to just turn the whole thing into restaurants and bars. It's like a ghost town. But, believe me, this place is not going to turn the mall around or even last. The food is somewhat better than okay, but really only if you're already there. We ordered a dumpling combo plate in order to sample the full range of flavors. To that we added all the possible dipping sauces. Beef and onion -- Snore. If you add the sour cream I guess you've got some bland beef stroganoff. Skip that one. Even worse is the chicken and potatoes dumpling. Like food in a nursing home! Dip this in the very spicy Chili Garlic dipping sauce so that there's any flavor. (This sauce is maybe a highlight of the place.) The bison and pumpkin dumpling and the lamb and chives both have flavor. They don't need any dipping sauces. (The third dipping sauce, chipotle lime I guess? looks and tastes like Russian dressing. You want the clear sauce if you must have a sauce.) We also ordered the gyro and the pilaf. The gyro was good. Not better than anywhere else, though. It has potatoes and peas in it, which were interesting, but I really could have skipped those. They were fine, but I'm not big on potatoes. The pilaf apparently had some interesting flavors as well, but the lamb was overcooked. All in all, less interesting than we had hoped. Possibly too Americanized? Or maybe substituting more acceptable meats for the traditional horsemeat results in boring food. I haven't shopped in that mall in 20 years, so highly unlikely I'll be back. Get another location with more reason for me to be there and then maybe. read more

I have eaten at the Hungry Hun several times and enjoyed it. I went in yesterday, placed my order and told them I wanted water to drink. I was offered a 3 ounce cup, a single swallow. I asked for a full size cup and was firmly told no, they are only for pop. I pressed the issue and she offered to sell me a cup. I asked for my money back, she refused. Her attitude was defiant and confrontational. I was finally given a 6oz coffee cup. I told her she had just lost a customer, over a paper cup. I have never been to a restaurant and refused water. read more

This guy knows what he is doing. Hands down one of the best places to eat in Kalispell. Don't miss out. Epic.

Great food. So glad I discovered it, despite its location in the mall. The dumplings and baklava are scrummy.

Worth the voyage into the mall! The owner was extremely friendly, and shared some of his life story, which was fascinating and added to the authenticity. The gyros our group got were made fresh, and were packed with flavor. Apparently the drink stand in front of the store, is also theirs, and I would have loved to try it, but it wasn't open yet. read more
