I really wanted to give this place a try first finding it was not easy and I found it in a near empty mall I walked in there was nobody in there, but one really nice worker. I looked at the menu and I ordered a beef samosa. She asked me for my name, wrote it down. Remember, there was not one other person in there and went to the back .sadly I think she went in the back and put it in a microwave, wrapped it in foil and put it in the bag I paid for it, which was not inexpensive at all, and took it out found a place in the shade opened it up, and it was a soggy mess. The chicken shawarma was STUNNING! It felt a little unconventional compared to Shawarma I've gotten around the US, but it was TASTYYYY AND UNIQUE. So fresh, and light, and a perfect combination of flavors. For a "mall venue" it is as quality and fresh as authentic foods can get - especially in Montana. What an amazing find! We tried the combo deal to try all the different types of dumplings and they were all excellent! The flavors were so tasty, fresh and bold. The chili paste sauce on the right side is actually a great spice level for those of you who enjoy eating a lot of Asian spicy foods. The dough of the dumplings tastes very freshly made. I had the Ubek pilaf and friend had the Laghman noodles. Both were delicious but if I had to pick I'd do my pilaf. These are so good it's a pity I don't live in the area cos I'd love to try out the rest of the menu. They are in a mall and it closes at 7 but don't let the location put you off. Was picking up food, to go and got ignored by the staff there five times. All I did was ask how much longer it would be for it and one of them looked at me then walked away. That same staff member proceeded to touch his hair, then touch ready made food. He continued to do that not even bothering to wash his hands. Another staff member wiper her nose and went back to cooking food on the grill. After 45 minutes of waiting, I finally got my food, only for my food to be disgusting. I do not recommend this establishment at all. Absolutely disgusting. I demanded a refund for contaminated food. And to the owner who reads these reviews, actually do something about your staff and quilting of food. Instead of just saying you'll do this and do that. Actually do something or shut down. Anna, one of the owners, kindly walked us through the menu which was recently expanded. We ordered the mixed dumplings selection, the chicken shawarma, and the gyro salad. Ingredients were fresh, flavors were fantastic. Chili oil sauce for the dumplings was actually spicy--I loved it but a little went a long way (and I do eat pretty spicy food on a regular basis). We are from out of town but hope to make it back at least one more time to sample some of their other dishes. As a side note, they were doing a brisk DoorDash business despite only having opened 7 months ago. They also own the boba tea stall across from the restaurant. We went here hoping for new flavors and some different food. We went at lunch time in case a recent article in a newspaper had increased interest. This place is in a shopping mall that had seen (maybe) better days 20 years ago. It might be an idea to just turn the whole thing into restaurants and bars. It's like a ghost town. But, believe me, this place is not going to turn the mall around or even last. The food is somewhat better than okay, but really only if you're already there. We ordered a dumpling combo plate in order to sample the full range of flavors. To that we added all the possible dipping sauces. Beef and onion -- Snore. If you add the sour cream I guess you've got some bland beef stroganoff. Skip that one. Even worse is the chicken and potatoes dumpling. Like food in a nursing home! Dip this in the very spicy Chili Garlic dipping sauce so that there's any flavor. (This sauce is maybe a highlight of the place.) The bison and pumpkin dumpling and the lamb and chives both have flavor. They don't need any dipping sauces. (The third dipping sauce, chipotle lime I guess? looks and tastes like Russian dressing. You want the clear sauce if you must have a sauce.) We also ordered the gyro and the pilaf. The gyro was good. Not better than anywhere else, though. It has potatoes and peas in it, which were interesting, but I really could have skipped those. They were fine, but I'm not big on potatoes. The pilaf apparently had some interesting flavors as well, but the lamb was overcooked. All in all, less interesting than we had hoped. Possibly too Americanized? Or maybe substituting more acceptable meats for the traditional horsemeat results in boring food. I haven't shopped in that mall in 20 years, so highly unlikely I'll be back. Get another location with more reason for me to be there and then maybe. read more

I have eaten at the Hungry Hun several times and enjoyed it. I went in yesterday, placed my order and told them I wanted water to drink. I was offered a 3 ounce cup, a single swallow. I asked for a full size cup and was firmly told no, they are only for pop. I pressed the issue and she offered to sell me a cup. I asked for my money back, she refused. Her attitude was defiant and confrontational. I was finally given a 6oz coffee cup. I told her she had just lost a customer, over a paper cup.
