The young guy who gave me my order was friendly and gave me all I asked for; plates, napkins and ensured garlic dip was inside boxes, which it was! This is the second time I have ordered out in the last 3 weeks from this location! The first time, it took longer than expected time, they made me wait after online it said my pizza was ready. I ordered a large pizza for delivery and was told it would be 30 min which is acceptable. So a little over 30 min passed and the driver his name was Bryan called me and said sorry my car broke down about a mile down so it will be a bit. I received a discount coupon to purchase a 14"pizza. Since I had never eaten a pizza from Papa John's before, I decided to try it. I ordered a pepperoni thin-crust pizza and paid for it. Since I would have to wait for about 15 minutes, I asked the clerk if someone could bring it out to my car for me and she said yes. I could not find suitable disabled parking so I ended up parking in the very front at the pick-up-only parking. I pulled in and I was going to park elsewhere but I was trapped by the traffic going back and forth behind me so I stayed there. This shop is not in a good spot because of the traffic. Also, I couldn't understand why the closest parking was pick-up order parking only and the disabled parking was further away and only one spot. The whole time I was there, not one car pulled up for pick-up. I waited about 20 minutes and no one came out with my pizza. So I went in and asked if my pizza was ready. It was not. I still had to wait another five minutes. The staff seemed unorganized and it seemed s though many of them were walking around confused. I finally got my pizza. I got in my car and it seemed like forever until I was able to get out of the parking lot because of the ongoing traffic passing back and forth behind my car. Finally, I was able to back out and quickly exited the parking lot and drove home. The pizza smelled good and was hot. I noticed on my receipt that I was also supposed to have a seasoning packet which was not there with the pizza. The back of the pizza was close to being scorched and tasted bitter. The pizza was definitely not worth the $15 that I would have paid without the coupon. I just bought one at Walmart for a little over $5 and it tasted better than Papa Johns's pizza did. I paid $9.78 for the pizza and I can't say it was worth that much. I don't think I will be visiting again. I haven't been to this Papa Johns on Hwy 111 in Indio for months. Staff looks completely different; a bunch of Arabic men (talking in their own language) with plain clothes attire. I had ordered online 40 minutes in advanced; I received a I text message that my pizza and cheese sticks were ready in 15 minutes after I placed my order. So, when I arrived to Papa Johns 25 minutes after I received a text message that the order was ready, the guy in the front says "it is still cooking." I was like "what? okay, I will wait here." Then, moments later, an Uber Eats guy comes in, and the same worker tells him the same thing. At this time, I can see like 5 pizzas are already ready sitting on their warming shelf. Then after 10 minutes, a worker (in the correct working attire) comes in and takes care of a customer who just walked in. Since I was running late, I ask the worker if my pickup is ready; the worker goes the shelf to pick up the boxes that I saw when I first walked in. Unbelievable, it seems like the first worker (when I walked in) just wanted everyone to wait 15 minutes for his coworker to come back from break. Ah whatever, food was great though (good temperature, tasted great). There is a small dining area with 3 small tables if you want to eat in, but they were super dirty (tables with drink cups, dirty floors with food scattered); cleanliness of their store is definitely low priority. read more

I ordered a large, thin crust pepperoni for today...when I went to pick up there was a problem with the register not opening so he said it was on the house...I said know I have the change as well as $3 tip so I paid and left. Placed an online order and watched the tracking and it said the order was delivered. I called to see why we did not receive our order. The person who answered put the delivery driver on. He said he knocked on the door and the residents said they did not order pizza He had the right address but described the wrong house. He also said he called my number, I never received a call. He said he got a voicemail. I never received a call, no call record. When I asked how they were going to make this right he said he didn't know. I asked to speak to the manager and I got put on eternal hold. I tried calling with another phone and was also put on hold until the restaurant closed. I call the store and the automated phone systems are trash, I keep hitting "2 if you're calling about an existing order". The automated system just restarts the menu each time. Okay, I'll press "3 for a new order" and talk to someone. A lady with a thick Indian accent answers the phone (likely an India call center). I explain that I'm calling about an existing order and she transfers me, phone rings a few times and a lady picks up the phone says "please hold" and immediately puts me on hold where I remained for 15 mins, until I just gave up. First off, they don't deliver to my address even though I'm only about 2 miles away. They offer online ordering for carryout, however. BUT...everyone who just walks in gets their pizza made first. Therefore, when you arrive to pick up your pizza, be prepared to wait because THAT'S when they'll start to make it. Also, they are completely unable to read a pizza order correctly, so our pizza was pretty much inedible. So sad, because Papa John's used to be my favorite. Unfortunately the less-than-able employees at this location have ensured that I won't eat there again. And of course, there was no manager on duty, so no one to talk to about it, either. My first time ordering from Papa John's. My young daughter is partial to making her own pizza's, and if we do not have the Mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses needed, she likes Domino's. She like to order / customize online and she is partial to their hand tossed crust and sauce. I convinced her to try something different since she really wanted pizza tonight. She announced that she does not like the Papa John's online ordering as much. She said it is not as easy. She was impressed with how many options they have. The online order confirmation showed up quickly and the committed to a 40 minute delivery that is better than the 60 to 75 minute that Domino's always gives. The actual delivery was received at 34 minutes.....Hey, NOT BAD! The driver was very nice and was wearing a nice clean Papa John's uniform. The Pizza smelled great and looked great. We went with the Original Crust Peperoni special and the Tuscan 6 cheese special. The real question was if my pizza loving kid would think it measured up. Her verdict was she still likes the Domino's hand tossed crust better but she really likes the sauce and the 6 cheese pizza from Papa John's. I agree this is good for delivery pizza, so I am going to give them 4 stars. Nice friendly delivery driver, online ordering, fast delivery, good food.
