I bought a large one topping pizza for dinner. I was in the middle of running errands. So I ate it in the car. On the second and final slice I was eating, I bit down on something very hard that caused extreme pain and cut my mouth open. I spit out the pizza and the hard piece onto the box. I examined it to see what it was and it turned out to be part of a human tooth! Here's the kicker, I don't have any teeth because I had to have them all pulled out over 25 years ago because I was hit by a drunk driver! So it's NOT my tooth! I'm so grossed out I don't even want the pizza for the next day. I called the store and talked to the manager. His response: Well what do you expect me to do about it? I said you're the manager, think of something! (I was so in shock I couldn't think refund or remake the pizza) His reply: I'll tell my GM and he hung up. Loved papa John's but this location is Gross and has made me avoid papa John's. Pizza tastes like it's made out of used up grease with a hint of been and pork. Didn't even get to taste the cheese from the overwhelmingly gross taste. Will never eat pizza here again. Prefer dominos next door over it. Also the cheese sticks were disgusting. The customer service at this location is herocious to say the least. My wife placed an order for a 1 topping med pizza and was told it was $30. When my wife asked what specials they had because $30 was too much for that pizza she was told a 3 topping for $30. My wife explained that she only wanted the one topping and if that was it then she would just cancel the order. The lady preceded to tell my wife to not call this store again because she just wasted her time with no order. I went to the store to confront but they swore no one there talked to my wife. I even stood in the store, dialed the number and the phone rang. Of course they didn't answer it. Please stay away from this location until the staff is changed and taught some semblance of respect. Ordered 2 pizzas which totaled around $50 including delivery charge. I have always liked Papa John's pizza but neither of these were good. Dripping in pizza sauce, under cooked ingredients on top and crust was very doughey. I think my Papa John's pizza days are over. You don't mind paying that much when it's good but when it's inedible it's ridiculous to pay that kind of money. Beware of sharing information with these people! I have a profile online with PAPA and have not ordered a pizza for awhile. Today I started getting threating phone calls claiming to be Papa John's and if I did not pick up my pizza they were going to charge my card. I went to the store and demanded to know what was going on. The manager assured me that it was not them. He called the other store and told them what I said then asked if it was them. They denied knowing anything about it. He then said it was someone they had fired. HOW DID THIS EX-EMPLOYEE GET MY INFO! The phone callls will not stop. BEWARE!! read more

Went in to pick up my carry-out order and my experience wasn't very satisfying. First, I wasn't greeted when I walked in or acknowledged by any employee. I could see them all cracking jokes and laughing with each other, though. There was a lady in front of me in line, and the cashier was very slow to take her order/get her money/give her her change. When it was my turn, she acted annoyed that I was there, didn't smile or say anything, and waited for me to tell her what I was there for rather than ask me what I needed. Poor customer service. This is your average Papa Johns pizza experience. The delivery drivers are usually prompt and not messy. The management of the store is less than helpful on most occasions and have heard they induce a bad working environment on the drivers/pizza makers. The consistency of ingredient distribution is spotty at best. I have never received the same pie ever. Sometimes too soggy, not enough ingredients, a bit too burned. All signs of a lack of attention to details. The 2 dollar delivery charge is common with the increase in gas prices, a shame none of it goes to the drivers. I have often had them forget to add pepperocinis or forget a spice pack. When visiting for carry out, the ancient TV perched above the soda machine just looks tacky and outdated. The kitchen is always a mess, as well as the pizza preparation people and area. Loud and confusing mess of events. Its typical, nothing special. read more

Absolutely THE worst pizza we've ever had in our lives and it got even worse last night. I ordered two extra large pizzas, hoping to save money on groceries this week. We ended up getting two specialty pizzas, so these are Papa John's recipes we expected would be better than customized pizzas. No such luck. I will state that I ordered well-done pizza. I generally have to do this in Elizabethtown because if I don't order well-done, the pizzas are so undercooked they can't be held and they're doughy. When I order well-done, I get burned. Since when does a person have to specify that they'd like their pizza cooked but not burned? And apparently they need instructions on how to cut pizzas, too, because when the delivery driver brought us the pizza, he proudly proclaimed he'd cut the pizza himself. Thanks! Except that you didn't cut it. We had to use our own pizza cutter to cut this pizza because in many places, they hadn't bothered to cut it at all. The bread literally ripped... not tore... like a hunk of cardboard. And the toppings were disgustingly stale. I had 5 tiny pieces of chicken that I could barely see on a chicken and veggie pizza. Good luck getting any chicken from this place. We have been sick all night and will have to throw away the remainder of the pizza. Sad. I paid almost $20 for this order thanks to a buy one get one free special but you couldn't pay me money to eat another piece of that pizza. It was inedible. Many of the regular pizza chains that I've eaten at for years have gotten so unprofessional in their delivery practices and customer service (not even apologizing when they make errors... which is 9 times out of 10 here in Elizabethtown) that I'm about to swear off fast food pizza altogether. Just a horrible experience each time for carryout. You are greeted by a loud annoying siren each time the door opens. The phones ringing are loud and grating. Employees all look annoyed and ask questions before you finish your last answer. If you are in a good mood when you walk in you will leave in a bad mood when you walk out. Such an unpleasant environment to spend a fee minutes. I cannot imagine what it is like to work there. Also my order is never ready when they say it will be. read more
