We did drive thru and ordered the 5 piece tenders meals it comes with fries, toast and a drink and I got an order of fried pickles. Service was fine, food took a while, but it's not anything to complain about. However, something I /would/ complain about is the lukewarm mac and cheese bowl I was served. The chicken was dry and cold, and there was unrelated cheese on my macaroni. I would've been only slightly annoyed by this had it not cost my left kidney. Where do I start? My wife and I ordered the Classic Chicken Meals. The Dr. pepper and Root beer both tasted like the syrup was out. The chicken looked and tasted like it was fried in old oil. The fries were decent although they didn't come salted. A small inconvenience that was easily remedied. And finally the Texas Toast. I don't know what this place means by Texas Toast but what they show in their advertisements and what we got were night and day. We got burnt pieces of toast that resembled wonder bread with the essence of garlic. I was excited at the thought of trying Slim Chickens tonight having never been there. I'm angry at the fact that we paid over 24 dollars for such disappointing meals. I know this place hasn't been open very long. It's a solid chicken restaurant. I would describe it as an elevated fast food experience. Kind of like Five Guys. The staff was very friendly and our food was served promptly. They also have location specific decor, which is always nice. I had the Cayenne Ranch Sandwich. It was good, but I would recommend getting some hot sauce on the side if you are wanting something more spicy. I also got to try the Buffalo Tender Mac Bowl. The Mac and Cheese was very rich and creamy. It paired well with the toppings. Overall it was a good experience and I look forward to trying other menu items. I wouldn't say it's significantly better than other similar restaurants in the area, but definitely worth checking out. read more

So, my mom and sister raved about this place they had tried in Lexington. I heard they were coming to etown so I couldn't wait to try them. I was pretty impressed. First, I loved the inside and outside. Very industrial looking and very clean. I know it is new but people were constantly sweeping, taking out trash, and cleaning tables. It was very well staffed and they were so friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly. I got the buffalo chicken mac n cheese and my husband got the chicken club sandwich. He said his was really good. I LOVED the mac n cheese, it was so creamy and cheesy. The chicken on top was very flavorful, maybe just a hair dry on the inside. The buffalo sauce was drizzled on the top, so the chicken wasn't soaked in it. I think that was a smart way too do it so the Mac n cheese wasn't overpowered by the buffalo sauce. I will be getting that again next time I go. My husband and I both got lemonade to drink but they had flavored teas available too. I thought the lemonade was a tad watered down but he was happy with it. I guess it is just a matter of preference. I definitely recommend trying this place out. I parked went in with a line facing me. It took a total of five minutes to get my order and back in my car. Exceptional service every time I go!! Visited Slim Chickens today for the first time. Around 2:30pm we were able to find a parking spot and go in. To say this place has been popular since it opened would be an understatement. In a nutshell, it was good but certainly not great. Menu is very limited: Chicken tenders and wings primarily, along with a chicken sandwich. Lots of different sauces to choose from. Service was great. Right now they clearly have their act together and are responding as they should to the way E'town has embraced them. To be honest, the food itself was only mediocre. Wife and I each order chicken tenders. they were typical restaurant tenders. Good, but not great. Fries were good, Texas toast . . . uhhh, average at best? Not sure if we will be back anytime soon, but they are doing a good job handling the incredible demand so far that exists for their food. read more

Fries were cold and could tell all the food was sitting in a heat lamp. Only thing that was good was the lemonade. Service was awesome and ambience was ok. Will not go back again.
