So once upon a time, when I used to visit family in Ohio, Donatos was a staple. Now they have opened more locations especially in Lexington and Elizabethtown. I had to make this a must stop since it has been many years since I had Donatos. I have read not so great reviews for this store but, I didn't let that discourage me. Everyone's experience is different. They do have dine in for this restaurant but, no table service, you must order at the counter. It's small but ok space for dine in. I went just a few minutes after they opened and was waited on promptly. I ordered an individual pepperoni pizza and half an order of cheese bread with a drink. I was told it would be about 15 minutes. It was closer to 20 but, I'm not complaining. The pizza was good and crunchy for thin crust pizza, I do like the seasoning they put on there and although the cheese bread was good, it was a lot of bread, it did come with marinara sauce. I really don't have any complaints on this visit. Service was exceptional and the food was good. Will be back when in Etown area. read more

I'm not huge on writing reviews, but I decided to write this based on our experience last night. My family has been looking for a good pizza spot in Elizabethtown since we moved here. Tried them all and still couldn't find a regular spot. Last night I placed an Order online for Donotos and my husband picked it up. The order was correct, (big win for this day and age.) everything was fresh, hot and the pizza was absolutely amazing! Best pizza in town. I could not say enough good things. Even our picky 7 year old loved it. I'm so glad we have found our new regular pizza spot. Keep up the great work! I would post a pic of the leftovers but there are none . read more

Was super excited to try this place but my pizza wasn't done. Every slice has raw dough. Took it home and tried to reheat in the air fryer and it's still doughy. Too pricey for raw pizza dough. Customer service is good when they notice you. read more

The pizza here is great! I'm gluten free and got the cauliflower crust. My family got the standard crust and we all liked it. If you aren't familiar with this smaller, regional chain: this is what happens when your pizza sauce has way too much (like orders of magnitude) tomato paste in it. And like else in terms of flavor. Pizzas cut in little squares by default. I need neither of these things in my life, but you do you. It's clean and new; parking can be a pain if the other strip mall occupants are busy. read more

I think we got the hot chicken and a regular pepperoni both having thin crust they were devoured before the end of the night... not sure if the guy that took the order was the manager or what but he was extremely friendly and helpful! We ordered a two topping large pizza at 7:00, clicked carryout ASAP. Site stated pick up at 7:30. I arrived and paid in person at 7:32 was told pizza isn't ready. I took a seat and waited. We are in town for the weekend and wanted a pizza restaurant that wasn't the norm. Google gave us Donatos and we wasn't disappointed. The pizza was outstanding is the best I can say about it. The restaurant is small but was clean, all tables were clean and the employees were very nice. The franchise owner was also there and introduced himself. Very nice young man and I wish him all of the luck he needs for his new business. I would recommend Donatos if you are in E town and wanting pizza. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was greeted by the cashier as I entered and noticed how clean the restaurant was . we went up to order and the cashier was an absolute pleasure. Honestly I'm just kinda blown away. Ordered a plane cheese pizza and wings. Was told will be 15-20 minutes. I check in 30 minutes later for them to tell me the dough I asked for was frozen. That means in 30 minutes no one has even tried to make my pizza? After I point this out they're like okay we are making it now. It'll be 15-20 minutes more. I genuinely had I high hopes for this spot but I don't know if even the taste will make up for this terrible service. How do they have this many people working in that kitchen and still not be able to get a decent workflow? I imagine there is no management on premises regularly for service to be this bad. I will see how the pizza tastes, but genuinely not sure it'll even be worth it. read more

We've ordered from Donatos Pizza in Elizabethtown, KY in the past and never had an issue until 6/29/2025. As we usually do, we ordered delivery. Our order consisted of 2 large pizzas, 1/2 order of Asiago bread, and 1 Italian side salad. And as we usually do, we requested it be delivered ASAP. Our first issue arose when we received a strange text from our Door Dash driver, who informed us that he was at Donatos and they wouldn't release the order or haven't even started making it. When I asked the driver why, he informed me that Donatos told him I requested the order for a later time. Miss me with your BS, Donatos because I know for a fact that I ordered it ASAP. But they refused to start our order, causing both our Door Dash Driver and my family to wait needlessly. We started to cancel the order altogether but decided to wait because the driver was already at Donatos waiting and we didn't want to knock him out of a tip--he was nice enough to inform us of what was going on and was very apologetic. Perhaps Donatos needs to teach their employees a little consideration goes a long way if you want to keep customers. But I digress. Not only were we made to wait far longer than we should because for some odd reason, Donatos refused to prepare the order ASAP like I asked, when it finally arrived--the Italian Side Salad was MISSING! After all that bs, Donatos still didn't get the order right! I have tried filing a complaint on their website, I have also left a Google review and even tried reaching out to them via private message on Facebook, but to no avail. I want our money refunded for the salad we never got. I understand the salad cost only 5 bucks, but it's the principal of the matter. Because not only did Donatos give us terrible service by holding up our order for no reason, and they failed to provide the goods we paid for, they're keeping money they aren't entitled to keep and won't issue us a refund! When you spend your hard earned money on something, you expect to receive the items you paid for--that isn't an unreasonable expectation. This whole situation is not a good look for you, Donatos. Plus on top of that, it's been almost 2 weeks and they have failed to respond to our complaint, which tells me all I need to know how they feel about their customer base. I am letting everyone know if you are in Elizabethtown, KY and you want pizza, avoid Donatos. We're done with them and will never give them another penny. read more

I have seen reviews and heard word of mouth that Donatos is very slow. Therefore, I ordered a pizza and cinnamon bread @ 4:09 pm for delivery at 5:30 pm. When no food had arrived at 5:50 pm I called to check on it. Learned that they didn't realize it was a delivery order and that they would send it right away. At 7:15, a Door Dash driver called to say he was there waiting to pick up the food and that so far, every pickup he had made at Donatos was significantly late. At 8:08 pm, I received a cheerful email from Donatos stating my pizza had left the building. It arrived at my door at 8:26 pm. At that point - I was so irritated that I can't even assess the taste or quality. I just know I paid almost $50 for that food all in and it took 4 hours to get it. We moved away from a state with a Donatos and look for one whenever we travel. Much to our dislike we haven't had much luck with finding a Donatos or if we did it wasn't open early enough. We traveled to Elizabethtown for baseball and much to our delight there is a DONATOS!! We wanted to travel home with our favorite pizza so we made an order. Luckily for us the owner Philip helped us out with ordering and travel ware. Our experience was wonderful!! Philip was THE best. So willing to help us after hearing we hadn't had this pizza in YEARS. He also stated ETown was reluctant about Donatos thin crust, THATS THE BEST PART!! ETown.....TRY IT, our recommendation is the Chicken Spinach Mozzarella ON THIN CUST, it's the best pizza you'll ever eat!! Thank you again Philip!! read more

Unless you want a couple of new stomach ulcers caused by stress and frustration, do not attempt to order online from the new Donato's Pizza Store that recently opened in Elizabethtown,KY. This store has absolutely the worst customer service of any restaurant I have ever dealt with in my 72 years on this earth. I am not one to usually complain, but this situation went well beyond acceptable. My husband and I decided to try your new store for the first time by ordering online. We placed the order for delivery which we paid for by credit card with our usual tip for the driver. We received an email telling us the orderwhich was placed at 5:38 pm would be delivered at approximately 6:04 pm. We live within a 10 minute drive to the restaurant. At 6:20 pm when the pizza had not arrived I called the store. I was told they had it ready and were waiting for Door Dash to pick it up. The girl told me that they should be there soon and would bring us our order. I asked her how soon, since it was already late and she said she didn't know. I said okay and hung up. I waited another 20 minutes and still no delivery. I called the store back again and she said I could call Door Dash because they had it. I told her that the delivery problem was theirs, not mine and they needed to find out where it was. She agreed to call me back after she spoke with her manager. The delivery girl showed up five minutes later and tried to hand my husband an ice cold pizza before turning to quickly leave. He stopped her and told her that it was cold. She said sorry but they did the best they could do. My husband told the girl we were refusing the delivery because it was not acceptable. The girl at the store then called me back and said her manager told her there was nothing they could do about it. I became angry about the arrogance and lack of concern she was giving me at this point and I told her I wanted a refund. She told her manager and came back on the line to tell me there was nothing they could do. So no refund or even an apology. The pizza and salad were a little over $38.00 with tax, delivery fee and tip. I asked then for the Corporate telephone number and I told her that the attitude and service was not good for their business as a brand new restaurant. Have no idea if Donato's has good pizza and I guess I'll never find out. I do know they do not have what it takes to be successful in their highly competitive business. I will never attempt to order from them again due to this experience. It's been two hours now since I placed the order and I've totally lost my appetite. read more
