I hate to complain but I will do it anyway. I love Papa john, the garlic sauce is like crack. My boyfriend always craves it when he is sick so I order us a pizza. I just got off work so I'm really hungry too. One pizza won't cut it so I wanted to try something else. I couldn't decide between the papa bites or wings so I flipped a coin - jalapeno papa bites won. I was so excited to try them, and my boyfriend is sick right now / hardly has ate the last2 days so we were ready for this pizza. It gets here quickly, but it's burnt. Papa John's Pizza is in town on Imperial. All the main pizza places are in town...and we are about 8-9 miles out of town. Papa John's is the only pizza place that delivers out here. There is a $3.99 delivery charge but it's nice to get a hot pizza when you call. I've never had a Papa John's Pizza before. But we thought we'd try it. It took about 40 minutes to get the delivery. The person who helped me on the phone was very nice and helpful. The pizza was hot when it arrived and it took no time to pay by credit card. The pizza had adequate cheese and sauce. The crust was a bit soft. I didn't like the pizza. The flavor was not what I liked and there was so much sauce the cheese slid on top of it. However, my husband liked it. He liked that they had more sauce. We heated two slices on fresh pizza setting in our toaster oven to get the bottom drier. It helped the texture of the bottom but didn't change the flavor. I'm not sure we will order from Papa John's again. We can always pick up a pizza while we are in town from another pizza place. If we do, I may try the thin crust and less sauce to see if it will be better. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I got food poisoned. It has been explosive... TMI, I know. Ordered it via online and it took over an hour for it to be delivered. I tracked it online and it said " in Delievery " for over 30 min. ( note the store is 5 min away From my house) I called them and they took 15 min to pick up. The guy said oh they made your pizza wrong so we are remaking it and it will be on its way. （ really? It's not even on its way yet it showed it was on its way for 30 min? Husband called from his phone pressed 3 for new order the answered! Refuse to help and transferred him to the line where I am holding. First and last time. In 2023 Ive unfortunately had a number of terrible customer service experienced at other restaurants but it is a relief that every time we have ordered here everything was just fine. We have ordered here a few times over the past 3 months and each experience was to be expected. From online ordering to picking up in the store the process was seamless. We were greeted each time we entered the shop and our pizzas were hot and ready. I went to Papa Johns Pizza to order for take-out. It was nice. I enjoyed the fresh made pizza and the short wait was worth it.

I almost always have issues with this location, but it's my partner's fav pizza spot so he always ends up going back. This time, we took a bite into the garlic knots and we BOTH got raw dough on the inside. My partner noticed it first and held up the garlic knot - it was so raw, the dough was so stretchy I thought they messed up our order and gave us cheese filled bread. Its Papa John's; that fact alone warrants a solid 3 1/2 - 4 stars. I appreciate the consistency of Papa John's. You know exactly what you're going to get every time. The ingredients taste fresh and the pizza is well presented and delicious. What pushes this Papa John's into 5 star territory is the staff and the service. Every experience I have had here has been fantastic! With phone orders, the staff members are prompt, polite and friendly. Holy cow, they even take orders with accuracy! I have never had an order messed up with this Papa John's. You can tell that the owner and staff of this place really care about quality. I recently ordered a pizza from them during what I assume was a hectic lunch rush. They called me to let me know they were running late, which was appreciated. The driver was very apologetic when he arrived. I wasn't upset or in a hurry, but you can tell that the customer's experience is something that matters to them. Okay this location sucks they do not treat customers well. They do not know how to take an order... this is the 5th time i have been here and they either have one one of these two things with me. 1) forget half of my order 2) two i always request them not to cut my pizza and what do they do they cut it. Then I have to wait more than 15 minutes. Regardless this location sucks. No customer service what so ever. Even if i order on the phone still when i get here the order is wrong. I hate chain pizza. Then there's Papa John's. These guys come closest to making a pizza that almost tastes like a non-chain pizza, a culinary accomplishment not to be underestimated! At least one local, "mom-and-pop" "Italian food" restaurant in the southern tip of El Centro makes a gawdawful pizza which doesn't come close to Papa John's. I ordered two pizzas from Papa John's newly opened location. A three-topping, pepperoni, mushroom and black olive; and the Hawaiian pizza (pineapple, Canadian bacon). Asked for delivery. The wait was as expected, under 45 minutes. Both pizzas arrived hot (and I live nearly two miles away!). As they were specials, they were 10 bucks apiece, plus tax and a 2.50 delivery charge. Not bad. The cheese and tomato sauce beat every chain pizza hands down. The pizza almost tastes like homemade! The crust is amazing. It is the best crust in town. Tasty. I could eat it by itself. The toppings tasted fresh. Loved the pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza. The mushrooms and pepperoni on the second pizza did not disappoint. Guzzled them down with a glass of Bodega Belgrano Head Snapper Malbec, 2012 (not as good as the 2011, sadly). Enjoy. read more

I ordered pizza the other night did not realize they took my credit card I pay the driver cash and gave him a small tip, A few days later when I was bouncing my checkbook I realize I got charged $29 from this restaurant. Just ordered some pizzas from our new Papa Johns! Hey, both pizzas I ordered tasted great. Delivery time was just over half an hour. Used the online ordering system because I like all the options it gives. I was still signed up to my old Papa Johns in San Diego and noticed that this Papa Johns didn't accept the San Diego coupons I had in my email. I modified my account details and hopefully I'll get some local coupons in my inbox now. Don't have any complaints. We had a Papa Johns a few years ago that went generic. We now have a new Papa Johns. Online ordering was easy and convenient. Ordered for carry out. Large pepperoni with extra meat. I have to say that was the most tasteless pizza I have had from any source. I've had Straw Hat, Shakeys, Chuckie Cheese, Pizza Hut, CPK, Costco cooked and ready to bake, Vons, Dominos, pizza from the frozen food case at the local Vons, and some others I can't remember...OH YEAH...if you are ever in Hanford, CA - Boston Pizza!!! This experience satisfied both my soul and my stomache. The woman who took my order over the phone was incredibly nice. Just the voice you want to hear when dealing with companies. My order was taken promptly and was accurate. Upon arrival, I was greeted with the warmest welcome ever. Even the guy in the way back of the store stepped into view to greet me. Maybe it was a slow day and this store hasn't seen much action today, maybe thats just the way the staff is. I showed up before the quoted time my order was supposed to ready. Since i had some time to kill, I brought in some remote control battle cars. The manager stepped out and I offered him a shot to play. I destroyed him but that's expected of the manager at papa johns pizza. If he had beaten me, I would've been shocked. The food traveled well since I had to wait 25 minutes to get home.
