We had a large Papa John's pepperoni and mushroom pizza with original crust and sauce. It wasn't as good as most other Papa John's pizzas I've had over the years. The crust was a bit hard and dried out. It wasn't as soft and appetizing as I remember. The rest of the pizza was fine, for the most part, but something did seem off with it overall. It just wasn't as delicious and satisfying. It tasted like they missed a step (seasoning?) or something. Hence, the Yelp two stars -- "Could've been better." The pizza cost $16.88. Extra garlic sauce was $0.49. After $3.38 tip, $4.99 delivery fee, and $1.64 tax, the total delivered cost was $26.89. I ordered through Papa Johns' website. I ordered an extra garlic sauce because the ordering process didn't make it clear that one garlic sauce was already included. Papa John's should fix that. We ended up needing both garlic sauces because the crust was tough and bland. The pizza also came with one of Papa John's traditional and yummy pepperoncini (now *that* was as good as I remember). The delivery went great. It was handled by DoorDash. DoorDash kept me updated on the status of my delivery via text messages. The delivery arrived on time and the Dasher (deliveryperson), Peter, was polite and professional. I rate the delivery alone five stars. This is Papa John's store #1421. Ordered on the Papa John's App. They never delivered my food. Waited nearly 2 hours. Eventually went to the store and the employees said it was cancelled but then said the Door Dash driver picked it up. Would not remake the order. Said I would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days. This is the third time my pizza has been delivered lukewarm (with cheese hardened), by Door Dash, who does the deliveries for Papa Johns. I've noticed that they have not been using heat bags to keep the food hot, at least for these deliveries. I spoke with the manager of the store I ordered from (who was professional), and he explained that they could not enforce the usage of heat bags as once the order was picked up it was out of their hands. And that it was either Door Dash or no one to deliver, as they did not have drivers. He offered two options: a redo on the order, which meant I would face the same issue, or a free future pizza. If this is true, it's unfortunate. I live fairly close to the store (via the I-40 interstate), but I certainly don't want to order food from Papa Johns any longer if they cannot deliver it at least hot. Papa Johns: You used to deliver your pizzas hot. You might want to consider changing to a delivery company with quality control, or I predict you're going to lose a lot of business. I wasn't expecting much walking into this establishment, Even so I was taken back by the wretchedness of this place. Workers lacking any enthusiasm and all look like they just want to leave; Not even mentioning the fact that they were making pizza's with no gloves on. Overall just a bad environment they set for this place, Also the food prices are ridiculous, my dessert was $9. Walked in yesterday and greeted by unsmiling young women who made no eye contact: "What's your name?" she said. No hello, nothing. I stood looking at her until she was forced to look up from register. In a disinterested, grumpy tone, she asked me "Your order?" Amazing, this is how they train their staff? I should have walked out but instead placed pizza order to take home. At home, wife opened box and starting laughing! I ordered pepperoni with mushrooms and we got 2-3 pepperonis and 2-3 mushrooms. It was ridiculous, so we didn't touch it. We did laugh for a long time. So there you have it: RUDE SERVICE and DISGUSTING FOOD. Never again. Called and the manager said she doesn't control the app. Last time we'll be ordering papa johns that's for sure. Seriously, just order from Peony Asian Bistro down the road instead. Don't choose delivery! Delivery times are absurd, over an hour and half during non-peak hours. If Papa Track is accurate, my order was made almost immediately, but sat in the shop for 30 minutes waiting for a driver before being driven around for 40 minutes. Needless to say, the pizza was cold and dry. Management needs to hire more drivers. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with the Papa John's. My pizza was thrown all over the box of cheese was everywhere not to mention that I have sausage on my pizza when I only have one topping which was bacon And the pizza was never cut. Then when I open my brownie box is a piece of lettuce sitting on the brownie and a skirt or wrong then I open the sandwich box and it's not even a sandwich that I ordered. But to top it all off when I call the store I got a attitude because I'm complaining about my order that not even one thing was wrong but everything was wrong and you giving me attitude. Website stinks, customer service is atrocious, they're incredibly rude and food was wrong and cold. I ordered a thin pizza only for it to arrive original crust, I called to see what happens and was told tough they're not fixing a website glitch? I've been courteous and understanding in the past when they've left pizzas behind or sent the wrong ones but to be told "tough" and not concerned about an issue is ridiculous. I've put up with a lot from this location because they were always kind even when mistakes happened but I'm done. This location is very close to home, so I can usually get a delivery in about 15 minutes. I've rarely had any issues at all and I've been ordering from them for years. If I did have an issue, it was usually something relatively minor, like not including parmesan. The drivers are generally friendly, and when I've placed a pick-up order, I've always been treated well and they've occasionally gone out of their way to expedite something if I had to wait. The pizza is pretty standard and won't win any awards, but it gets the job done. I like PJ's wings better than Dominos. They usually have some pretty decent deals, especially midweek. Their app is a train wreck, don't get me started on that, but the store itself is handy to have nearby and a pizza delivery place with a low ratio of errors is pretty rare in my experience. read more

Ordering online was much more time consuming than their competitors sites. We waited over an hour for delivery before calling, only to sit on hold for 15 minutes. Then we were told it would be there soon...about 45 minutes. We told them to cancel the order, we'd get Chinese. Papa John's still has great pizza, but now they have gone to a call service from India. So both times I have used the call service it has been impersonal, a long process, and put on hold a number of times. And today I ordered the pizza and the order didn't arrive at the store. Fortunately the store staff was kind enough make my pizza right away. What a huge mistake from Papa John's corporate, at a time when most retailers are doing everything possible to engage with their customers, Papa John's is going in the opposite direction. I gave them a 2 star because I called for delivery and heard an automated message told me that they charge a delivery fee, and they would like me to tip the driver. The delivery drivers are so sweet. But I lose my mind every time they forget the garlic sauce. And that's EVERY TIME I order!!! Attention to detail is not their strong suit. Hi There: We just wanted to let you know that we heard rave reviews about Papa John's Pizza, so without hesitation, we ordered one Friday evening, Dec. 14/12. Upon opening the box we were a little disappointed as the large we ordered (was more like a medium) also we ordered the works on it and believe you me it was extremely sparse in toppings and mostly crust. Great customer service! We were excited to learn that we had earned a free pizza with rewards. We had the pizza delivered and opened it to discover that a ton of cheese had slid off the crust to the edge of the box. I've ordered delivery from many Papa John's since I was in college and for years after that just for decent pizza and a good deal. However, This location of Papa John's really stepped up for customer service unlike any chain pizza place, or private pizza place, I've ever ordered from before. They agreed to deliver my order, NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FROM FIRST ORDER,after miscommunication of the address it was being delivered to with first order was my fault where I didn't receive the pizza. Most places wouldn't care, or give you half off of next order; I called, talked to the delightful employees, and got my reorder sent over no extra charge in 30 minutes. Wanted to give them zero stars but did not have the option. The attitude at this Papa Johns is horrendous. Ordered the pepperoni rolls. Received rolls that were 1 and 1/4inches in diameter and one roll was only 1 inch in diameter. Asked the clerk is this correct, he laughed and said that's it. Wrote a complaint to Papa Johns never heard a word back. Have pictures but could not attach them. By not receiving an answer to my complaint, I guess the clerk's attitude reflects that of Papa John's. Never again read more
