After a medical appointment in Durham, I pulled over and googled "wings near me" in search of a new place that serves localized tastiness in wings. I WAS FLOORED TO DISCOVER IT IS JUST CHILI'S, NOT AN EATERY UNIQUE TO THIS AREA! If I hadn't already paid for the order online I surely would not have completed the purchase. I felt deceived and bamboozled by Chili's. I am a Chili's loyalty member from MA, and we have enjoyed many dine-in and takeout meals during our 25+ years in MA, but I doubt we will go to any Chili's again. Nowhere was it clearly evident that "It's Just Wings" is not a standalone separate eatery - because it's not! The wings were nothing special, and made worse by the fact that I paid almost $50 for "MEH" wings. The service was not great, the place itself was dark and not festive or inviting, there were no signs anywhere saying "Its's Just Wings". When I asked if I could provide my Chili's loyalty information, they said the purchase was not applicable, even tho, it was "just Chili's". As I made the 45-minute drive back home my anger rose - how deceptive! We will not be giving Chili's any more of our business, I felt bamboozled - I would not have made the purchase if I knew the facts. Meanwhile, many restaurants can make soups with chicken broth and other broths and it still be "coconut" or another flavor so I found that really aggravating. Upon addressing this at checkout I asked if it could be compensated since it was not written. The cashier just gave a blunt "no". I am understanding that maybe there was nothing that could be done, but the disappointment and lack of care towards the misunderstanding felt like a disregard for the customer experience.
