There were 6 guys in there totally ignoring my car parked there. Looked at the email they sent again and it said park in the Papa John's pick up line so I thought I was in the wrong spot. Drove around the parking lot looking for where I should park. No sign anywhere, so I went back to the Sam spot I waited before. Waited another 5 minutes with the same 6 guys totally ignoring my car. Had to park my car and go in. I asked them where I should be waiting and the guy said right in front, exactly where I was! I told him I was waiting for 10 minutes and he nothing. Ordered a pizza and wings, waited 30 minutes past the pickup time even after receiving a text that my food was ready. They had forgotten about my wings. When I got them, they were barely sauced and we're also very soft; I had selected "well done" on order, meanwhile my pizza was getting cold. I want so badly to like this place. I love Papa John's and its by my sons school so it's easy for lunch after pick up. I have had bad experiences here before and the employee (almost always the same guy) always makes it right. The food has always been good, but today I just needed an easy lunch and the first time I call I get put on hold for 10 minutes. After hanging up and calling back, the guy answers but can't even understand me well enough to get down my phone number. He stops me in the middle of putting my number in the system and starts doing some thing else. I hear him in the distance. I mean come on guys! I get the same large pizza every week at noon. You answer the phone, take my number. It's for pick up so that's all the information you need. A large cheese pizza. Nothing complicated at all. Edit: I'm not hangry anymore so it's not that bad. I jumped online & ordered an extra large with extra cheese & pepperoni with their new garlic Parmesan crust. I feel like I just wasted $20. The pizza was room temperature when it arrived. We had to put it in the microwave before eating. The extra cheese is so thick to where it didn't even melt after putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds. So disappointed in this location. Ordered a pizza and some sides last night and ended up getting a cut up pizza. Called the location to complain and the manager said "it was just missed cut. We check our orders before leaving the kitchen" so.. they saw how the pizza was cut and yet still let the order out. They probably just laughed about how the pizza was cut and didn't care for their services. When I told the manager I do not wish to order from their again he said "well it's either you get a new one now or later" like what do you not get about I don't want to order from you guys again? DO NOT COME HERE!! I ordered a medium veggie pizza and they had originally said 45 minutes for it (which is ridiculous) but I chose to wait to get the pizza since i paid over $20 for it. I ended up waiting OVER an HOUR to get my ONE MEDIUM PIZZA!! It does not take that long to make a pizza. They either need more employment or they need to be faster. I ordered a pizza online at the Centreville, VA Papa Johns at 4:50 pm and the email stated it would take approximately 30 minutes. I ordered a large pizza and paid for extra cheese and extra mushrooms. The pizza arrived an hour and a half later, at 6:30. It was cold and had some extra cheese on 3 pieces and extra mushrooms on one half of the pizza. It tasted like it had sat for an hour and a half. This was the worse Papa Johns experience I've ever had. I tried to call the manager and was put on eternal hold and finally hung up. read more

I wouldn't recommend delivery. Ordered pizza at 5pm and said it would be 30-45 min. It arrived 2 hours later. It was a Friday, but I normally order from dominos same time Friday and it arrives with 45 minutes every time. 2 hours is too long and we were not given an option to cancel when we called after an hour to check status. Yuck! But thanks. Went to pickup a pizza, there was a lady in front of me so I had time to observe how they made their pizza. There were these "hairy" guys, I'm talking about full body hair, long beard, etc. They were making the dough, without covering their hair or beard, not to mention using their hairy arms to get the pizza dough in flatter shape. I wonder how much of their arm hair and possible other things would be on the pizza. Not to mention one of them was going back and forth cash register and touching other surfaces and going right back to kneading the dough without wiping his hands. I used to like this place as I never had a bad experience. But tonight just seemed so off. Horrible customer service. I ordered online for 3 items. When I got my contactless delivery order I instead received 2 of the items I ordered and 1 random item. This is no problem at all for me as mistakes happen and wouldn't be a problem so long as its fixed. Before calling I confirmed my receipt online that I did in fact paid for the 3 items that I was expecting to get. So I call the store for them to fix the order of course. This is where it gets infuriating and just really sad. I tell them the issue and the woman tells me they ran out of thin crust for the pizza and instead substituted it for cheese sticks. So without even contacting us that part of my order couldn't be fulfilled, you throw in some random item to replace it and take my money anyways for something I didn't even get? The woman didn't even accept the fact that they had chosen poorly on what to do in this situation. They did eventually say that they would re-fulfill the missing part of my order with "Quality guarantee" since I so rightfully paid for it already. That should have been the first response to my call. It just boggles my mind on how that seems to be a sensible decision to make and how there was no apology whatsoever on that poor decision. Who in their right mind would think that was a smart choice? Its like saying you bought and paid for in advance for a Toyota 4Runner, and when you get your car at the dealership, they say they ran out of 4Runners and instead you get a Ford Focus for the price that you paid for a 4Runner. I know that example is vastly miles in price comparison to a simple pizza order but I hope this puts into perspective of the poor choice this place just made. This could have been a quick and easy interaction of "That was our mistake, let us provide you with Quality guarantee and rectify this issue." Apparently not. UPDATE: PIZZA ARRIVED. Every time I decided to get Papa Johns I end up regretting it. We keep trying since my husband worked at one long ago has always wants to give them a chance. The corporation itself is poorly run with horrible customer service and the local store can't figure out how to deliver any food, let alone the correct food in a timely manor. Today which will be the last time for good as far as I'm concerned. It took an hour for the food to arrive, it was cold and they left it on the steps (there are only two) and it fell over when the door opened. Inside they gave us the wrong side and two garlic sauces had exploded. We called and they gave us the option of getting refunded or still getting the correct item, as I knew I wouldn't be ordering again I choose the item to still be delivered so I could at least try it before I boycott. They said it would take 30 mins. Keep in mind we live a 8 min drive from the location. It took another hour to show up and it is also cold. I have had issues with corporate not honoring their own prices and at this point, I'm done. If I get another craving for crappy pizza I'll get Dominos or Pizza Hut moving forward. read more

One of the worst delivery experiances I have ever had! I broke my foot, so I decided ordering pizza would be much easier and I could put off grocery shopping two more days. In my head delivery meant they brought it to my door. I live in a gated community that requires you hit in a number code to enter. The delivery person did not speak or understand English well and refused to even try this... making me hobble to the front of my complex. He did not bring half of my order and the had the nerve to demand a tip. I refused and my statement later showed he wrote it in himself!!!! I have made several complaints and request a refund but they always direct you back to the store which it happened and guess who answers the phones! To top it off... i think squirting ketchup on cardboard would have been more appetizing because the pizza was undercooked and lacked any flavor. read more

Denis is obviously in the wrong field. I have been in the customer service industry since i was 15. I have worked in catering companies, for papa johns, Went to the service industry and worked at sweet water, and now i am a leasing consultant. All of the fields above involve customer service and making sure the customer is happy. When i called papa johns in regards to the whereabouts of my pizza; denis was condescending, rude, and super sarcastic. I order from this location pretty frequently and most of the employees are helpful and friendly. Even with the bad encounters, I have never had one like i had with denis. I felt so disrespected that this was worth writing my first ever review. Sadly this isn't the first nor the last time denis will receive a review this negative. We recently visited Papa John's to collect our takeout order and were overwhelmed with the kindness from the manager and entire team. Arriving earlier than our order, my youngest son wanted to watch the pizza making in action so we headed inside the store. Not only did the manager and team safely invite him 'behind the scenes' to watch the pizza magic in action, they let him make his own personal pizza. We literally work in the same shopping center so it's legit like a 90 second walk. The tracker and receipt said 30-35 minutes. So I waited. Then 45-50 minutes passed and I rechecked the tracker and it said 55 minutes for delivery. What the hell?! It's right there!!! I tried calling the place after an hour but I was on hold too damn long until the tracker said it was delivered successfully. It. Was. Not. I did not get anything. So I stayed in hold for a little while longer until FINALLY the guy pulls up. I'm standing at the door ready to tear this guy a new one, he walks up without saying a word and just hands it to me and walks off. I've ordered the Thin Crust Pizza from Papa Johns for YEARS and have relied on it all throughout college. Back at my college campus, this specific go-to pizza came HOT, TASTY, and PROMPTLY. After coming back home and ordering the same pizza, I have been sorely disappointed... For some background.. Tonight is a Monday night and I received confirmation of my order at 8:21pm. I received my pizza at 9:35pm, despite the estimated time of arrival of 8:51-9:01pm. Okay, I understand that people are fickle and business can pick up and pile up in an instant, but... not only did the pizza come 30+ minutes later, but it was almost cold... I always credited Papa Johns for their fresh ingredients, but what's the point if you let the pizza sit and become stale/cold? I will give Papa Johns another chance, but safe to say most definitely not with this location.
