What a wonderful Italian restaurant this is. I have ate here a few times and its always delicious. I did take out and the chicken Milanese dish was just as tasty as it would be if I were eating at the restaurant.

This is a tough one. It's a 3 1/2 but I'll bump it up to 4 as more things were good than not. ENTRANCE - there was a hostess that greeted us inside and checked our COVID credentials. You have a choice to sit inside or outside as they took the parking in front and converted it to seating. AMBIANCE - the inside is very nice and modern looking. There are 15+ tables inside with ample spacing apart. They have a cool oven in the back to make pizza - which they make quite a few of. I didn't try their pizza but it seems very popular. WAITER - there was a bit of a rush when we came and I was impressed that the bartender jumped in to take orders etc. MENU - it was lunch time so there were adequate choices across the board. For gluten-free customers they can easily accommodate a pasta swap so no worries. APPETIZERS - the shrimp cocktail was very good. The clams casino was excellent. I had the rice balls that were unusually interesting. They had peas, corn, meat and mozzarella cheese that provided a great bite. Only down side was that they were cooked a little too long so the outside was really super dark brown. ENTREES - the risotto with mushrooms was very good. The pasta and meat sauce was good but not stellar. I had the veal Marsala that was good. The Marsala sauce was light and very flavorful. The only drawback was the veal was a bit stringy. Overall the food was good to very good. SERVICE TIME - there was a little bit of a lunch crowd for Monday. Even so it took a while to get our orders out of the kitchen. CUSTOMER SERVICE - the staff was friendly but couldn't spend much time with you and it must be tough dealing with inside and outside tables. PRICE - this place is a solid $$$$ as the bill for 3 people without drinks, taxes, and before tips was $230

Brunch is the best. Great value. We also ordered the seafood pasta with lobster. Not worth it for $40. Portion was small. The half lobster is also small. We were surprised looking at the check as every item was more than its price. The check was dropped without any explanation. When asked, the waiter said "we have a new system", which don't explain the price difference. When asked again we were told that's the price is we pay via credit card. They are automatically making the patron pay for the credit card fee! WITHOUT INFORMING THE CUSTOMER!!! I asked, what if I am paying cash? This I'll is not correct. Our waiter then said they would ring another bill. Never heard about such a thing. We suggest they should put this surcharge on the menu, or at least let the customer know. I don't think the will do it.

Paola Osteria is a family style Italian restaurant. Food are supposed to be shared with family and friends. The salad with avocado, beet and greens are the best salad I had for quite a while. If you are there. You have to order this. You will be amazed by it. Pastas are great like made by grandma. Clams are so fresh and juicy. There is no wrong if you are in the area and like to have Italian Go to this restaurant and enjoy the your meal.

Every bite was wow. From the shrimp cocktail being perfectly fresh and big nice shrimps with delicious cocktail sauce, the the Caesar salad with awesome little breadcrumbs. The apps were perfect. Moving on the entrees we had the eggplant parm which was the star of the show the sauce and taste was to die for. The chicken was so right in every way, subtle yet satisfying. Great balance!!! Lastly we shared the Tartufo which has an exquisite white chocolate outer shell and was the perfect way to complete a 10/10 meal!!!

I remember they had flexible options and we got to order a perfect mix of different things my whole family wanted to try. But what really stood out to me was the building and atmosphere. It's surprisingly big and spacious, yet somehow still has that cozy, close-knit, family-owned hole-in-the-wall feeling. The service was great for being late at night. The building itself has so much character and feels completely different from the typical Times Square restaurants. If you're in the area and want something that feels a little more authentic and unique, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out!

They sat us upstairs along the balcony overlooking the main dining room, and the decor... honestly, just look at the photo because I don't even know how to describe it The space used to be a church, and it is SO cool inside. Definitely not your average pizza joint. This place is popular -- there were plenty of people eating -- but surprisingly, our wait wasn't long at all. And even with all the bodies in there, it never felt crammed or uncomfortable. We ordered a small pizza and did half Shrimp Fra Diavolo and half Margherita. The Fra Diavolo had a little kick, but nothing crazy -- and this is coming from someone who cannot handle big spice The Margherita had just the right amount of basil and mozzarella, and that crispy crust was exactly what I wanted. Although there was no major cheese pull, it was still perfect. The small was plenty for the two of us and honestly just perfect. We also had a couple cocktails, which were delicious too. I always say NYC food pricing is kind of deceiving. You look at the price and go, "Ummm..." but then the food comes out and you realize they give you A LOT. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth here. Great pizza, really cool atmosphere, and a fun first NYC pizza experience for the husband. Happy Eating, Chass

I can't stop thinking about their pizza…read more.. Yesterday was my first time dining at See No Evil Pizza, but I'd tried it before. Last year, I was at Nothing Really Matters, the bar next door, with a group of friends. Someone ordered pizza, and I had no idea where it came from. I just remember thinking, "Wow, this pizza is really good." That memory stuck with me, so when a friend and I decided to stop by See No Evil Pizza yesterday, I was excited to finally visit. I didn't realize reservations were recommended, but thankfully Ariel, the host, was able to fit us in. Ariel was fantastic - he was friendly, welcoming, and so accommodating despite us showing up without a reservation. Ariel provided excellent service from the moment we walked in until we left. I didn't take any photos, which I now regret, because their pepperoni pizza was salty, addictive, and just really, really good. The pepperoni was crisp, the crust had that perfect char and crunch, and I couldn't stop reaching for another slice. The restaurant is small, cozy, and inviting. If you've been thinking about checking this place out, go for it. You won't regret it.

It is such a cute place that deeply honors its heritage and ancestry, and their understanding of celiac disease immediately put us at ease. To drink, I ordered an Aperol Spritz, though you will want to double-check with the staff since a few of their other cocktails are not gluten-free. We kicked off our meal with the gluten-free arancini and a gluten-free Margherita pizza, and the pizza was genuinely delicious. They even offer gluten-free desserts, so we naturally went all-in on the fried dough with Nutella to finish things off. We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. The bits of bacon, combined with the spiciness of the pepper spices, made this a perfect starter. The entree was also shared and it was the Spicoli 2.0 Pizza. I cannot recommend this pie, enough. You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
