I love this place! Located within the Miami Arts District, this has a gorgeous patio with plenty of seating and beautiful plants, making it feel like you're not in a busy area. There's also a really cool inside area with ample seating, with a more moody and cozy vibe. The barista was very helpful too! I had the nitro cold brew and the caffeine was exactly what I needed. I probably would have stayed all afternoon if I had time.

Popped in when I arrived too early to a meeting in Wynwood recently. The girl at the register was super sweet & helped me decide on my perfect beverage. I chose their special, the Miami Fog (oat milk, earl grey tea & 2 shots of espresso). Added a 3rd shot & was good to go. The drink was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Like, unbelievably good! Quite possibly, my new go-to for coffee. Loved it!

Always enjoyable pour-over coffee. Ethiopia and Brazil roasts are delicious and smooth. Sit n relax under the on the shaded lanai with bustling tourist foot and vehicle traffic.

Came here for a late lunch and got a cappuccino and a breakfast burrito. Service was friendly and efficient. A good amount of seating inside, and plenty of seating outside. My cappuccino tasted great and was strong. The breakfast burrito was just okay. It was probably on me for ordering it so late in the afternoon. The tortilla was a bit tough from sitting and being reheated. I would come back again for the coffee, but would go elsewhere for a food item.

Good service! Clean restroom! Seasonal drink options! Paid street parking! I recommend parking on a side street on a busy day and avoiding the traffic on 2nd. Lots of outdoor seating and shaded areas. Only a few tables inside but there is a sofa. You shouldn't have a problem finding a seat. It's a little dark inside for working. Perfect place just to enjoy coffee. They also have wine! No complaints on the flavor or taste of the date sage ice latte with oat milk, it was Perfect! However, it was very expensive for an ice latte so not a place I could afford for daily coffee. They sale small packs of instant coffee and beans in the bag. They also have a pastry case.

Enjoyed this place very much. The coffee is one of the best I've had. Staff are very nice and knowledgeable of their roasting process. Service with a smile. Semi quiet place to work or just chill.

A Must-Visit in Wynwood for Coffee Lovers! If you're a coffee aficionado and find yourself in Wynwood, Panther Coffee is a must-visit! From the moment you step in, you can tell they take their coffee seriously. The coffee? Outstanding. I tried the featured drink, the Miami Fog and WOW. Unique. What was in the Miami Fog is in the picture uploaded. They offer a variety of specialty drinks, but if you're into quality, classic coffee, they've got you covered. The food? I got the spinach puff and it was alright but apparently, it is a fan favorite! I'll have to try out the others next time. Beyond the coffee, smack-dab in the center of all happenings in Wynwood, the atmosphere is vibrant and fitting for the artistic energy of the area. It's a great place to people-watch (which I totally did LOL) while sipping on your cup of joe, or just enjoy the local art and energy of the neighborhood. -1 Star: The only thing I recommend to be done differently is figuring out some sort of canopy or coverage for the outdoor seating area where there is the big tree in the middle, although there is some other outdoor seating nearby. Right under the tree where this cement seating is, is full of bird poop, not sure how sanitary that is nor aesthetically pleasing for photos. Overall, Panther Coffee offers great and reasonably priced coffee and a cool atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back to check out other drinks. But please do something about the seating under the tree!

Panther coffee in Wynwood had a big city feel even though it was fairly small in the inside. People gather outside just to chill under a big tree on the benches, which for some can be off putting but we walked in and were greeted immediately with great customer service. The staff made great suggestions and out drinks were spectacular. I ordered a cardamom latte and I believe my boyfriend ordered a plain latte. We both enjoyed the beverages and the cardamom latte was perfectly flavored. It tasted natural and not too sweet. The body of the coffee was smooth and the flavor was inviting. I'd definitely try it again. Prices were reasonable and I felt the artsy vibe trying to come through with the art work and offerings on the menu. They even have coffee drinks with alcohol on their after dark menu. Nice spot! Not trying to do too much. I enjoyed that. Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

Hot outside in Miami but keep refreshed on the inside with this cold brewed one! Buko iced coffee was soooooo good. Thanks to the friendly barista/cashier at the front, service was fast, friendly, welcoming and informative. Ambiance smelled good and looked clean.

Awesome matcha latte. I love their macadamia nut milk and it's one of the only coffee shops that has it! Friendly and quick service with a cool ambiance. The courtyard out front is a cute place to enjoy your coffee and people watch!

This location looks the coolest to me, there is a lot of outdoor seating. The pistachio croissant we got was average. Dropping two stars as I found it excessively expensive compared to other coffee shops in Miami.

Great place. The ambience with amazing. Good for a good talk with friends. Service was quick and pleasant. Coffee is good. The cappuccino was really good. I ordered an expresso but it wasn't for me. Very strong and bitter. But overall good hanging out spot

Coffee break. Got lavender latte but couldn't taste any lavender. $8 latte + $2 tip = $10 coffee. Dannnng!!!

I dig Panther Coffee and this is a nice coffee spot in the heart of Wynwood, but this visit was not worth it. My experience was meh. I ordered a lavender latte but didn't taste any lavender. Paid $8 + $2 tip = $10 for a latte. Not gonna lie, my coffee wasn't even that hot. There were several baristas working but didn't feel the love. Seemed everyone was just strolling along. The space itself is cute. The outdoor area is spacious and nice. There's a big beautiful tree that gives plenty of shade outside. You can sit and chill. Look, maybe it was an off day but I wasn't impressed on this particular day. And coffee is my jam.

My fiancé was already at the register ordering when I walked in to ask for our cortado in a proper Gibraltar glass (as we've always had it before at this establishment). The staff member heard me and blatantly ignored me, helping others instead. It was clear he didn't want to deal with the request. He even kept telling other customers (loud enough for me to hear) that everything was to-go only. Instead of addressing me, he eventually had his coworker step in to take my order. When I repeated my request, they both looked bothered and declined it stating that the OWNER told them to serve in to-go cups only due to the "event," despite no signs or anything indicating a change from any other busy weekend we've seen previously. The whole situation felt dismissive and poorly handled. What's even more frustrating is the complete disregard for both quality and environment. Any regular coffee drinker knows a cortado doesn't taste the same in a paper cup versus a proper Gibraltar glass--the ratio and experience are completely off. On top of that, serving everything in paper cups lined with plastic isn't exactly a healthy or environmentally conscious choice. It felt like pure convenience for the staff rather than any real reason. Really disappointing, and not a place we'll be recommending. If you are looking for a quality coffee and good service, look elsewhere.

I was introduced to Per'La when I happened upon the Instagram Live that co-founders Chris and Paul…read moredid with Yelp Miami recently... They were so approachable, knowledgeable, and fun, that I wanted to support them, so I purchased some coffee. This was on a Thursday morning. The coffee was delivered across the country to my doorstep in Arizona on Saturday - I was super impressed! We made a pot of the Miami Restaurant Employee Relief Fund Blend this morning and it was fabulous. I typically put some steamed almond milk into my coffee but I drank it black (and several cups). It wasn't just me who enjoyed it either. It also passed the test of my judgemental, 43 year old Jewish husband's palate. He always takes his coffee black and this was no exception. I will definitely visit the Per'La coffee shop whenever I make my way back to Miami, but in the meantime, I'm sending love from Phoenix during these crazy times. I know where to look if I ever have questions related to coffee as well! Thanks Team Per'La!

Two cups in the morning, and I was still watching episodes of The Office until 4am... so you know the stuff is good, and probably the most productive I've been in a long time. Since I don't live in Miami, I ordered some of their beans and had them shipped. I got the Lucha Blend in whole bean form and some of the Cold Brew Blend ground up for my summer enjoyment during the heatwaves. I liked them both for different reasons, but the the Lucha Blend was my favorite. It was a dark roast but didn't punch you in the face. It was super smooth and you could get the smoky notes of chocolate with every sip. Don't get me wrong, the cold brew stuff was good too, and again, a small glass will keep you buzzing for hours. I've heard so many great things about Per'La from friends, so I was super happy I was able to support this coffee shop from across the country during COVID-19. Not only was the ordering process super easy via their website, they offer free shipping, and even included a super cute hand-written note showing appreciation too. Huge plus. I ordered on a Thursday and I was drinking their delicious blends by the start of the work-week. I don't know if they're always this fast, but... it was fast. Until I can come in and support them in-person during a future trip to Miami, I know I'll be ordering more of their beans to hold me over until that happens!

Before I ever tasted a single bean, the name stopped me cold. Calusa. A roaster bearing the name of…read morean Indigenous people -- the Calusa, the ancient shell-mound builders, the unconquered lords of South Florida's mangroves and waterways. People who never surrendered. People whose bones are folded into this very soil. As someone who walks through this world carrying Taíno blood and the memory of peoples whose names colonizers tried to erase, that word hit different. It wasn't a gimmick. It wasn't a logo. It was a declaration -- that this land has a story older than any espresso machine, and somebody here understood that. That understanding alone earned my curiosity and my respect before I'd even stepped through the door. "The name carried the weight of a people who never bent. That's the kind of legacy worth building a roastery around." Then I learned the story behind the man behind the roaster -- and it only deepened my respect. Luis Arteaga came home from serving in the United States Marine Corps and did what so many veterans do: he looked for work. No fanfare. No red carpet. Just a man with discipline in his bones and calluses on his hands, trying to find his next mission in a civilian world that doesn't always know what to do with people like that. He found his way to the original owners of Calusa Coffee Roasters. They saw in him what the Corps had always seen -- dependability, grit, and a willingness to learn. They gave him a job. A floor to stand on. And Luis did what Marines do -- he didn't just fill a position, he grew into something greater. Over time, through sweat and dedication and an unmistakable passion for the craft, he rose to become the owner of the very roastery that once took a chance on him. That's not a business story. That's an American story. A veteran's story. And it's exactly the kind of origin that makes a cup of coffee taste like something more than coffee. CALUSA COFFEE ROASTERS IS A SOUTH FLORIDA INSTITUTION Fast forward to today, and Calusa Coffee Roasters isn't just surviving -- it is a staple. Walk into the right cigar bar on a Friday evening and someone at the table will mention the name. Sit down at the right diner counter on a Tuesday morning and a regular will nod toward that familiar bag. In South Florida's rich, layered, cafecito-and-culture coffee landscape, that kind of word-of-mouth is earned over years of consistency, of showing up, of never letting the cup get small. Luis continues to build something that belongs to this community -- rooted in the terroir of a region as complex and layered as its people. The coffee is exceptional. Bold where it should be bold, nuanced where it earns it. The kind of roast that makes you sit down instead of rushing out. That's no accident. That's someone who respects the craft because he was forged in institutions that demand nothing less than your best. "When a Marine finds his mission in a roastery, every bag he puts his name on carries the same standard -- do it right or don't do it at all." Meeting Luis was one of those moments I didn't expect to move me the way it did. We are both moving through the coffee world trying to build something that means something -- something rooted in identity, in service, in the belief that what's in the cup should tell a story worth hearing. And here was a fellow Marine who had walked a road I recognize: uncertain ground, earned footing, and a refusal to quit. And finally, if you are in South Florida and you have not made the pilgrimage to Calusa Coffee Roasters on Commercial Blvd, you are overdue. Go for the coffee -- stay for the story. And if you're lucky enough to meet the man himself, shake his hand. He earned it in more ways than one. To Luis Arteaga and everyone at Calusa: thank you for carrying a name that honors this land. Thank you for honoring the service that shaped you. And thank you for a cup of coffee that carries the weight of all of it without spilling a drop. Semper Fi, brother. Keep roasting.
