I really thought food from this place would be like a Panda Express - Asian flavor inspired food but I was happy to find this place actually can cook up some authentic Chinese flavors. Their curry chicken is my go-to. Then their hot black bean shrimp. I mainly go there for take out but the ladies working there are very nice. Will be back to try other dishes.

Yay!…read more This restaurant been open for several years and recent year's received a new exterior paint color that better matches the plaza. Oriental Chinese Cruise also updated to the dining room. The addition of larger windows makes the space feel much brighter and more inviting. I also noticed a patio seating which I think was available but likely missed due to bad lighting. Thankfully, some things haven't changed--the ladies that provide the service remains as warm, courteous, and welcoming as ever. I usually order to go here -- veggie items like tofu. The mapo tofu is not spicy enough but the curry tofu is. This time I asked for non-fried curry tofu, should had went with the fried as the color and flavor is a bit off!

The chicken was seasoned so well. The shrimp pad Thai was delicious, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. We also got the green chicken curry with eggplant, which was so flavorful. My husband and I agreed it's one of the best curries we've had! The papaya salad was refreshing with a little spice. Since they're known for their Thai style chicken and rice, we tried that too. The fried chicken was my favorite, it was wonderfully crispy. We finished with Thai tea and a galaxy honey lemonade, both of which were refreshing and not too sweet. I'd happily come back, especially for the curry and fried chicken!

We started with the Blue Butterfly Pea Flower drink, and it honestly tasted like water with syrup. I asked our server about it and was told it was honey. He did offer to replace it, which I appreciated, but the interactions throughout the meal felt awkward and not particularly welcoming. We also waited quite a while to order while tables that arrived after us were helped quickly... The coconut shrimp was good and probably gave me too much hope for what was coming next. Crispy, flavorful, and paired with good sauces. The Thai tea was also really good. Unfortunately, the Panang seafood curry was a big letdown. The portion was small with a lot of rice, the squid was extremely chewy, and the catfish had a very strong fishy taste. There were also leaves left throughout the curry that were unpleasantly bitter when eaten. The pad kra pao was another disappointment. I was actually excited to see it on the menu since not every Thai restaurant around here offers it. We ordered medium, but this was WAY beyond what I would consider medium. I enjoy spicy food, but there's a difference between heat that enhances a dish and heat that keeps you reaching for water. The portion was also small compared with the amount of rice, and the fried egg was overcooked with basically no runny yolk. Presentation was nice, and there were definitely a few things I enjoyed, but between the portions, inconsistent food, service, and overall experience, I left disappointed. For Thai food in the area, I'd personally rather make the drive elsewhere. 3/10.

The sizzling rice soup was hot. There were 4 square rice cakes for the 4 of us. The broth was pleasantly light, the chicken was tender, and vegetables were fresh. Refreshing and serve as good palate cleanser. I definitely enjoyed it; perhaps a touch of additional seasoning would make it more flavorful The beef fried rice and beef lo mein came out steaming hot. The beef was tender. Both the rice and noodles were well cooked. A touch of black pepper to the lo mein would have been great. The orange chicken was very good. Crispy on the outside and tender inside. It went great with the fried rice. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Ever since the menu changed like a year ago, the quality has gone downhill. My family used to eat here every week when we're feeling Chinese food. I grew up in LA SGV so it was like winning the lottery when we found this place... 1-2 years ago. Well, this place is no longer that. Quantity also went down. You know what went up? Price. We ordered combo C while making a few substitutions to our order along with a few additions. This combo fed 4 people and there was plenty of food left over. We did have a slight language barrier with our server who unfortunately brought out our meal incorrect multiple times. Our server however was quick to correct his mistakes and very apologetic. Good customer service in spite of mistakes goes a long way. The atmosphere is casual, and low playing 80's rock echoed throughout the dining area. The restaurant had a relatively small dining room which wasn't overly crowded at 6pm-ish on a Friday night. The bar counter hosted a couple guests as well. The honey walnut shrimp was arguably my favorite meat, while the house chow mein was my favorite side. The restaurant provided complimentary fried wonton crisps complimented by sweet and sour dipping sauce. This was the perfect starter prior to our food coming out. I look forward to returning for the great customer service and fresh prepared food. ***CLOSED MONDAYS***

Looks like a converted bar with plenty of booths. Our no nonsense server warmed up to us as lunch progressed. We ordered sweet and sour and king pao chicken from the somewhat (?) lunch menu, both very inexpensive. My wife liked the hot n sour soup. My egg flower soup was a STAR! Not too thick, great flavor and nice and hot! Some large egg rolls were included. A little oily for my taste but again, Irene liked hers. You can ask for some S&S/mustard dipping sauce. A slightly different take on how they prepared the mustard. The sweet and sour was decent breaded chicken with good homemade sauce, chopped onions and peppers. No pineapple darn it. My Kung Pao could have been called Kung zucchini! That was okay as the portion was huge and I shared some. Plenty of peanuts too (I wished they had been cooked inside the wok..). More than enough fried rice (we took some home. I always ask myself would we come back? A resounding yes as I have to try their egg foo young! I admit I was disappointed that the tea is in a single serve bag instead of a pot.

Despite being the sole staff member attending to all customers, Yuki managed to take excellent care of us, demonstrating precision and attentiveness to our special requests. Her kindness and efficiency made the dining experience truly delightful, creating a sense of blissful hospitality. However, this situation raises important questions about the restaurant's management and staffing policies. It is unusual and concerning that only one server was responsible for the entire dining room, especially during peak hours when the restaurant was nearly full. Adequate staffing is critical to maintaining service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction without overburdening employees.
