She asked the guard if Chris, the manager, was available or when he would be coming in. She was not speaking to Brian or trying to continue the previous conversation with him. Brian seemed to assume that my mom was still discussing the previous questions she had asked him. He then made a disrespectful comment, saying, "She doesn't listen to me," referring to my mom. This comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. My mom was only trying to get information and did not deserve to be spoken about or treated that way. Customers should be treated with patience, respect, and professionalism. We hope Verizon takes this matter seriously and provides better customer service training to ensure representatives communicate respectfully with customers.

I also asked for the company phone number to file a complaint, as well as their names, and they refused to provide that information. I have never felt so disrespected as a customer. Regardless of who someone is or what issue they are having, no one deserves to be treated this way. As a professional with a PhD, being treated as though I were causing trouble or doing something wrong was humiliating and unacceptable.
