Local meats served up here! Small shop that packs the meat chops variety! Down the block of the main road is Occidental. Great for bbq and other home cook meat recipes!

On receipt: Ribeye, Frankfurter, and Basil Italian Sausage

I ran across this sausage at Speer's Market in Forestville and loved it. I buy it frequently and now every other sausage leaves me wanting.

This particular marketplace had an assortment of food, drinks, sandwiches, as well as a mini coffee shop! Truly, something for everyone and my sister-in-law and husband both bought a bag of the coconut curry popcorn!! I've read other posts about the prices and the sandwiches within this particular marketplace and sorry, I'm from Silicon Valley, but the prices are the same with Silicon Valley as this little particular shop! That being said, they had a number of organic, eclectic, allergy sensitive items like gluten-free or vegan items that I only see at specialty stores all within a nutshell of this little hidden gem in the middle of nowhere mind you!! I also loved the corner, left hand spot of a mini pharmacy where they had a handful of organic, home remedy items that you could buy over-the-counter!! I wish I could have tried one of their sandwiches, but we are eating dinner across the street at a nostalgic Italian restaurant, and I was very eager to see what they had!! I can't wait to come back to this adorable little town and come shopping again!! They also had an amazing wine selection, and I would love to try all the local wineries that I saw driving into this little hidden gem within Sebastopol! I can't WAIT to come back here! I truly lived their little shops within this hidden valley of a town! The turn of the century buildings reminds me of Sutter Creek, CA! See my review on The Restaurant across the street The Negri! We ordered a small roast beef sandwich, but their homemade chili caught our attention as we stood there waiting for the sandwich! Folks, the chili was delicious! So much so that we ordered one quart to go! The staff got us what we needed promptly and with a smile. The store is spacious and organized, with a variety of goods. Overall, it was a good shopping experience.

So glad I finally did! Beautiful interior with a large wooden bar and lots of house plants. I got a vanilla bean latte and my wife got a strawberry matcha. We also got a chocolate croissant and a ham galette. All were delicious and were extremely high quality, which is an odd way to describe food, I know. However, I watched the barista make the drinks and he was extremely measured and clearly experienced. We could also see the kitchen where food was being made. My point is they are very committed to their craft here! The ambience is so cozy! Nice warm lighting, lots of seating, and even a kids play area. And the large windows with the fog rolling through the redwoods really ties it all together. If I could work remotely from here, I would! Can't wait to come back to this spot next time I'm in the area. Incredible food and drinks and unbeatable ambiance.

The Avocado Smash (with egg on the amazing sourdough) - so unique and tasty with black garlic aioli and chili pepper water?! Perfection. Hojicha, black sesame and a few other select lattes that are unique around here. A bit of an Asian flair on the menu with Korean fried chicken tacos, chicken katsu on the kids menu along with bowls and salads. The only miss for me was the chocolate croissant which was good in flavor but not a flaky croissant experience, darn it, since I don't eat that many. Much to love here - enjoy!!

Every staff member we communicated with was caring and knowledgeable. The quality of the beef was top notch. Unfortunately, they were out of prime grade, but the Choice grade that I was offered was marbled and beautiful. We smoked half and oven roasted half and both were succulent and deeply flavorful. Our guests devoured it all! Willowside Meats will be our go-to meat store from now on.

We had a great…read moreexperience with them and tried to do it again this year but they weren't taking orders, which led us to Willowside. We opted this year to do a half cow, which now seems to me probably overly optimistic, but that's what we did. We wanted grass fed/grass finished which is usually more expensive and harder to get, but Willowside told us no problem and we put down the $100 deposit. It seemed like almost overnight they were able to get all the stars aligned to get the cow ready and they were already calling me for preferences on cuts. I love the attention to detail we were given on education of different things, because for me having been a vegetarian for many years, this is a lot of info building still. We found out our cow topped the scales at over 800 lbs so our half share was about 412 or so and cost about $2300. We opted for vacuumed packed rather than butcher paper, and gave them our preferences on size of cuts. When we arrived to pick everything up we did have some challenges with making sure we had everything - I was told it would be 8 boxes but it only ended up being 6, and we couldn't find the bone marrow which was one of the big selling points for the half cow. Undaunted we took our prizes home and I set out packing two complete freezers full of meats and bones. I have yet to try the beef but it looks beautiful. Overall it was a good price, quick turn around, and I especially liked that the grass fed cows come from Full Circle Ranches which is in Petaluma and is run by a friend of the owner of Willowside so that's good local business. Definitely looking forward to burgers and roasts in the very near future!
