If you get the chance to meet him, you'll understand why people talk about him like he's an icon. And the food... wow. The jerky is absolutely to die for. He even told us to stop back by before we headed home because he was making homemade focaccia. We came back, and he wasn't there, but he had the focaccia waiting for us anyway. That small gesture says everything about the kind of person he is. We left with jerky, his amazing garlic horseradish mustard, and summer sausage, and we already can't wait to come back. Next stop will definitely be his deli. Angelo is the real deal, kind, thoughtful, and unforgettable.

The jerky was truly the highlight. The employee let us try all of the jerky samples (generous portions) we wanted, and talked about what kinds of flavors and textures would be best for our tastes. My favorites were the teriyaki turkey jerky and garlic beef jerky. Both varieties have a sweet, tender chew. No dried out jerky here. Make sure to check out the grab and go refrigerators opposite of the cash register. I made sure to grab a bag of smoked bacon ends/chunks which made an absolutely divine addition to my cherry tomato and Marin French Cheese angel hair pasta a few nights later.

Last year we bought a quarter cow from Buds Meats with the cow from Stemple Creek. We had a great…read moreexperience with them and tried to do it again this year but they weren't taking orders, which led us to Willowside. We opted this year to do a half cow, which now seems to me probably overly optimistic, but that's what we did. We wanted grass fed/grass finished which is usually more expensive and harder to get, but Willowside told us no problem and we put down the $100 deposit. It seemed like almost overnight they were able to get all the stars aligned to get the cow ready and they were already calling me for preferences on cuts. I love the attention to detail we were given on education of different things, because for me having been a vegetarian for many years, this is a lot of info building still. We found out our cow topped the scales at over 800 lbs so our half share was about 412 or so and cost about $2300. We opted for vacuumed packed rather than butcher paper, and gave them our preferences on size of cuts. When we arrived to pick everything up we did have some challenges with making sure we had everything - I was told it would be 8 boxes but it only ended up being 6, and we couldn't find the bone marrow which was one of the big selling points for the half cow. Undaunted we took our prizes home and I set out packing two complete freezers full of meats and bones. I have yet to try the beef but it looks beautiful. Overall it was a good price, quick turn around, and I especially liked that the grass fed cows come from Full Circle Ranches which is in Petaluma and is run by a friend of the owner of Willowside so that's good local business. Definitely looking forward to burgers and roasts in the very near future!

Their produce at two price points of conventional and organic, their meat section offering all local and fresh options, their bakery is delicious and so beautiful, their deli with to-go food and sandwiches, and the soups are amazing, their taco and sushi bar, along with their hot food and salad bar all cannot be beat. They also have a bulk section for nuts, spices, honey, water, candy, coffee, etc. and offer everything else a grocery store would. The prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores, but you're paying for quality. Everything is fresh, the store is always so clean, and people are for the most part always friendly. They hire people with special needs, which in my opinion, is my favorite part of visiting there. Their butchers are always so friendly and helpful. Their only downfall is SOME of their cashiers. They often are lost in their own conversations, and do not greet or engage their customers. They can come across as rude or unfriendly for this reason. But over all, Olivers is my go to spot for all local meats, delicious and beautiful cakes, and to-go food. Highly recommend.

Perfectly cooked, great flavor, generous portions. It never tastes mass-produced or frozen. It tastes like a steak that was actually cut and grilled with care. The Cattlemen's Steakhouse - Rohnert Park location delivers every time, and a big part of that is Corey. I've had him as my server more than once, and he's locked in. Drinks refilled right as you finish. Plates cleared at the perfect moment. Always attentive without hovering. He reads the table and stays ahead of what you need. On top of that, he's personable and genuinely upbeat. Every time I've sat in his section, I've left in a better mood than when I walked in. I still miss the old Petaluma location, but Rohnert Park is carrying the torch just fine with servers like Corey. If you want a steak that won't disappoint and service that's consistently on point, this is your spot.

I remember when the menu was à la carte, and they even brought out real dessert samples to show guests. Now, entrées come with side dishes, and they also offer a two-person deal that includes a shared appetizer, two entrées, and a dessert to share. While Cattleman's is still not cheap, it does feel more affordable than before. Overall, the food was good and all four of us enjoyed our meals. We shared the fried onion appetizer. One person ordered the 12 oz prime rib, another got the baby back ribs, and my husband and I ordered the two-person meal. We tried the artichoke dip, prime rib, and the cookie dessert--everything was solid and satisfying. That said, I was a bit upset with the seating situation. I specifically called ahead to make a reservation and explained that my second mom is deaf in one ear, so loud environments make it very difficult for her to hear. This restaurant is already noisy since sound carries easily with the wood floors, wood chairs, and no tablecloths, which I understand. That's exactly why I requested a corner booth and made sure to repeat this multiple times. I was told the note was made and understood.
