My brother and I popped in for the first time yesterday looking for dark soy sauce. This place amazed us both! It's a small market but don't let the size fool you! They are STOCKED with so many great items. They have dried goods, snacks, frozen/refrigerated items, and fresh produce. The aisles were all very clean and well organized. The green onions I bought were super crisp and fresh. Their inventory is reasonably priced. The staff was also very kind and helpful! I usually love coming here to shop snacks, ready made food, and whatever we may need. Yesterday I bought a spicy spam musubi and a package of their teriyaki mayo tuna rice balls. When I ate the tuna rice balls I bit into one that had a long strand of black hair right in it. It was in my teeth. OMG. I was so grossed out. Clearly the person who made these did not have their hair tied up. I am grossed out. Maybe no more ready made meals for me to buy next time. So glad we found this local Korean market! They have lots of fresh vegetables and hot foods, a great selection of noodles, sauces, desserts, snacks, houseware, utensils, side dishes, frozen foods. No fresh meat or seafood but there is frozen selection of each. There's even a large selection of alcohol including soju and makgeolli. The store is clean and everything is easy to find. All the prices are reasonable. Service is always quick and friendly. Love coming here and especially supporting local! The store is also conveniently located by the freeway. Parking can be slim but there is some space in the back of the store. Go slow over the entrance road to the store - there's a steep part of cement that I didn't realize was there the first time and def scratched the bottom of my car oops. read more

Immaculate, well-stocked, organized, cheerful guy at the register. Those were my immediate thoughts as I walked into this cute market. They have a good assortment of rice, tea, noodles, snacks, fresh veggies, frozen items and prepared foods. If you need a special ingredient for a dish, Asiana is sure to have it. We enjoyed browsing through all the products and took a mental note of all the things they stock. I was impressed that the little town of Cotati would have such a nice Asian market. I can't believe I've not been here in such a long time and that I've not written a review. I'm so fortunate Asiana is only blocks from my home. I used to be a regular here yet somehow stopped coming for a while. I'm back now and will be returning. This is a small store but has everything you need to prepare Asian food. I was excited to find organic miso paste here- half the price of anywhere else. Not only do I use miso paste to make ramen, it adds a nice savory flavor to my baking. I also picked up my favorite rice seasoning- nomi komi furikake. The store is clean and organized with excellent customer service. read more

I never knew this cute quaint little market was even here on the corner! There's a little pizza spot right across the walkway from it, and I knew about that place but not this little grocery store. I'm so glad I saw it and was able to go inside! It was very clean and well kept, although it did have carpeting which I found odd, but very organized! They even had fresh vegetables in the back! There were two employees I saw working, and one gentleman was restocking as the other gentleman was at the register. I couldn't find any seaweed to wrap sushi, and the gentleman showed me the aisle. That was the one aisle I skipped. Lol. They also have a really good freezer section with a handful of delicious ice creams that you can only find at certain stores like ranch, 99 or H Mart. I'm really glad I found this little spot tucked away here in the middle of the countryside. I will definitely be back! Oh they even have freshly made Korean style sushi, Kim bop. Yummy! read more

This store was a good place to shop for Korean food at a decent price until about five or six years ago. However, recently, it has become very expensive. They jacked up the prices because it is the only Korean grocery store in Sonoma County and North Bay Area. They have no competition, and they take advantage of the situation. Due to the increased popularity of K-drama and K-pop influences, they are getting a lot of customers. Their attitude toward the customers is complacent and uncaring. The owners no longer acknowledge customers or greet them with smiles. One of the workers accused me of being rude to her for speaking English instead of Korean. I find this to be appalling and inappropriate. In addition, they sell more prepared and highly processed packaged food that is rather unhealthy, with a lot of sugar, fructose corn syrup, and harmful ingredients. It's hard to find wholesome produce or ingredients for a home-cooked meal in this store to make authentic Korean food. The store-prepared foods do not list ingredients on the package or the accurately described quantities. They are filled with sugar and unhealthy fats. Please be aware of the products you are buying and read the labels before you purchase. The store is filled with highly processed packaged and frozen food. What they have on the shelf is not authentic Korean wholesome food. Many of the frozen foods in the freezer may be old and no longer good. Please read the expiration date. PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED!! While the store looks immaculate and is well organized, many of the products in the store are unhealthy and harmful for your body. The photos that are posted on this site prove my point. Unfortunately, it is the only Korean store in Sonoma County. The owners seem to care less about their customers and more about making a profit. First thing when I moved here , I yelped Asian Market. This one came up here in Cotati and was so excited to check it out . Lots of awesome finds here . From Mochi Ice creams , kimchi, seaweed snacks , rice cracker snacks , vegetables , pickled vegetables , Japanese curry , Thai Tea , Matcha powder, frozen gyoza , Gochujang & many sauces ... the list goes on . I like browsing through there frozen / Fridge food , I was stoked to see the Korean corn dogs . I always leave with with a bag full of goodies . This is a fun and clean organized store . I love how all the aisle's have everything placed perfectly and how everything is in its own section. The best is that they have a wonderful mix of oriental variety of food . Not just Korean food . I've tried the pre-made food here before as well and absolutely love the Kimchi Fried rice . I find the prices to be fair/ moderate. I don't think anything is to expensive. And it's always nice to find something they are selling that you can't find at any other store around town or even in the US like the matcha Kit Kat's that I see , that would be ordered from Japan or off Amazon. Parking has never been an issue. There may not be many in front of the store but plenty along the side . I'd definitely recommend this shopping market and I plan on coming back to see what else they may be selling next time . Sparkling clean small market. My 1st visit. With the name Asiana I was expecting a pan-Asia selection of foods from Taiwan to India. Not so. This is a Korean specialty market. Many imported item on the shelves and in the freezer. I do not speak a word of Korean so the labels on many of the bags, boxes, bottles are a complete mystery. So I bought $40 of stuff that I do know and enjoy. Big bottle Kim Chee (of course). Brand I never bought before. Was expecting super chili spicy. Is actually pretty bland. The dominant flavor is garlic. Also bought pork steam buns, gyoza wrappers, bok choy, mushrooms, lemongrass, lotus root, extra firm tofu, etc... The small shelf of various produce is all fresh, crisp and pretty. A few different brands of rice wine, sake and Soju liquor on the shelves. Nice & friendly cashier. Among the 8 customers in the store during my visit, I was the only European. Popular place with the Korean community. Me likes. Will return to discover more goodies. read more

I was buying buldak crazy spicy ramen for the kids and the owner said "there's fresh and you'll save money if you want to try it. We have sauces that you can make a spicy sauce." So he showed me how to make it with fresh and identifiable ingredients. So now, instead of fried garbage and packet full of god knows what, we eat fresh homemade ramen that cooks in 2 minutes and doesn't stick together. During these SIP days, we often hear the rallying cry, "support your local businesses". Why not? It not only saves you time, money and toll to drive back and forth to SF but also minimizes your exposure to Covid 19. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this teeny weeny Asian market in my neck of the woods even though they have been in biz for only a mere 25 years! Impressive and amazingly clean for an Asian mkt! The shelves are reasonably well stocked with a preponderance of Korean and Japanese goodies that are competitively priced. What they do lack are Chinese, Thai and other Southeast Asian specialties. Go to Phnom Penh Mkt in Santa Rosa for these items. The owners are Koreans. It stands to reason that I'm highlighting some of the beloved Korean favorites they carry, some of which I can't easily find elsewhere. I was even more pleased to learn they were freshly made in house every morning. (1) Sliced Cabbage Kimchi ($7.99 per 7-9 oz jar) If you don't like garlic, then don't even bother! If a whiff of the pungent fermented cabbage and radish makes you sick to your stomach, stay away too! Oddly, kimchi is the national dish in Korea and an acquired taste for most Americans. But if you like sauerkraut and pickles, there is hope! Nowadays, I'll eat it with damn near everything from fried rice to Gimbab (Korean style sushi) to dumplings or straight out from the jar! (5/5) (2) Gimbab ($7.99 for 2.5 rolls of 8 pcs per roll) The roll reminds me of the Japanese futo maki where the ingredients are mostly veggies, eats like a full meal, nutritious and affordable. The difference is in the prep of the sushi rice. The Japanese rice is seasoned with vinegar while gimbab is seasoned with sesame oil and sweeter. For the undiscriminating, you can barely tell the difference and who cares anyway? Eat gimbab with a piece of kimchi on top and no dipping in soy and wasabi! (5/5) (3) Kimchi Fried Rice ($6.99) Meh, there wasn't any wok hay! The rice was mushy and tasted like glutinous or sticky rice. Maybe my taste is too Chinese! The ingredients were simple......roughly chopped kimchi, sliced sweetened omelet, slivered nori (roasted seaweed) and sesame seeds for garnish. Soy sauce and kimchi juice were added to taste. I'm sure there is a better rendition somewhere. (3/5) (4) Spicy Fried Anchovy ($5.99) Anchovies are not for everyone. Maybe they're OK in your pizza. I do love anchovies and they act as an enhancement to rice, congee and sandwiches or even as a light snack in front of the TV. The key is they've got to be crispy. The anchovies here were too sweet for my taste but otherwise perfect. (4/5) (5) Japchae......Korean Glass Noodle Stir Fry ($6.99) Japchae is as Korean as chow mein is Chinese or yakisoba is Japanese! This is the number one sought after dish during the Korean festive holidays. Count me in too with the proviso it has got to be done well. Credit goes to my yelp friend, Lori N's, version that had a balanced sweet and savory flavor, crunchy veggie texture and bouncy noodle texture without being mushy. Asiana's version was less flavorful and fell short texturally in the veggie and noodle departments but nonetheless still better than edible. (3/5) All told, I'm torn between 3 or 4 stars but with the friendly and helpful owner Grace, I'm leaning towards 4! read more

I have passed by this place so many many times. I finally decided it's time to stop in! Of course I checked the Yelp reviews and pictures as well. I was excited to shop around as I've only been going to my little hole in the wall Asian market here in Santa Rosa. Gotta be honest, I wasn't impressed. They have a really good selection of so many different sauces, noodles, condiments and different meats that I couldn't find at the shop I go to. What I did notice...they are pricey. I didn't see any peeled and cleaned frozen shrimp. I do normally get fresh shrimp but always like to have some in the freezer in case I want to whip something together. This store is amazing and has so many rare items I can't find elsewhere! It's the only place I can find Natto and love to see the plant-based frozen kimbap options. This store also has fantastic fresh and ready to eat meals, I got the sweet potato noodles with veggies and they were so good. Cute little Asian market! Some of my all time favorite dishes originate in China + Korea and I love attempting to recreate them to my liking and this store allows me to do so :) it's the first Asian market I've come across out here that sells thinly sliced meats, which I have been on the hunt for! It is a fairly small store, but everyone I encountered was respectful and the cashier was kind as well. They have a great variety of things you can't find at the other similar stores in Sonoma county, but their frozen section is a bit small compared to others. Nonetheless a super cool find and very worth checking out, I've read good things about their ready to eat dishes as well which I would like to try soon! read more

I'm so happy there's an authentic Asian store in the north bay. They have gimbap, seafood/scallion pancake (pa jun and haemul pajeon), japchae and other options made in house that's so good. They have mainly Japanese and Korean ingredients/snacks/frozen goods but still have fish sauce and chili oil so I'm happy. They have sashimi grade tuna and a variety of ice creams, frozen goods, sake and beer. Also a good place to get rice, sweet flour, red bean paste and regular home goods like chopsticks or otherwise. Definitely what I needed since I spend half my time here and was dying for Asian goods (fish sauce especially!). My favorite thing so far has been the ready made mochi they had in stock for a while. While not huge, Asiana Market has all the essentials for a Korean/Asian household up in the North Bay. Located in a small unassuming mall, Asiana Market is probably one of the smallest markets I have ever frequented. With the limited space, they do not have a limited variety. Yet, they have done a good job with selection of produce ranging from fresh produce to frozen meats and fish of the more popular items. For example, small batches of kimchi are available but not some of your other typical Korean banchan. If you are a fan of Korean/Asian snacks, Asiana Market does not disappoint! The market is really close to a freeway entrance/exit so it is kind of hard to see from the street. The parking is limited but the lot is never too crowded. If you are looking for a market and don't want to drive all the way to the city, Asiana Market is a great place to start! read more

I have been trying to find a Korean market in the area, as it is a pain to have to drive 6 hours round trip from lake county to get some korean staples. I was very excited to see they had ban chan ready made here! My daughter and her boyfriend bought me some from San Fran that was not good at all, the ones here at the Asiana market were really great! They have a nice butcher area as well with lots of different options and friendly staff. There are even some housewares I am going to purchase the next time I go. They had tteokbokki as well which is my daughters favorite. Store is on the smaller size but lots of stock and options other than just korean pantry items. A must go if you are in the area! I am in an LTR with Asiana market. I'm not going to lie, I've cheated twice with Mekong market and Asia Mart, but it's my deep feelings that keep me coming back to my true love. She's aging, frail, and not as beautiful as she once was but she still remembers when her shelves were full, as well as her isles, and so do I. That said, I love the fresh sushi, mochi, and chop chae that you can find weekly, along with seasonally made side dishes. The produce is always fresh, and the selection of traditional and contemporary home decor, noodles, and seasonings are a constant attraction of this place.
