Panera Bread is expensive. The soup and salad or the salad and sandwhich is not a deal. There is no discount for ordering together half a sandwhich is not reasonable. I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad because it has egg and I wanted the extra protein. I ordered a half size and dined in. The line was long to order, one cashier but he was polite and multitasking while serving customers. Tables were clean, pick up for food was fast. I was picking up food to go and ordered for my father the chicken roma asiago bagel stack. There wasn't a long line cashier was pleasant. Once you order your food you go to the back and wait until your food is ready. In the back is the seating area, the tables was nice and clean. I just joined the Panera club after coming here and being asked so many times. I got a bunch of free stuff so far. Maybe I'll keep the membership. I went twice last week. I literally get there at 10:25 every single time like right at the breakfast cut off. I make a TikTok in the coffee area, no one judged me and the iced coffee is 12/10. I had the new chicken chipotle avocado hold the avocado and hold the chipotle sauce. It was good and reminded me why I love Panera. They have good food. The service is pretty good too I see they have a new lead whatever there he is on point moving back and forth between the registers and the coffee bar. It's clean here and they open before the mall. Dear Panera patrons: after explaining that the spout of a carafe was caked up with dried up half and half that was thick and crusted, I was informed by the manager on duty that the coffee carafes are changed every 6 hours ! It was 11 am. Panera opens at 7 am. From the color and crustiness of the milk in the spout my impression was that the carafe was never cleaned from the night before. In the mean time the cashier wipes off the carafe with a paper towel after that same hand just handled cash and register keyboard BE DILIGENT about how your food is being handled...Panera should have a food handler check those carafes more frequently and not be so cavalier about the health and well being of the customer. read more

It is pretty good for its mall location, but expect shoddy mall service and quality. That means a lot of baked goods and pastries are often limited or not stocked well. The service is fine, but I've had issues in the past when mobile ordering it would take a lot longer than I expected it to take. The soup always seems a little lukewarm too. Despite it being in a mall, this Panera has a really large footprint so there is ample amounts of seating in the back corner, so that's pretty nice. read more

I was never a Panera fan while I worked in Midtown for 8 yrs and I see now that it could have been that way because I had so many options. Now that they've slowly been slipping into the outer boroughs I slowly find myself falling in like. So here's the thing. Panera to me is like the date you have fun with but would never introduce them to family per say. It's one of those let's keep it on the low type thing. If I'm in a mall , I'd rather eat at Panera than one of those random mall food court spot where some random chick is forcing you to take her chicken on a stick. I'll pass. So under those circumstances Panera is a safer, cleaner and I can get soup. I've been to this location a couple times. If you come here looking for standalone Panera store service, this is not the place. This location is definitely reticent of the mall with employees that are hit-or-miss and spotty stock of food items. It seems every time I come to this location whatever my 1st choice is is out of stock. Today was no exception. The standard soups for summer are in short supply. When I got the 2nd choice that I made, regular chicken soup, there was less noodles, chicken, and veggies than other locations and the piece of bread was much smaller. The taste is pretty much the same the temperature could definitely be warmer but you're at Green Acres mall, what do you expect? The worst experience ever today. I am frequent costumer. 621744387062 The manager was very unprofessional and the ladies at the front as well talking among themselves and laughing. I asked if they had bags of coffee. An associate said yes. I asked grounded or whole bean. She answered grounded. I said let me have one. How much is it by pound and paid over 26 dollars expecting at least 3 pounds. The associate walked to the back after I paid and came back with a box of already made coffee. Maybe she did not understand so I said I wanted ground coffee she said this is the only one. I requested to speak to the manager because I didn't want a box of already made coffee. The manager did not even bother to look at me and threw a bag next to me with 2 - 3 ounces of coffee and a folded box. She did not even looked at me threw it and walked away. HORRIBLE. I would give this Panera location 5 stars but I took one away for the lack of quality in staff. First off, I'm a salad person so I love to eat Panera Bread's salads. Not too often because they're pricey but when I do, I like to enjoy it. When they opened one in Green Acres I was excited because it was close to my house, but I knew "Green Acres" has a rep. Of course it was valid. The staff making my salad was so ghetto and rude. They have a nice waiting area where you can see your name and if your food is being prepared and also you can see your food being prepared by the staff. That night It was two employees making the food. They kept saying "I'm not making it"..."No you make it"..... I was soooo turned off watching them make my salad my gosh! I don't understand! Guess I never will. Good old Green Acres I guess. But anyway, my salad was delicious of course. Fresh as usual. However I feel like that staff member that didn't feel like making my food did a good job at making my salad look the way he felt. I'm reviewing this Panera specifically because I know Green Acres Mall carries a negative stigma so anything associated with this mall, there's an assumption that customer service is probably bad. I walked in Panera Bread around 12pm on a Saturday. Jamie, the girl who attended me was very sweet. (I paid attention to her name tag because her hospitality made her stand out from the other employees.) I appreciated that Jamie was really patient with me and didn't give off any hints of annoyance because i had a hard time deciding which sandwich/soup to get. She just laughed. I ordered the Frontega Chicken Panini and told her I wasn't sure if Id liked chipotle mayo on it. She suggested to keep it as a side . I had a hard time deciding on soups and she told me I could sample them. What?! I didn't know. I've been to plenty of Paneras and not once have I've been told I could sample them. I choose the Lemon Chicken Orzo. I recieved my food in under 5 mins. It was the right temperature ,didn't get ripped off with any ingredients plus flavorful. Sitting down I noticed the place was really clean too. I'm happy that I left with no disappointments. Shout out to Jamie again. She's a great employee with great customer service. First, let me say that I love Panera Bread, particularly their salad options and soups (broccoli and cheese being my absolute favorite! Yum!) Now for the not so good comments... 1) They now seem to only fill up a half salad box...literally half way with lettuce! It makes no sense to charge over 5 bucks for half of a box of a substance that is 95% water. 2) Your bowl of soup is not filled up, and on occasion is luke warm. 3) They won't advise if they've run out of croutons 4)They quite often run out of food the later it gets in the day. 5) Most of the workers seem unhappy to be employed there. 6) The food prep area is always messy, unorganized and the wrapper/covers to the different types of breads are always left open, diminishing their freshness. Positive: 1) The manager did follow up with me via phone when I submitted a complaint with the Corporate Office. (Reason for the 2nd star) I promptly received through mail a $10 certificate towards a future purchase to make up for the errors that were made on my mobile-pick up order. 2) There are 3 employees here who exemplify excellent customer service. Convenient. Clean. Friendly. I placed my lunch order using the Panera bread app and when I arrived approximately 10 minutes later, my meal was in the bag and on the shelf ready to go. My order was correct and the food was very good. The Wi-Fi worked well and I was able to get my work done on my laptop and enjoy my lunch for the hour that I was there. The lunch hour rush was not as overwhelming as I have seen it at other Panera breads, so it was nice to be in a comfortable setting to focus on my work. read more

More than a month ago, I bought their expensive lobster rolls for my parents and after my mother ate them, she not only found a cracked lobster shell inside, but also a rock the size of a nickel. This can cause serious tooth problems when biting and luckily my mother only had a minor crack. I contacted Panera thinking they would be able to explain or compensate, but NO. Oh hey Panera Bread! Recently (Aug 2017) Livestrong rated Panera as the #1 best fast food chain for eliminating antibiotic usage with its meats (go Panera go!). It's great to see a large brand like Panera advertising "clean eating" and staying true to that statement. Often looking to Panera for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner option (now affirmed by this article), I'm so glad to have this store close to my home, but it's not the best Panera I've been to. Panera as a chain gets a 4.5 in the fast food category for me, but this location really just gets a 3. In most instances, I'm a big fan of Panera's mobile app, which allows you to place an order from your mobile device (including all customizations), pay for the meal on the app, head to the store and simply pick up your food from the to-go counter about 10 minutes after you order (if your order is ready you're literally in Panera for 30 seconds). The app is also great at keeping stock of what's still available at the store and what is sold out for the day. This location is great at having mobile orders ready at the promised ready time and usually has a fair amount of items in stock throughout the day. Why doesn't this location get a 4 or 5 star rating to meet my overall Panera rating? Just a couple reasons. First, the location and size of this Panera Bread is just ok. There's not a terrible amount of seating available, and the location is quite busy, so I would not be inclined to dine in regularly. Second, this store has forgotten some extras on a few occasions. For instance, tomato soup at Panera comes with croutons by default. Just about every time I've ordered tomato soup here, they've forgotten the croutons (I should really catch on by now, but other Panera locations are usually good at remembering these little details). I can't speak much about the staff here because I have not spoken with them much (again because I mostly use the mobile order system), but I see other Yelpers aren't too impressed... another factor leading to a modest 3-star rating. The store is usually clean, the food almost always comes out as expected, and the experience is just fine. Come here and you shouldn't be disappointed. Still, compared to other Panera Breads that I've been to, this location just lacks that extra something. It provides everything promised "as expected". If it weren't for RVC's difficult parking, I'd likely head to the Panera there much more than to the Green Acres location. read more

My local Panera and I love it. I've never had a problem ordering in or ordering on mobile. Love that they are never too busy (at least the times I go). The staff is all amazing and they don't have any problems if you ask to customise a sandwich. Also free refills is nice as they have the drink machines on the outside near the pickup area. read more
