Came Through the DT the other day and some young lady with a orange hat & arm tattoos made my day 10x better, After waiting 10 minutes for one smoothie it seems they had forgot i was waiting there this young lady comes to the window and apologizes she then gave me the smoothie on her along with a free pastry of my choice. She seemed more concerned about my wait then i did and i feel like she should get some recognition for that. usually when i come thru drive thru the employees are miserable and rude. read more

I really didn't want to give this place ANY stars. All you need to know (and I have photographs as proof) that in the lemon orzo soup I ordered last week there was a dead bug. The server and manager both seemed DEEPLY unfazed, as if seeing insects in the food were an ordinary matter. They refunded bill but could care less otherwise. BUYER BEWARE. I love eating at Panera. Love their variety. The Kingston Panera is the closest one to me and on the occasions I've ordered online for RapidPickup it just hasn't been rapid. I've had to wait every time because there always seems to be some issue; didn't get the order (although I received an email that they did), ran out of an item (at 10 a.m. in the morning!?). I've given up on RapidPickup. They also need to be stocked better. Yesterday no honey walnut cream cheese and no Greek yogurt for the grain bowl. Sad. read more

I usually like Panera Bread but the Kingston location always seems to disappoint. The table I sat at this past visit was wiped but still extremely wet which I always think is gross- I had to go back to get napkins to clean it myself. My plate came out looking like someone threw the food onto it- not that it needs to be artfully arranged but I would like to think that someone is paying attention to each plate before it goes out. Oh well, it's just Panera- I'll probably go back sometime and hopefully it's better the next time. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I've been there many times and each time it gets worse and worse. I kept giving it chances thinking it was just an off day or an anomaly but no, this establishment is just horrible at this point. I painfully regret not snapping a pic of my meal to demonstrate the ridiculous portions. My husbands Steak & White Cheddar Panini had LITERALLY 2 tiny slivers of steak on it and he also ordered a side of Mac & cheese. They downsized the Mac & cheese/soup cups to these little to-go paper cups.. I ordered a French Onion soup that for some reason, came with no croutons nor cheese, as well as a Fontega Chicken Panini. Let me not forget to mention, I asked for NO raw onion on my panini and the snarky cashier responded "So, you want the French onion soup but you can't have the onions on your panini? Makes a lot of sense." I had to explain to someone working at a food establishment the difference between raw and caramelized onions. Then I had to ask for the baguette that was supposed to come with both meals. I brought all of the food back up to the counter and then got an attitude for asking for a refund. With the terrible attitudes and the fact that my order is always wrong, Panera has run out of chances with me. Ridiculous prices for bagged microwaved Mac and cheese & 2 mini slices of meat sanwiches, if you ask me. Never will I put my money towards this place again. Save your money, BEWARE PEOPLE. read more

I walked in and ordered and specifically said I had a deathly allergy to garlic. I was told that my order didn't have garlic in it. It went through the cashier and the cooks in the back and not one person caught that the BREAD I ordered had garlic in it. I went home and took a bite out of the pickle and thought it tasted like garlic. I looked online to see if I could get the ingredients for the pickle and instead found out that my bread had garlic in it. Again, this is a deathly allergy. When I sent an email to Panera, their customer service person offered an apology, said that the issue would be brought up with the specific cafe and proceeded to tell me that she would put a $5 credit on my account. Panera in Kingston is usually always good. There have only been a few instances when the food I ordered was not that great. I can say that the bathroom always smells terrible. I usually have to hold my breath! I am at Panera atleast 1-2 times a week and have never walked into that bathroom when it didn't smell like something weird. Also I was there the other day and it looked like a big boss was there, we were sitting near by as he discussed with employees many work related issues such as PTO, callouts and employees getting workman's comp, it also seems like they may have even fired someone. As another reviewer said, pretty typical Panera. It does get busy, VERY busy, but the staff has always been on-point, friendly and kept things moving. Panera is definitely over-priced, especially seeing as it's really not even that "all-natural" or healthy, but its SO DELICIOUS. Guilty pleasure for sure. And, they recently added a drive-thru which, if you're willing to wait, is awesome. But it gets very busy too, always a long line and they can't grab a pre-made burger from under the heat lamps. read more

I went to Panera this morning while doing my wash and got an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant which was utterly flavor-free...the egg, the cheese, the croissant and a cup of coffee so sour I threw most of it out. If I could use negative number sequence I would. The young manager is clueless on customer service. First I order a box of coffee from a person who clearly was not properly trained to be behind the register. As she needed help figuring out which buttons to push. The she brings out my coffee after waiting ten minutes or more in a box completely covered in the coffee around the opening that I was buying. And the neck had slipped inside the box because it was so soggy. I asked for her to re-make it for which I waited another 10 minutes for that! then after she proceeded to give me my coffee I was already late for my appointment. I had noticed the coffee was without cups, sugar creamers & lids. Needless to say, I went back and wanted to speak with the manager. Went here for the first time and last. I got a turkey- avocado Blt. The lettuce was so wet, the bread was totally soaked. It was thrown together so quickly the bread slices weren't lined up.
