Just got a pick up order from Panera Bread Tyler with a ROTTEN FRUIT CUP. It was obviously old and the fruit was rotten. Tried to call them but nobody answered and the voice mail was "full". They used to be good, but now it has gone down hill. I think management needs to be fired and replaced. No excuse for serving rotten food. read more

The young man taking the order was very polite and helpful, he seemed pretty new but answered all of our questions. The young female manager with the blonde hair, however, was very rude. She was very rude to the employee helping us and to us as well. Our food was good although it took twenty minutes to get here because it was dropped on the way to coming to our table. They didn't notify us that it would be a little while longer because it fell, either. This location would be great with better management, because the employees here are very helpful. read more

Went for lunch. Dining room closed but sitting outside was nice. They don't have their act together inside though. You'd thought a Greyhound bus had dropped in to order because it took 15 min to get 1/2 sandwich and 2 soups. Probably no thanks to China and Covid! read more

We found the food here to be excellent service was good the environment was great the place is very very clean I can recommend it for breakfast. We enjoyed the souflles particularly the artichoke and spinach soufflé and we also enjoyed the bagel the chocolate was great hot chocolate and I got a strawberry smoothie and it taste very very good read more

I love Panera's commitment to healthy ingredients! The food is tasty (Love the broth bowls)! Their atmosphere is warm, but if you don't have time to sit down and eat you can order rapid pick-up, or use their drive thru. The drive thru can be slow, but these aren't pre-made meals, so allow time to put it all together. I also like the Panera reward program, because you get nice little freebies now and then. read more

I was the only one ordering when I arrived. It took around 12 mins to recipe a half beef and cheddar Panera and my half chicken salad sandwich. The clerk who took my order suggested my chicken salad sandwich be packed separated....not put together so I could take it for my lunch. I appreciated that. Well, it would have been great if they had packed the bread. My beef and cheddar was not very good. There was not a lot of beef and it was tough. When I took a bite, half the meat came out of the sandwich. The horseradish sauce was too strong for me. I saw other customers trying to get their orders fixed. Someone was missing a hot chocolate, someone's to go order was wrong and I heard the employee say that they remade the sandwich and gave her a whole sandwich instead of a half. The problem could be that 2customers (I think they ordered) were visiting with the preparers at the pick up bar. I was dissappinted. The price was too high for what I received. read more

This was my first visit to Tyler's Panera. I truly appreciate the free wifi, but you can get that in many places. It's the food at Panera that never fails to satisfy. On this visit I enjoyed their Greek salad. Suffice it to say I will order it again. Deliciously fresh veggies topped with a taste bud pleasing dressing really hit the spot. Wow. Some of the posters for Yelp are completely misleading. Firstly, let me start by saying that some of the people who rated this a 1-2 stars left very misleading reviews about this place. When my wife suggested to eat there, I immediately looked online to read reviews of the place before committing, as I wasn't really in the mood for a sandwich, and I wanted to try something new instead. There were a bunch of "poor customer service" or "worst customer service I've ever experienced" type of comments. This immediately drew red flags, as I've eaten at Paneras in Colorado and in Florida and haven't had one complaint about the service (the prices are definitely a different story, though...). I hadn't been to the one in Tyler yet, so to read all of these comments, they almost MADE me want to go just to see if what they were saying was true. So I decided to go the next day on my lunch break. I was greeted by a nice gentleman (who I'm assuming was the manager) as soon as I walked in. The floors were a bit dirty, but this was at 2:30pm, so their lunch rush was probably to blame for it. I asked him what his favorite item on the menu was, and instead of a "well everything's good" type of response, he went in to detail about all of the options you have, and how flexible they were about making requests for taking things off/adding things. He suggested the new bbq flatbread, which I gladly paired with their baked potato soup. He not only repeated my order, but told me HIS name and let me know that if there was anything I needed, I could come to him. "Is this the poor customer service that everyone's talking about?" I wondered to myself as I poured my soft drink. Before I could even sit all my stuff down and log in to their free wifi, my food was on the table and looked freshly made. The flatbread was good as was the soup, however when I went and added tobacco sauce to the soup, I was instantly hooked! Also, while I was eating I heard the manager encouraging his staff about how well they were working, and seemed enthusiastic about doing a good job while encouraging the other workers to do the same. And while he was walking around the dining room, he actually remember MY name, as well as one or two customers who had been eating before I was there. WOW. How many times have your servers used your name after only hearing it one time? I was very impressed by the experience, however I almost felt betrayed by the reviews I had read, while grateful for them at the same time. I felt betrayed because I read all of these poor reviews about service that were dead wrong! While also feeling grateful for reading those, because my longing to see if what they were saying was right, was what led me to going! For those reading this comment, please do yourself a favor and just try the place for yourself. One thing I've learned from these sites, is that most people who leave the negative reviews are usually just out for blood because of something that was to their dissatisfaction, and typically add an outrageous amount of hyperbole to their stories in order to make people feel the way they do. These people work to SERVE YOU and TAKE CARE OF YOU. That's literally the industry they work in: service. Yes, there will be times that your food will be wrong, or an issue with your receipt will come up, or they'll give you the wrong drink or forget a napkin. In these instances, you need to call and SPEAK to a manager, and not degrade, yell at or belittle them for an oversight. I'm almost positive that if we called the supervisor to any one of these posters that leave negative reviews, that there would be plenty of instances of oversights, or times where they didn't work at a high level. This is a risk you accept when you are working with people, who are flawed by nature. Please do us all a favor and leave reviews that aren't sweeping generalizations, or make accusations about a company or establishment that is just an isolated instance. However, some of you are just plain grumpy, unpleasant, and judgmental people by nature, so this probably won't happen (not to point fingers, as I accept that I'm not a perfect person either). By the way, when I brought up this site and it's poor reviews with the manager as he was walking around the dining room, he gave a great response to the critics. He said "It's hard to please everyone, to be honest. It doesn't mean I can't treat them with respect or work hard to fix their mistakes when they bring it to my attention. That's why I'm here! Some people just like to gripe..." Isn't that the truth! read more

I travel for work to Tyler often and consistently have an amazing service experience at Panera. Amber works every morning I'm in town and is great to interact with every time. She is quick, helpful, and thoughtful in the customer experience she creates. So much so that she met me at the door this morning with my to go order. I will always recommend Panera in Tyler. My husband and I eat at the Panera Bread in Tyler often. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. I would prefer if they had more booths instead of tables, but that's just my wish. We have tried several different things from the menu; including soups and sandwiches; and we have loved it all. The service is always fast and the waiters/waitresses are friendly. I love Panera Bread. And, now that I'm Yelping... I wanted to write a raving review of the place. Came in on a cold & cloudy day... Ordered the Pick 2 / Fontina Grilled Cheese & Creamy Tomato soup. (x2 - my wife had the same thing) To my chagrin, it took a long time to get our order & both of our grilled cheese were COLD by the time we got them. How does this happen? It's a basic comfort food meal "souped" up a little & it was botched. I will come back (it's the only Panera in Tyler) and I will review again IF they wow me. read more

My first trip to Panera....where the exit and entrance make for a very crowded entry/exit. I arrived at 11am....and breakfast was no longer available...but did have a cinnamon roll...had to heat my own....placing an order is very difficult due to the noise...also had the egg soufflé not bad...wouldn't order again. Ordered hot tea....no cup just paper....and had to make my own. Ok, I am spoiled....but they did have a nice quite area to eat in and a great patio. read more

The French Onion Soup was not very good. The broth part was thick, croutons were sprinkled in instead of bread, and it was topped with some shredded cheese! Not what I would expect AT ALL for French Onion Soup. I just did not care for the taste of the broth! This was the 2nd time I ate the soup and the last! read more

We have dined at numerous Panera Bread locations and never had a negative experience. That is, until we dined at the Tyler, Tx location. We were there on a recent Sunday evening at around 6:30. There were only a few other diners in the restaurant. When I ordered a sandwich that contained avocado,imagine my surprise when they were out of avocados! At that point, I wanted to leave but my husband thought I was being unreasonable so I made another selection. When our meals were delivered, my soup was not the one I ordered. When I mentioned it, the employee just stared at us. Finally my husband asked if he could bring me the correct soup,which he did. To top off our less than stellar experience, my husband's Italian sandwich had one measly slice of salami--guess they were out of ham that night too. We are still fans of Panera but will NEVER dine at the Tyler location again. read more

Well I am a fan of delis in general, their food is good and I love a place with a choice in bread. But I will say that being said I almost always have to check my drive thru bad. Sadly they must be short handed or always training because stuff is always left out. Theses are things extra I request and did pay for. So I do expect them to be in my bag. A bakery style place with great bread. Good lattés made from an actual espresso machine. It's soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch. They do pastries and egg sandwiches for breakfast. They have the calories next to everything on the menu so you don't get tricked into eating an 1000 calorie salad. read more

Panera Bread has been great until today. I ordered a cesar chicken salad sandwich at the drive through. Got home and I don't know what happened. There was no "salad" to it (compared to earlier experience there). There seemed to be some sort of cheese in it that did not taste good. It was just loose pieces of chicken and this strange cheese, dry on two slices of bread. There was enough lettuce on it to use on a dozen more sandwiches. I didn't take it back because the traffic today (day before Thanksgiving) is horrendous). They used to include a pickle spear with their sandwiches but not the last two time I've used the drive through. Oh yes, there was plenty of red onion and a slice of tomato. I'll have to think twice before returning. Also the server didn't ask if I had a Panera card, which I do. read more

Please wrap a huge pickle up with my sandwich so by the time I get home to eat the pickle juice has soaked through the wrapper and gets completely absorbed by the bread - said NO ONE, EVER. I've eaten from numerous Panera locations in 5 other states and they have never wrapped the pickle in with the sandwich. WTF is wrong with this Panera?!? Seriously, who thinks that's a good idea? Had to throw it out and go to Smashburger for something edible. I'll never go back to this location again. But on the plus side it was my first time at Smashburger which I really liked. Even though there were several people behind the counter, it took a long time for anyone to ask what we wanted. When we ordered water to drink they gave us specimen cups. I had to ask for a decent sized cup. The kids grilled cheese was not fit for human consumption - hard, dry and barely any cheese on a half piece of white bread. I took it and gave my daughter the soup. They did not give us a choice on the kids grilled cheese and when they brought a tube of yogurt, I asked about the apples and the guy said they can't take it back and while I was talking he walked away. It was, without a doubt, the worst meal EVER. I will never go back and have already told anyone that will listen how horrible it was. Most agreed with me. read more

Very disappointed with this Panera Bread. The service is atrocious and the food is bad. The new Green Goddess salad was horrible. It was supposed to have chicken in it, but no chicken was found. You'll find one tiny avocado piece in it maybe. I think they are trying to save money on salad and pass on the "nothing" to you, the customer. This has happened the last three visits.
