Ahhh I love this place and have been coming for years but the last few months every time I get the potato soul the potato has been raw :/ not every piece but about 80% of the potato is raw. I'm a super picky eater and potato soup is the one thing I get, it just sucks, and they got rid of my favorite sandwiches so all I order is the soup. Also super watery recently. Mrs/myself recently stopped here while running several errands. Her clinic had ordered sandwiches from here a few months ago. The inside was very clean and inviting. not a good experience at all, We went in to order dinner, We order the bowl of chili with extra crackers, 6 inch french dip sandwich, and a kids meal baked potato with mac n cheese and cookie. strawberry lemonade and UNSWEET tea, well we got the food thank god we checked it before we left, to start with no crackers at all, no au jus for the french dip, no sour cream or butter for the potato, no cookie, and to top off the food experience, the tomato and cucumber salad had one little piece of cucumber in it and I search that whole bowl, we get home and my diabetic wife tries her unsweet tea and its sweet tea, well that is not good she can't drink that. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes so-so, but overall a solid lunch stop. It's a little chaotic when you first walk in - who is in line? What register is open? - but it moves quickly after you place your order. I'm especially loving the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich special they have right now, anything on a pretzel roll and I'm sold. Service is friendly, everyone is friendly and willing to get refills or anything else that might make your meal a little better. Knocking a couple stars off because it's a little dirty, especially the bathroom. There used to be a stool in the bathroom which was awesome for helping the kiddos reach the sink, which was well needed after using that bathroom. We really like Mcalister's, but I can't give this location 5 stars. Last two trips here they've given my wife the wrong dressing for her salad...gave her sweet chipotle when she ordered raspberry vinaigrette. One dressing is thick and the other more fluid, so not sure why they can't tell the difference. Lastly, the tomatoes on both our salads had several nasty pieces in them. See photo. I love McAlister's for all the reasons most people do... massive cups of tea or lemonade, fat sandwiches or salads, and huge cookies. Service at most McAlister's is usually always kind and quick. However, I love this place for a whole different reason... this is the place where I would "pay to park" while studying during college. Tea refills are free, so I would come in when it wasn't busy and order a meal and a tea and park in a booth for 4-5 hours straight just studying. It was also a place of refuge from a job where I not only lived on property, but where I once worked (at times) 90 hours a week. I would drive in on Sundays after morning chores and sit in a booth and decompress from a crazy week and enjoy my tea. Some Sundays my mentor, who has since passed away, would join me. Sometimes we would sit and study together, other times we would just shoot the bull, but my favorite times where there over a cup of tea and a cookie discussing incredibly important life happenings. So, this check in happened while driving through town on a road trip and stopping for a massive glass of half and half tea (half sweet, half unsweet) with a lemon in his memory. read more

Once we did get our food they had the order wrong. Asked if we needed anything else and we asked for napkins. No napkins were brought and no one else came by our table to check on us. Very unimpressed! So, after posting my review I was quickly contacted by someone from McAlister's offices who persuaded us to give them another chance.
