But I noticed that the bathroom was filthy. After washing up and returning to the dining room I started to notice that walls, tables, floors, pretty much everything appears to be dirty. Service is what needs work.....come to dine in to enjoy loud staff member not sure of name but she has pick hair bashing customers saying "she will refuse service if someone requests no ice" just complaining about peoples orders who for one made no changes to a menu idea. I've worked restaurant for over 20years sad excuse of a team member. Spoke loudly and proudly about refusing simple requests. Will not be back. Many medical issue make it hard to consume ice!!!!! I placed a large order in advance for the next day. I said I would pick it up at 1PM. Í show up at 12:55 and ask where the order pick up was. They said , "Over there." So I stood there. At about 10 after, I went back to the counter and asked about my order. They said, "Oh, yeah. We're out of most of the bagels that you ordered." (No telling how long I would have been standing there if I hadn't asked.) Out of 26 bagels, maybe 10 were what I had ordered the day before. I wouldn't have minded except that I HAD PAID FOR THEM THE DAY BEFORE! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD THEY HAVE TAKEN MY ORDER AND THEN SOLD THE ITEMS TO SOMEONE ELSE!? We have family and friends that are addicted to Panera. Some of them actually have some sort of a loyalty program with Panera and I have one friend that literally eats there every single day. We honestly only came here because it was close to a toy shop that the kiddos wanted to go to rather than get in the car and drive somewhere else and find some thing we know Panera is a safe bet. The prices are high but hey the prices are high everywhere let's be honest. I enjoyed that one of my kiddos wanted to eat the Asian salad with me along with some sides of macaroni and cheese. We especially loved the coffee infused lemonades probably way too much!!! I was wired that night and wasn't able to go to bed until two hours later than my normal bedtime-lol ! The flavors of the fresh lemonade are delicious and we enjoyed having a taste test trying them all. I decided to join other family members and join the sip club. I'd never had it, because I did not eat there as often as they did. As we were in store dining, I initiated the membership, authorized future charges, then was immediately charged. I contacted "customer care", they agreed charge should not have occurred ... but above their pay grade to reverse it, they "submitted a ticket for upper mgmt to review and get back to me with email". Five days later, I received email stating "a refund was initiated, but could take up to 30 BUSINESS days depending on bank". It took under 2 minutes for their technology to charge me, WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, and less than 24 hours for my bank TO PAY THEM. Now, an additional 9 days later, THEIR technology has still NOT figured out how to refund me ... my bank is NOT the issue, it knows how to credit me refunds WITHIN 24 HOURS. I finally started using the membership on the 11th, after my request for them to reset date to ACTUAL START DATE OF COMMUNICATION went unresponded to from the 8th. So, a FREE 30 days in their world REALLY IS a PAID 20 days! Bottom line, imo, IS DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! read more

Service was great and the dining area was clean during lunch. I always order a pick two with a turkey apple sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. My sandwich was loaded and fresh. The soup was perfect. I was visiting relatives and had to come to Springfield for some things. I was happy with my visit to this Panera. I do think the parking area was rather cramped here though. It wasn't very well thought out but I suppose not much can be done about it at this point, as the shopping complex Panera is in is quite small and doesn't have adequate parking for the many businesses next to Panera. Only my second time dining at Panera. I had the roasted turkey and avocado on rye. It was descent. The baguette that came with my sandwich was my favorite part of the meal. The macaroni and cheese was also VERY good. The sweet-tea wasn't sweet enough for my taste. Today is the third time in a row my order has been wrong from this location. I have had to return to the store to retrieve the missing items that I discovered were missing once I got back to my office. Today, thankfully, I checked my order before leaving the parking lot, and they had forgotten the dressing for my salad. If this happened once or twice, it would be no big deal. But the fact that I have to spend more of my time to fix the problem, and that I never have these issues at other Panera locations in Springfield, is ridiculous. This is the most convenient location to my home and work, so I would love to see something change so the service is up to par. Can Zen...whatever that is, really happen in one bread bowl? i have found it. I don't know about you, but sourdough makes me happy. I love the broccoli cheddar bread bowl at this fine eatery. I especially enjoy this location. They are courteous, yet they have a sense of "Don't run over me." which I always like as a consumer. I haven't been to a Panera in awhile and stopped by here on the way to the airport with a work colleague. I love that they have calorie counts of everything. It makes making healthy decisions easier. As I am watching my weight I was very happy to see i could do a pick 2 for less then 300 calories. I got the chicken orzo soup. It was delicious, flavorful and filling. I also got the strawberry chicken poppyseed salad. I have had this in the past and love the combination, a little sweet, a little savory. I was full with these two low calorie items, and even had an apple to spare. A great price too. The service was friendly and super quick. Ordered a sandwhich once and it was...not great. I gave it a second chance and it was even worse. Chipotle chicken melt was horrible. Very bad for 10 dollars give or take. Never again. I work close by this Panera so I am here quite often. Everyone that I have seen work here, has been pretty friendly besides one employee. I believe that her name is Martha. I have had multiple interactions with her where I have felt very disrespected. She acts very sarcatic and rolls her eyes when I have asked simple questions. I thought it would be fine to let this go even after multiple bad experiences wth her until today. I walked in and she was standing next to another girl at the pastry counter. After noticing that I had walked in she then leaned over to the girl and told her to take my order because she didn't want to. Other employees that I work with have came back to work saying the same things that she is extremely rude when taking their orders. I work in customer service so I get that you have bad days but that is no excuse to be rude to any customer. I am very displeased with my service and hope that this problem gets resolved. read more
