Wow this place is so cool!!! I am so impressed! First of all it's like hot pot and kbbq all in one, and right in front of you! The cooking thing is so unique - half and half. So you can pick your soup base and then you basically get unlimited meat options for the table. All the sides are unlimited and they are on a conveyer belt that just goes around and you just grab what you want. It's awesome!!! The TVs show what the different sides are. But they are all great. Also you have to visit the sauce bar to make your own sauce!! That was so delicious. The house sauce is amazing and a must!!! At the end you also get a little complementary ice cream! It's a decent size too! The staff is so nice too, we accidentally arrived way too close to closing and didn't realize it but they still served us and let us stay after. So nice!!! read more

Really neat experience that was a little different than the hotpot I've had before. At Shabu everyone gets their own hot pot / hot plate. Other places I've been it was one main pot. You can choose your broth and then what to put in it. You can mix it up with spices and sauces. They bring the meat selections and the veggies and noodles go by on a constantly moving conveyer belt. And it's all you can eat! Everything was really good and I would definitely recommend trying it. The only thing missing was a glass of wine or sake. There were no alcohol choices for drinks. But you do get free ice cream at the end so save a little room for dessert. read more

What a fun new place, an unexpected wonderful find during our visit to Springfield. It's a fun concept: each person has their own soup and warmer spot with unlimited items on conveyor belt, which includes various noodles, mushrooms, veggies, seafood (fresh and frozen shrimp, oyster, muscles, fresh calamari), dumplings, egg rolls, and sweet sesame balls. Lunch price ($20) includes 5 meat items and dinner price ($30) has more premium items plates that servers will bring over upon request. There's a limit of 4 meat plates per table. They also have a serve it yourself condiments station. I had a pork base soup and my husband had chicken and herb base soup. I like to put all the tough food in first that will take awhile to cook or won't get soft if it's in there for a long time, i.e. quail eggs, tofu, bak choy; then cook & eat the pork belly and other meats. Because more meat in soup = more flavorful! I love the ability to personalize my soup. When we're in Springfield, we'll definitely be visiting again! read more

This was my first time at a hotpot and I absolutely loved the whole experience. Lots of different food items on the conveyer belt to choose from. The meat options were delicious. You have 90 minutes to eat as much as you want and though the water takes a while to boil initially, it's still way more than enough time to enjoy a meal and get very full. They also offer ice cream at the end as desert which is a nice touch. Our waitress was very nice. Did not have high expectations going in if I'm being completely honest, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I would definitely come back in the future! read more

Hot pot is finally in Springfield! We came on a Wednesday night around 7 pm. It was fairly busy, but there were lots of employees walking around and helping. We were seated for 10 people quite quickly. Service was fast with drinks and getting our soups! Step one: we ordered individual broths. I had the #1 where they crossed out the "spicy". It tasted reminiscent of tom yum. Step two: all you can eat meat. We ordered beef brisket, toro, and rib eye. They're very thinly sliced and we could order as many as we wanted. There were lots of options. Step three: the conveyor belt was such a cool idea that I haven't seen done for hot pot (and I've had lots of hot pot across the country!). Very different atmosphere than the website portrays. Not well represented. Service was good. Experience unique. Food ok. The conveyor belt is neat BUT, I found no cooling mechanism. Greens wilted before our eyes and seeing all the seafood in that environment.... I stuck my hand inside and it was basically room temperature. Touched the belt...not icy cool either. Price was extreme. Two bowls of "make your own soup" and two iced teas cost was over $80 and additional tip. Try if you like. Glad I did. Probably won't return. read more

Soup was ok but, seriously, over $70 for two bowls of soup??? We got there at 7:00, they close at 8:00. They stopped loading the conveyor shortly after we got our hot pot. My niece was in town visiting from California and she wanted to try hot pot which neither of us had tried before and this place did not disappoint! The ambience was great, there were so many options to choose from, and the service was spectacular! Our waitress was Christiana and she was friendly, very attentive, and gave us thorough instructions on how everything works and where everything is. We had our fill of food and will definitely come back to try out all the other options we didn't get to try! The fresh veggies and noodles on a conveyor belt are fresh. The meats are thin and plentiful. Hands down one of the best new places in Springfield. My only suggestion would be to ask to taste the broths if it's your first time there. The beef broth is a sweet, which I wasn't expecting.
