This is my first visit to this Panera Bread location. It seemed relatively clean, and the venue was quiet and peaceful at mid-morning. I was in the mood for something new, so I decided to try the BLT sandwich. The BLT turned out to be completely delicious. It was also almost ludicrously overpriced... The staff was friendly and unobtrusive; I almost felt like I was visiting a library while I was here. All things considered, I'll continue to visit this Panera location when I find myself in the area, but I don't think the BLT is good enough to merit its very hefty price tag.

Southwestern Chicken Ranch Salad & Zesty Tuscan Asiago Bagel Stack (You Pick 2, 1/2 and 1/2)

Stopped by here for lunch after a long local hike w/ our pup. Jeff helped me w/ our dine-in order, and I am grateful for his kindness. (I have also worked in food service & really appreciate the people who have to stand on their feet for long periods of time while assisting customers with their orders). Tried the New Zesty Tuscan Asiago Bagel Stack as part of the "You Pick Two," along with the Southwestern Chicken Ranch salad. The food came out fast, and now all I want to eat at Panera is this exact combo &/or def. the bagel stack item. Yay for a new item that hits all the mark for both taste and satiety. The eatery is very clean compared to all of the other Paneras I have been too, and love the outdoor seating so our pup can enjoy a nice lunch/water break with us.

I love Panera, this is the only bad one I've ever been to in the entire state of CA. Asked them if the Chipotle chicken sandwich had cheese. Said no. Ordered. It came with surprise cheese which wasn't on menu. Took it back. New one came with no sauce. Dry as cardboard. Cost me 9$. Internet isn't working, the only reason I didn't ask for a refund was because I'm starving. 0/10 can never recommend

Caesar salad, French baguette and Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich

Came here for a late lunch with a friend. We were here on Tuesday at approximately 3:15 pm and noticed a large group of high school students dropping in after school. It's a great place after school to grab a snack and use the free wifi the restaurant provides. It did get a little loud, but the students were well mannered and respectful of other patrons. Tip: If you visit and wish for a quieter experience, you may want to visit earlier, before 2:30 pm or later, after 4:30 pm weekdays. I ordered the "Pick Two" option. My order consisted of a half a sandwich (Bacon Turkey Bravo), half a salad (Caesar without Chicken) a 1/4 portion French baguette and a medium coffee. In the past, we used to be able to choose the type of bread we wanted with the sandwich, but I was given no option. We also used to have the option of receiving a choice of sides, an apple, a bag of chips or a French baguette, I was not given a choice for the side as well. For this reason, I deducted a star. My Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich, was delicious. Just the right amount of turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The turkey had a smoked taste and all the other ingredients balanced the flavor of the sandwich well. The Caesar salad was a half sized serving. The taste was adequate, but you may want to ask for the dressing on the side. Some people like to have more dressing and others may like to have less. Asking for the dressing on the side may give you a better idea of how much flavor you want on your salad. If you need more, you ask for more and if you need less, you can cut back on the amount. All in all, the food was good. I always love the coffee at Panera and I usually love to take my time enjoying every sip. You have a couple of choices to choose from, decaf or extra strength. You also have the choice of milk and sweetner. If you're like me and like to take a cup to go when you leave, request a "to go" cup when you place your order and you'll be all set. Every now and then, I just like to go to Panera for a cup of coffee and a baked good. It's a treat while you surf the web using the provided wifi and you can enjoy as much coffee as you like while you relax.

Guess I missed this Panera location by 11 years since people already put reviews about it. Located in a very populated shopping plaza, also huge building by the way, nice and clean inside, got outdoor seatings, employees greeted you while you were getting drinks, fully stocked on cups, nothing hidden behind the counter, seems like the most normal location I've ever been since November of last year, now that I found out about the place, if I am in between Encinitas and Carlsbad area, I'll know where to hang :)

This is my neighborhood Panera Bread, i love the location and cozy outdoor patio with a fireplace (not sure if that works, i have never seen it lit). Its located inside the shopping plaza next to Orange Theory. If you a coffee lover, their coffee club is definitely worth it. For $8.99 per month you get unlimited coffee or tea. I usually visit Panera during breakfast and i highly recommend trying their breakfast egg soufflés, the other eggs sandwiches are great as well. If you join their free rewards program you will get some perks like a dollar off your lunch or a free treat and so on..

Everyone who waited on us were attentive and personable. Coya Peruvian Secret lives up to precisely what their name suggests. . . so let's keep it a secret of on the down low. Shhhhh, it's better that way.

So we took the coast and enjoyed the long way to the restaurant so we could get there at the right time. No issues parking, but we went during a slow time. It's off steet parking, there's not a parking lot, but again we found plenty of spots right in front of the restaurant. They have pretty and colorful decor. Fun lights and beautiful flowering tree coverage. Seating is outdoors so dress accordingly. I knew this because we've enjoyed dining here a few times, so I actually used my little throw blanket. It's causal but some Couples dress up and eat here too. Server was great. He was tentative and nice. I knew I wanted the shrimp causa and my daughter's favorite Peruvian dish is Lomo saltado, so thatd what she ordered. He told us about the specials so we went with trying the baked scallops. I'd asked for 2 and he accidentally brought 4 but immediately realized and without us having to even ask, he offered to take the extra two off. So grateful he caught that. My daughter doesn't like scallops and I just wanted to try them. I like sea scallops but these were bay scallops. I never asked so I shouldn't have assumed. It was a tasty appetizer, talked my daughter into trying it but she wasn't interested to try more. She loves Parmesan cheese and there was a lot but she wouldn't attempt the scallops. They were not under nor over cooked. I'm not sure what made it taste so unique but we both agreed we've never tasted anything like it. The shrimp causa wasnt the same flavor as months months ago. We don't live near so it's been a while since we've tried it. The alioli was a lot spicier than ever but still had good flavor but the causa was dry. But I had a side of alioli to help with that. Shrimp was tasty. Several other restaurants shrimp has been tasting off for months but this place shrimp tasted better. The Inca and chicha were delicious. I miss the cut up apple they use to put in it but still tastes fresh. Lomo Saltado was just two huge potato wedges and very few rice. Look at the photo. We did not eat any of it yet. This is the portion. It had good amount of jugó but the flavor wasnt like anything we'd tasted in Peru. BUT there's many many areas in Peru and we've only lived in a few and have only visited a handful more so just because it's not like any lomo we've tasted, doesn't mean it's not Peruvian. My daughter still liked it. It was high soy sauce and high vinegar taste. Lomo has both, but it was missing the cumin and flame flavor for me. We don't like potato wedges at all but she cut it up and made due with it. We were sooooo hungry from all day at the zoo so we almost finished all of it. None of the dishes are repeats for us but again, they taste good, just not the flavors we are use to, it's been a while so maybe that's why the causa and lomo tasted different. The server asked how is everything, im sure if we had said something he'd probably sought to help, but really it is what it is. I just think they cook differently then what we have had living in Peru. My husband had the seco here time ago, it's was incredibly delicious. He loves lamb. It was cooked perfectly and the frijoles were delicious as well. I hope the decide to put that dish back on the menu. Please. Not every visit is gonna go perfectly, that's not possible. Still a fun colorful restaurant with great service. Plates had great presentation. Not long at all ago I enjoyed the ceviche. I was just too cold to get it this time. Gonna got for it next time. Another couple got a huge salad. It looked so good, imma look for it on the menu next time.

Which is what brought us to Beeside Balcony in Del Mar during the 1st SDRW of 2026. We had Saturday night reservations & got into town early with some time to kill. We found nearby street parking fairly easily. The hostess was able to quickly accommodate us with a table despite our early arrival. Indoor dining space is minimal. But as an upstairs restaurant with "Balcony" literally in its name, the outdoor patio is where you want to be. Our server was a inconsistent on attentiveness & was slow to warm up, though she was quite personable later in the meal. Along with all of the al fresco charm dining on the balcony offered, there was also a curious & less desirable element of the ambiance. During our meal, someone went around shooting pics/ videos for social media. It felt distracting & intrusive. While the SDRW menu was what brought us here, we opted for the Chef's menu after looking over all the options. I ordered the Salmon Croquette/ Denver Steak/ Churros. She ordered Cioppino Soup/ Barramundi/ S'More Cake. Although the pacing of our courses from the kitchen was uneven, most of what we had was good to great to wonderful. Sharing tastes of our dishes with each other, the 1 egregious miss for me was the Cioppino Soup. The seafood in it was good. But that broth was not. Aside from that, the Salmon Croquette & the Barramundi were delicious. The Denver Steak was a revelation. I'd never heard of this cut before, so I looked it up. Truly, a bang for the buck all star. & prepared perfectly here with a fantastic chimichurri. For our desserts, my Churros were good but not anything to get particularly excited about. Now, on the other hand, that S'More Cake? Wow. insanely indulgent with an ooey-gooey center. I honestly can't think of a better way to end a meal. Overall, the ambiance, service, & food all had highs & lows. Collectively, though, the sum total of the experience was pleasant enough that I would be interested in coming back. My threshold for 4 stars is if I'd come back. So, 4 stars it is.

One of the better locations of Chin's Szechwan imo. We ordered some our favorites: Hot and sour soup - Rich and chock full of crunchy bamboo shoots and mushrooms. Great textural experience. We love the crispy noodles that come with, both in the soup and as a little snack on the side dipped in hot mustard/chili sauce. Tofu chop suey - Nice variety of vegetables. The fried tofu soaks up all the flavor of the white sauce, definitely the protein to get with this dish. Crispy pork - A little salty, definitely needs the rice it comes with, but otherwise super delicious, savory, crisp lightly battered pork. Definitely recommend. Reminiscent of Beijing beef but with pork. Not a super strong pork flavor under all the seasoning so I wouldn't hesitate if you're looking for a substitute for crispy Beijing beef. The portion for this was very generous. Spicy Honey Sesame Chicken - Their version of orange chicken. A little more heavily breaded but super delicious and a little tangy. Definitely hit the spot for my craving. Garlic scallops - Comes with nice variety of veggies in a rich and spicy (optional) sauce. Scallops were a little chewy. All dishes come with customizable spice level. They also served us free rice and tea upon request.

Fidel's was always the go to main spot, but it would often get too busy and crowded so Tony's Jacal was a solid second option. It's a traditional sit down Mexican restaurant with truly great flavors and quick service. It's quite large on the inside, they have indoor seating and out, and when you sit down you're given a number and then when you are ready to check out and pay, you leave the table and give the cashier your number and then pay at the front. A unique system, but it works. Parking is also extremely easy, there are plenty of free spaces all around the restaurant as there is a large parking lot attached on the side and then back. Everything that we ordered came out very fast and our server was friendly. I started off with a cup of the Albondigas Soup and loved it. It really hit the spot on a cold November night and I would happily order it again. For my entrée, I chose the El Rey combo and selected Carne Asada and Chile Colorado (red). Both were great as expected and the tortillas were fresh and delicious. Every part of the meal was honestly really good and I have zero complaints. Pricing is fair, the menu is huge, and service is fast. It's a great option if you're in the mood for some great Mexican food.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY…read more Came in on a Friday around 1:15 PM. The patio had a few tables already seated and looked nice at first glance. The experience started off a bit off-putting. There's a sign saying no dogs allowed on the patio, which felt odd for an outdoor space. We were told dogs weren't allowed, even though another table had a dog sitting there. Our dogs are registered service animals, and when that came up, the interaction felt tense rather than straightforward. We ultimately said we'd take our business elsewhere, especially since there are other restaurants very close by. After that, the situation shifted. One of the staff members ended up seating us, and our server was genuinely great. She was kind, attentive, and easily the best part of the service experience. Another staff member did seem a bit uncomfortable or standoffish when bringing waters, but things improved once our server took over. Food-wise, I ordered the turkey taco and enchilada combo with rice and beans. They're known for turkey dishes, but it didn't really stand out to me. The turkey was on the dry side. The beef enchilada was better and pretty standard for Tex-Mex. The salsa had a solid heat to it, which I didn't care for. They don't serve queso, which was surprising. I also tried the guacamole, but it tasted more processed than fresh, so I wouldn't order that again. We also tried one of their popular margaritas, which our server recommended. It was fine, nothing memorable, but not bad either. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. At checkout, the same staff member who initially handled the dog situation was much friendlier and even gave us a chocolate on the house, which was a nice gesture and appreciated. Overall, the patio is cute and the service from our server was excellent. That said, the initial welcome and inconsistent handling of the patio policy left a bad first impression. Food was average. I don't see myself coming back though.
