Awesome new restaurant in the new office complex at Torrey Hills. Beautiful setting and good food at reasonable prices.

This place is hard to find, but if you do find it get the smokey chipotle chicken bowl, it's excellent!

Clean restaurant, great menu selection and the food is very tasty. It gets busy during lunch rush but it's worth the wait! Great service!

Wtf is carne asada less expensive than freaking falafel! Does not seem fair to people trying to eat more sustainably.

Loved this burger joint and was so happy we chose to eat here for lunch…read more The space was so cute and vibey with the decor. The area was clean and bright. The staff were all so nice and friendly. And service was QUICK. I got a Double Original MeltBurger with lettuce and tomato, and subbed cheddar cheese with provolone--it was DIVINE!! I loved that they cook their patties a bit pink in the middle, which allows it to be more tender and moist. Every bite was just heavenly burger goodness in my mouth. Think In n Out burger but elevated. We also got some Cheddar Bacon Ranch Fries; they were good and tasty, but with how loaded and decadent my burger already was, I think I would've preferred either the plain fries or sweet potato fries with my meal. Overall, we'll definitely be back here when we're around the area again!

THE MELT @ DEL MAR HIGHLANDS…read more Parking is easy here, which is a big plus. There's the multi level parking structure behind Urban Plates plus surface parking throughout the center, and I've never really struggled to find a spot even when it's busy. You can get in from El Camino Real by the Chevron or from Townsgate Drive near Cinépolis. The Melt itself is a fast casual place, so you order at the counter and they bring the food out. The inside is clean and modern with a lot of natural light, and there's outdoor seating too since the whole center is open air. Not a place you'd sit for two hours, but it's comfortable and wasn't too loud when I went. I got the regular cheeseburger and it came on a toasted potato bun with this spicy cheese sauce that was so good. The patty is Angus and wagyu, chopped and grilled, so it's actually juicy and not one of those thin dry fast food patties. It was $12, which felt very fair for the quality, especially for this area. Most of their burgers run around $12-17. The location is great if you're already out here. Cinépolis is right there, the Sky Deck is upstairs, and The Melt is open until midnight every night, so it's clutch after a late movie. I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're at Del Mar Highlands.

Disappointing experience -- felt like we were an inconvenience…read moreI stopped by around 8:35 PM because I was craving two Jersey Mike's sandwiches. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was that the meat slicer had already been cleaned and the ingredients at the counter looked like they had been put away. The employee at the front looked at us like we were interrupting something, which immediately made us feel unwelcome. I understand that it may have been a slower night and that employees want to get out on time, but the posted closing time was 9 PM. I expected that customers walking in before closing would still be able to order what the restaurant normally serves. As I approached the counter, the employee told me, "Just to let you know, she doesn't have any more bread." I understand running out of something can happen, but at a sandwich shop, bread is kind of the main ingredient. I wasn't interested in getting a bowl when I came in craving a sandwich. Honestly, I'm just glad I didn't place a mobile order ahead of time, because I would have been pretty frustrated to drive over expecting two sandwiches only to find out they couldn't be made. Instead of arguing or making a scene, we just said "alright" and left. It wasn't a huge inconvenience, but the overall experience left a bad impression. I don't usually eat Jersey Mike's, but I was actually excited to try it again, and unfortunately this made me hesitant to come back. Hopefully management can remind the team that customers who arrive before closing should still feel welcomed and valued.

Their freshly baked cookies are pretty fantastic too! They also have a variety of frozen items you can take home and heat up yourself, including pies, breads, and more. Their menu is pretty simple. We went for breakfast, I had the avocado toast and added eggs. It was so refreshing, especially with the balsamic on top. My husband got two of their quiches, and we split a cinnamon roll. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious, and it's such a great option if you're limited to a gluten-free diet. The staff is also very friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting, and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I really wanted to like this place, but I left feeling pretty disappointed. One of the items that…read morecaught my eye was the "4-inch quiche" for $10. Based on the description, I expected an individual round quiche that was approximately 4 inches in diameter. Instead, I received a relatively small slice cut from a larger quiche, which was nowhere near what I would consider a 4-inch quiche. It essentially looked like a small little cake slice. They also don't display the quiche, instead they hide the quiche in the back so it just kinda feels deceptive. To make matters worse, the quiche itself was somewhat dry. For $10, I expected a 4" quiche and a better overall experience. I was genuinely excited to try this place and had high hopes, which made the experience even more disappointing. Hopefully the description can be clarified so future customers know exactly what they're ordering.
