A decent alternative to avoid the lunch rush at the more popular One Paseo, Del Mar Highlands, or Sky Deck area. Cafe Pascale's is located along the walking trail behind One Paseo. They have a pretty big selection of lunch options: sandwiches, wraps, salads. I've gotten wraps and salads here before. A cute little patio seating area is available or many folks get takeout back to their offices. It's certainly a lower price point than the other places in One Paseo or Sky Deck. I thought the shrimp option from The Ocean salad was quite good (~$10) and good well. The feta cheese on that salad was super fresh. read more

The old cafe here shut down awhile ago and it took a really long time for a new one to open but happy it did. It's nice to have a convenient lunch option rather than driving offsite. Came by to order some lunch on Thursday and they were packed! SERVICE - The cashier seemed swamped. She took orders as well as went to the kitchen and brought them out. She was a little flustered but she was nice. FOOD Philly Steak - They ran out of the French roll! Nooo! This needed to be on the French roll but I didn't want to hold up the line and take my time to pick something else so I just got in on wheat bread. The flavor was solid. Meat was tender. I want to try it again on a French. Thai Chicken Salad (in a wrap) - This had so much flavor and they really stuffed the wrap generously. Definitely had that Thai spice flavor, which was nice. Overall, it was a decent lunch for being a business cafe. It is better than the old cafe that was here so thank you for the upgrade! read more

Cute little hidden gem. Came for breakfast while staying nearby and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and fresh. We had a bacon breakfast sandwich, sausage breakfast sandwich, and the açaí bowl and everything was delicious. Prices were good and their menu is extensive. Not a great experience, however, to be fair, I didn't realize this was located within a huge business center. I called 30 min ahead to pickup breakfast burritos for a meeting with a client. When I arrived they hadn't gotten started, and the place is so small it would've taken a LONG time to complete. I couldn't wait, so I was charged for what they had started to make and got a refund for the rest; I left empty handed and scrounging to find another spot to make food in a short period of time. To top it off, I had to pay to park and pick-up. Again, this was circumstantial and the food might've been good, although I never actually ate a bite of anything. There's a walking trail behind One Paseo connected to some of the offices and it's connected to the multi unit Spanish style building. Don't miss out on coffee, but the breakfast burritos are where it's at, as well as they have many different kinds of wraps, salads and sandwiches. I'd much rather support a family run shop (with great food) any day than the chain restaurants in One Paseo. Don't miss out!! read more

I work in the building where Cafe Pascale is located. We had a different cafe when I moved in here, but it was horrible! I'm so thankful that we have an awesome place now. The food is excellent, I've loved everything I've tried there. Some of my favs are Breakfast-Acai bowl, veggie egg burrito Lunch- the salads are all great and big portions. Sandwiches are definitely not skimpy. I love the Special BLT, it must have a pound of bacon on it. The tuna salad and chicken salad are both delicious. Their soups are wonderful too. They have chili (yummy) and lentil every day, then a third soup that changes each day. I'm so glad they are here! read more

Here on vacation so I was looking for some morning breakfast for my family & I, and the food looked yummy so I decided to order plus they were near by. I will say this.. delivery was fast so that was awesome, our fruit, yogurt parfaits and sausage croissants were good but something I could've gotten at the convenience store for cheaper and same taste. Then there was the not so great, the everything bagel, it was probably the worst bagel I've ever eaten (I ended up throwing it away). It was hard, thin and resembled the texture of styrofoam...that was odd. This was my experience for breakfast only so maybe their lunch is better? read more

This place is a gem! Really nice peaceful place to have a lunch or meeting. Very ambitious menu, but I stick to either the Cali Panini or Chipotle Chicken Panini. Both are excellent. I work here for a summer job and my lunch usually consists of a soup, salad, or sandwich from here. The chili and lentil soups are good, but the soup of the day can vary in quality from day to day. The sandwiches are usually decent, but the condiments are used too liberally and the meat can be dried out sometimes. The salads are all pretty good, but most of the food is a bit overpriced for my taste. Overall pretty decent for an office building cafe. I would give them 3.5 stars if I could. Good place to eat in a rush but wouldn't come out of my way to eat here. read more

The older woman who works there stated someone must have took it, when they clearly didn't make it or call out the number. When I asked for a refund she rolled her eyes at me. This location is brand new and I just tried it this morning for the first time since I work next door. The location is super convenient in the Hacienda building on High Bluff Drive where the old High Bluff Café used to be in the back parking lot adjacent to the walking path behind all of these office buildings. Basically looks the same as before but a bit newer and nicer. The couple working the counter were super nice. I saw lots of beautiful and yummy looking pastries, fruit cups, yogurt parfaits and pre-packaged salads ready to go. I ordered the Sunrise Breakfast sandwich with bacon and a 20 ounce Hot Mocha coffee drink. The hot mocha was great, not too sweet but piping hot and rich. It's made with Lavazza coffee which I really like. It was $4.50, which is not bad at all for such a large cup. The breakfast sandwich was missing the bacon but I really should not be eating bacon anymore so they did me a favor by forgetting it. However, the toasted English muffin was a bit dry and a bit tough. Hopefully, it will be better next time, maybe add some butter to it or use better quality English muffins. The one egg was most likely cooked in a microwave but it was not bad at all, I was fine with it as it was not dried out at all and was quite good. Cheddar cheese was standard. For the price, $3.71, it was quite solid and a good value. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point since they are brand new and still working the kinks out. I love the location and hope they will be very successful in the future. read more
