During my last visit to this Panera, I decided to try something different...I got the spinach and bacon souffle. They looked so yummy and tempting that I had to get one. I asked the nice lady to please warm it up for me, which she did. The pastry was really good...and at about 550 calories per item, it was not as bad as I thought, in terms of calorie count. Another item that I can add to my list of favorites....

I really enjoy the food here when they actually have what I want to order available, but the last couple of times I've been here they were out of bread! What's happening? Most recently I came for some bakery items and a loaf of bread at 10am, but they were out of everything I was planning to buy :-( I stopped by again the next day at 8am, and they STILL didn't have the any of the items I wanted. I asked at the counter if they'd bake more for a pickup later that day, and they just said no... Obviously this place is poorly managed, with terrible inventory control and staffers who don't care about customer service - I'll try another location before I give up on the chain entirely.

Got take-out here this past Saturday. 3 registers open at noon and the place was hoppin'. Waited in line 5-10 mins before giving my order. Cashier was helpful as I had questions. Off to pickup area. Another 5-10 mins. Pick-up crew very friendly and professional. I had ordered three pick two's plus two smoothies, strawberry for my mom and mixed berry w/Greek yogurt for me which was ice cold , thick & delicious I also ordered a cup of chicken & wild rice soup and a half turkey avocado blt on sour dough. Both were excellent. My mom also had a Greek salad and tomato soup. She enjoyed both. My companion had a strawberry salad (?) and a tuna sandwich. She absolutely loved the salad. Couldn't stop talking about it. The sandwich not so much as she said it smelled too strong of fish like it wasn't fresh. Overall a great experience and we will return soon. Update 3/08/2020 - ordered 3 flatbread pizzas; Chipotle Chicken & bacon, Margarita and Steak. The girl who took my order (Margaret on my receipt) was very friendly and helpful as was the girl at pickup. The pizza were excellent. Fresh, nicely distributed toppings on a crispy crust. Absolutely no complaints on any of the pizzas. They came out in 10 minutes so I was concerned; pleasantly surprised. I would absolutely order these again. Highly recommend.

Sausage, egg and cheese on an asiago bagel

Panera is a fun, happy family place. It's chainy and pretty consistent. Although they have some fun foods to consume. It's not really my go to spot. This particular store is a bit worn and needs some broom attention. They have some pretty strict rules as far as food storage - which I do appreciate. I had their sausage, egg and cheese on an asiago bagel. It's not my go to spot because their portions are super regulated. Don't come hungry - because you'll have to eat for two - especially their lunch sizes. The sausage on their breakfast sandwich was meager at best. The combo of the asiago and the cheese with egg left a pleasant lingering happiness on your palet. It's a great combo. If you are looking for a low carb experience - there aren't many options. They have plenty of seating and Overall a decent experience.

The sandwich had turkey, cheese, bacon ( I picked off), greens, and a delicious aioli sauce. I suggested that my husband and I go in and try it a couple months later. It is located in the same plaza as Avenue N in Rumford. The storefront is made up of a glass "garage door" so it is pretty cool and unique inside. Service was prompt and friendly. Hubby tried the Cuban, he loved it, and I, creature of habit, stuck to my turkey panini. Once we ordered, the sandwiches came up faster than I expected. I had to use the bathroom and had to go next door to Avenue N. The owner or manager held the door for me, and was very friendly. Everyone that we have met there is friendly. If you want a good sandwich you won't be disappointed!

Just a sandwich in regular size bread pressed as a panini, and it was $12!!! I had no idea until I had to sign for it! The special board didn't have a price and all the other sandwiches were around $8 so I thought it would be the same. Even worse, one bite in and I was disgusted. The chicken was not cooked well and had that rubbery texture where you have to really pull with your teeth to break it. I threw it away after 2 bites and I'm gagging thinking of it. This could be a one off, but I'm really bummed about wasting $12 on my one spend day of the week! I have some other little gripes that honestly bring down my old rating too. We bought some stuff from the shop, which is still really cute and offers a lot of local (though very upcharged) stuff. And when we checked out, there's a line for tip! Everyone feels weird leaving a tip line blank, so why is it there! Just to make us feel awkward?!? All they offer to drink is hot coffee or cold brew, everything else is a deli or store or serve yourself food so why even tipping! Just made me and my friend awkward leaving that line blank, made us feel rude but why would we tip for only buying grocery items.

When we're craving something a little more thoughtful than the standard eggs-and-toast routine, this is where we land. The menu is creative without being over the top, the flavors are usually dialed in, and it consistently feels like brunch with intention. This last visit, however, turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. We sat at the bar around 1pm, which is our usual move. The service was great. We were welcomed right away and had drinks in front of us in no time. I ordered a draft Blue Moon and my partner went with a glass of wine. Both were cold, fresh, and exactly what they should be. We started with the lemon ricotta donuts. These were delightful. The texture was spot on, tender and light thanks to the ricotta, with that perfect sugar coating. I would have loved a slightly more assertive lemon flavor in the dough itself, but they smartly included thinly sliced lemon rind on top so you could dial it up yourself. A thoughtful touch and a really nice way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the avocado toast for her main and it was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The sourdough had a great chew and structure, the avocado was well seasoned, and the sprinkle of cotija brought just the right salty pop. Bright tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, everything worked together. This dish absolutely delivered. I went with the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it missed the mark in a few areas. First, the poached eggs. The whites were a bit loose in spots and the yolks were slightly overdone. I know poaching can be tricky, it took me a while to master at home, but it was surprising to see the interior more cooked than expected while parts of the white still lacked structure. It was manageable, just not what I've come to expect here. Next was the mustard hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that punch of mustard, especially since I've had it shine before, but this time it felt muted. It was also looser than I prefer in a hollandaise. I love a good hollandaise, even better a béarnaise, and this one just didn't have the richness or body I was hoping for. Then there was the tomato. I understand we're not in peak tomato season, but even so, I can usually find more flavorful options at local markets and grocery stores. It appeared to be a standard beefsteak, and it just didn't bring much to the plate. A Campari or another variety with more natural sweetness and acidity would have elevated the dish and complemented the nicely cooked, flavorful spinach far better. On a positive note, the bolo was excellent. Such a great choice over the traditional English muffin and a perfect fit for a local spot like this. It had great texture and the slight sweetness usually balances the mustard hollandaise perfectly. Overall, Avenue N remains a place we truly enjoy. This visit just didn't quite live up to what we know they're capable of. I'm confident it was an off day, and we'll absolutely be back.

The brisket arepas were a perfect flavor combo. Our entrees were the filet and the lamb. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the quality and taste and flavor combos. Definitely want to try more of this menu.

(Sometimes a few bad reviews spread like wildfire & changing rumors back to the truth can hurt the bottom line). There is a delightful waitress you'll be glad to have serve you if you are lucky enough to be seated at her table. "Grandma (name)?" is a very happy way to start your day. She knows the menu well & can make you smile on your worse days. The menu has plenty to choose from & the portions sizes..epic! Eggs Benedict is 3 egg size. Pancakes & French toast orders are enough for today & tomorrow without adding eggs or meat. But their prices are similar to other places lessor size plates. There is an ramp at the entrance for those with mobility issues. There are a couple of handicap spots too. I do not know if the restrooms are wheelchair friendly as I didn't check it out yet. Even on a packed Sunday morning, the kitchen was quick moving the food out.. the waitress was right on top of refills too. Definitely worth stopping in & giving it a try but bring your appetite.
