Lily's Soups and Scoops was a stop for the 6th Annual Search for the Best Scoop Shop RI with RI Food Fights. This is a store that sells soups and ice cream. It is located next to a salon and a Chinese restaurant. There are parking spaces available up front. I had their Birthday Cake ice cream which is birthday cake batter ice cream with cake pieces and sprinkles. The color of the ice cream definitely caught my eye and it was very yummy. There are two tables and two benches outside for you to enjoy the ice cream. I want to come back and try their Yawgoo Valley Smores ice cream, which is a graham cracker cookie ice cream base, with ribbons of marshmallow and chocolate and their soups. Service was great.

I'm so happy that this place opened near me. The people here are so kind and everything we tried was great. There's not a lot of indoor seating, but it's very cute inside! Would recommend frozen iced coffee.

I came in here for a coffee, and waited forever. The girl behind the counter was giving tons of attention to a couple who was sampling things and ordering a bunch of food. I stayed patient and waited. She was doing everything from ordering to preparing the food. A line was forming behind me, and I was starting to think I should leave. She finally takes my order, and is super sweet and friendly. So, ok, I stay patient. She gives me a sample of the tomato soup, which was amazing. I decided on just the coffee and a protein ball. I finally have my stuff, go to the car, and it's the wrong coffee. Frustrated, I go back in, still being patient. She greets me and is so so sweet about the mistake and offers me a killer lemon meringue square. Long story short? There were plenty of reasons for me to be annoyed and give a low rating. However, this girl behind the counter was just so so sweet and attentive and kind. The food was amazing. So guess what? She made this place. She deserves a five star review. Thank you!

I visited Lily's as part of the RI food fights, July coffee challenge. This may be the reason for three stars as opposed to four. It is small and adorable inside with bright colors and friendly staff. we ordered 2 iced coffees and 1 vanilla milkshake. Coffees were ok, but not a wide selection of flavors etc. The milkshake was delicious. There were a variety of fresh soup offerings and ice cream flavors, which we did not get to try on this visit and may have resulted in a higher rating, since this may be the focus of the cute little shop.

I just had the most delicious roasted carrot and corn soup I've ever had, beautifully accompanied by some of the tastiest bread! This is my first visit here, and Lily and staff were very friendly and helpful. Such a cute place with such great offerings - no wonder my co-workers have been raving about it. Since I work right across the street, I am sure I'll be back for many repeat visits. Can't wait for next time!

The inside is small with only a few tables and some counter seating, but I really like the design choices they made. The plants mounted to the wall and natural light are nice. The baristas are super friendly as well. For food and drinks, I ordered the iced black sesame hojicha latte and I added ube cold foam, and the sausage egg and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich. I really enjoy the drinks here. The hojicha latte was quite tasty, not too sweet, and the nuttiness of the sesame came through. I have also ordered a hot latte on my first visit, which enjoyed a lot. The milk was steamed nicely and the espresso was smooth. Something to note, is that there are no ceramic mugs here, which is a bummer. The big thing for me that was a disappointment was the breakfast sandwich. It really felt and tasted like a frozen sandwich that was popped in the microwave. The biscuit was soft and limp, the sausage was that processed patty, and the egg was a premade flat circle. Overall, I think the drinks and lattes are really good and I would totally stop in for a pick me up any time, but definitely skip the food.

Super flaky and a lot of delicious flavor from the filling and garnishes. It was very busy when I stopped by midday. They were out of some items already (I missed out on trying the French onion croissant before they replaced it with another menu item). I did find a spot to sit outside but I can see it being even harder to find a seat during peak times. It's a bit off the beaten path yet it's known and popular for a reason. I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying more items and of course the coffee!

It was a Wednesday afternoon, and I was craving a good latte. I had seen this place on social media…read moreand added it to my list of cafes to visit. There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.

Well good news for those looking for a cozy place to get work done, this Seven Stars location not only has free wifi but has electrical outlets next to most of their tables! Coffee and baked goods are very tasty. I was a little disappointed the person who took my order didn't offer to warm up my pastry when I said I would be dinning in. I had to wait a little bit for my coffee, which was odd because they are usually super efficient. It appears someone took my drink by mistake. The manager gave me a coupon for a free drink next time I come in. Amazing customer service and everyone was so nice!

Ended up with a Pumpkin Kouign-amann (which, having been unfamiliar with this pastry, was expertly described to me by the server). It was very good. Both brew coffee were dark roasts that day. I enjoy a lighter roast so, while it did the trick, it was not my favorite. The bakery section (mostly pastry and breads) had a variety of fresh items. Loaves of bread were waiting to be bagged up and taken home. The display case was full. The seating area had plenty of tables and was immaculate. They also have a grab and go case with sandwiches. Overall, a nice spot!
