Love coming to this place to study. Lots of tables, lots of outlets for laptops, and free internet (although its usually not that fast). All the workers are very nice and pleasant, and they're also helpful in taking plates or trash away for you. I must admit, I've never really eaten the food here so I can't really rate the actual food. But I usually get a pastry and a lemonade or iced green tea which are all very good! Plus, free refills on the lemonade and iced green tea- that's definitely a bonus. Finally, one time I was studying here, and one of the workers came around giving out free pastries! Free!! It's been a few months since I've been back, so I figured I'd give them another try. Called in our order & was told 20 minutes. I came 45 minutes later & upon check in was told that it's not ready & I would have to wait. Hmph. While waiting, I'm reviewing my receipt & notice they entered the wrong sides. I finally get my order & briefly look Into the bag & assume everything's there. I mention to the worker the sides were wrong & she fixed it. I walk out to the car & get this feeling I should check the bag to make sure all orders were included. I dig through the bag & sure enough, one of my co-workers lunch wasn't there. Upset that I already had to wait even longer, I became more frustrated that they couldn't even get our order right! I walk up to the server's bar & simply tell them I'm missing a side of Mac & Cheese. The manager happen to be there, apologized & upgraded the small order to a large. Thanks for the compensation. The star is for the manager's customer service & his attempt correct their mistake. Sorry man, but much of your staff needs to be replaced!! Check out the ones that hustle & those that don't. In my opinion, Panera Bread would usually be a safe choice if you want to get something to eat without thinking so much. I've been here a couple of times although my Yelp check-ins say otherwise. The eating area was clean from what I saw and there were a lot of people there. On my most recent visit, I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup ($5.99) and the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt ($9.09). It took a few minutes before my food was ready. I took my food home and ate. The chicken noodle soup was good and flavorful to me. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt was delicious and wouldn't mind ordering that next time; although, I would probably try something else on the menu to try a variety of things. Love me some Panera Bread! This place is awesome. My first time at this location, I got a tuna sandwich. The lettuce was extremely fresh and green, so perfect that I enjoyed just looking at it. The tuna salad was flavorful and delicious. I got my order for take out and really appreciated the way they packed the food. There were actually mini soup bowl holders at he bottom of the bag to keep the soups in place and from spilling. Messier sandwiches were packed in a paper box; cleaner sandwiches were wrapped in paper. The side of bread for the soup and bag of chips were in their own bags, which made the carrying and transporting all the better. It's around 4 bucks, but it's a smaller portion. I strongly recommend you try it, though. This place also serves soups in bread bowls. It was so big that I had a hard time finishing it! I would not recommend this Panera location. I have given it several orders over the past year and they just are not worth it. Their salads which I order more often are made sloppily and the accompanying bread is just tossed in the bag uncovered. There are few places I can think of that are as spacious and conducive for meetings as Panera. Starbucks is usually too busy. Other specialty coffee shops lack often in chairs and table space. Like other Paneras, there are lots of tables, and outlets depending where you sit. And if the music bothers you, just bring a pair of headphones. Just okay. I appreciate places that have lighter or healthier options but for the price it's a disappointment. With that said, I'm use to the great bakeries in Santa Cruz where the sandwiches are over the top awesome with gourmet items and great sides for the same price that Panera is charging for lesser quality. In my opinion, the bread was a bit gummy in texture, the meat seemed to me a bit salty (disclaimer, I do a lot of my own cooking at home so I am super sensitive to salt levels now when I eat out) but on the bright side the drinks were nice. So I got this new salad while I was there (first time eating here, second time being here) New Chilled Shrimp & Soba Noodle Salad. I'm really not a sandwich person. There was a phase in my life where I ate way too many sandwiches because I was trying to diet. Thinking about eating at Subway still makes me cringe sometimes. Panera is definitely no Subway. For one thing, there is flavor! They offer a wide variety of interesting and different combination of flavors that are a little above the average sandwich shop. Their sandwiches may not be on the healthier side, but that's what the combo deal is for. You can pair your half a sandwich with a healthy salad or soup. I love their soups. My favorite is their broccoli and cheddar soup. Sometimes I just go there to have their soup and salad combo. They do offer pastries also, but I don't really care for those. I'm a big bakery freak. I think my standards for baked goods is just too high. The pastries taste like something you would get at a grocery store. But I try to avoid the sugary goods for the sake of my waistline. I think this is the best chain sandwich place out there. They're starting to pop up everywhere now. Come here next time you're looking for a good place for a lunch date with a friend. read more

The order was delivered exactly on time. Placing the order was simple, paying for it was equally easy. All in my group were thrilled with their box lunches. I could not be more pleased! I got a banana strawberry smoothie today. I should have never assumed. I paid $5.49 for a small/child size cup. 16oz which is two cups, but they didn't even fill it to the top. I come to this Panera every now and then, so I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. Every time I come in I always have great service. This Panera is always clean and there are always seats available, which is really appreciated! I most of the time get Broccoli cheddar soup, and if i'm feeling really hungry I'll do the you pick two and add a salad. It's 2pm on a Saturday and it's not. Yay at all so i'm pretty shocked Update** same day, just after we received our food. So what was annoying was they didn't ask us upon purchasing the chili if we wanted cheese. So we received the check and my bf wanted cheese. I brought it up to the pick up secion and the lady said I have to stand in line and purchase the verse. I said well I wish they would of asked us, we didn't know it was extra. Then I walked up to the front and noticed the line was crazy long and went to the door, so I walked back to the back where u pick up your food and told the lady that the line went to the door, and asked if I can just pay the $1 here. Lady said no , I said well I have my chili right here, ready to eat and after standing in that line to pay my chili will be cold and I won't want the cheese anymore. The lady looked at me and said well she can't ring me up.... So then I walked my self back to the line... And stood in the front, but to the side( not in anyone's way) a lady that looked like some sort of manager walked up to me and asked me what she could get me so I explained the story. And she rang me up $1.09 for the cheese. Kinda annoying. But I got my cheese .... My boyfriend wasnt too impressed I paid for it because he didn't like the cheese they gave us... Oh well. And I originally ordered bacon Mac and cheese but they didn't add the bacon and they don't even fill it up. The bread is extremely hard and stale while the Mac n cheese was watery and bland. I came to this location early in the morning and ordered to-go. I waited for a while and thought it was odd since those who ordered dine-in behind me were already getting their food. As I waited to have my named called, I noticed a to-go bag on their counter, but didn't think it was mine because 1) no one ever called my name, and 2) even though the staff saw me waiting for my food, they didn't bother telling me my order was ready. It wasn't until a woman who ordered 10 minutes after me immediately got her food made me realize that the bag that had been waiting on the counter was mine. I had been standing at the counter for a while and I was annoyed that the staff, who saw me waiting, didn't bother letting me know that my order was ready.
