There was a guy making pizza boxes near the pizza oven with his back to the counter (could see him through a window in the wall separating the cooking area from counter). I called out several times and he remained laser focused on building boxes and never heard me. Finally I sort of yelled to get his attention (that was embarrassing) and it wasn't until a different cook saw me that the pizza-box guy came out. He took my payment and seemed confused about my order. After a minute he collected my Pizzas from the back and then handed me an empty salad container. I asked what that was for and he said "you can go make your salad." I told him I specifically ordered a Greek salad. I said I expected that to be ready (I paid 11.99 for $3 worth of actual food). He said he needed to talk to his manager (what in the actual... I literally chose the Greek salad off THEIR webpage and he's telling me to make it myself?). He comes back and tells me the manager said I can make my own salad. I once again mention I ordered the Greek salad and that I don't know the recipe. Pizza-box guy goes to the back and brings out the manager. I tell the manager I ordered a Greek salad. He asks me if I paid (yes, that's what's super important at this moment - not the fact they can't deliver my order correctly). I said yes, I paid. He proceeds to show his team how to make a Greek salad. According to their menu, it is a lettuce blend, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber, red onion, garbanzo beans, black olives, pepperocini, crumbled feta cheese and Italian dressing. He made: lettuce blend, exactly two slices of cucumber, maybe 4 pieces of red onion, exactly two halved cherry tomatoes, one piece of green bell pepper (huh?), two carrot sticks (what?!), a tiny amount of feta and a small ramekin of Italian. No garbanzo beans. Mostly just lettuce. So... the manager didn't even get the recipe right. And I paid $11.99 for this hot mess of a salad for my girlfriend, who looked at it and said "wtf is this? This isn't a Greek salad." I told her the manager made it. She just laughed. The pizza was good but not kept warm at all. It was completely cold when I got home (two mile drive). I will not be returning to this Mountain Mikes when I'm visiting the Bay Area again. I've never had an experience that just ruined the meal here before. Seems like there is new management/ownership. It is not worth going to this location. Go to River Oaks location for the freshest Mountain Mike's in San Jose.
