Pizza Guys Combo
Ter L.

It took me a hot minute to finally go and review Berryessa's Pizza Guys location but here it is... The pricing is a little high but the ingredients and pizzas you're provided are delish!! The toppings are not skimpy and everything is so FRESH!! My family has only stuck to our typical combination/supreme style pizza because why not??! Lmao!! This gives you a little bit of everything and I am absolutely about that kinda life. My go-to order: [[Large]] Pizza Guys Combo w/ Stuffed Crust, tack on an extra side of marinara sauce. Pizza is always hot and freshly made. The marinara sauce is awesome and I always receive a quality pizza . The pizza itself isn't overly thick and isn't too thin where you're left with burnt, hard base. While I typically dump my crust, the stuffed crust here is deliciously ooey, fluffy, and satisfying is every way possible. 5/5 stars. Not only is the food great but so is the staff. Everyone is so efficient and so very friendly. This PG comes highly recommended.

First time here. I got coupons in the mail and said "why not?" The food did not disappoint, I would order from here again. My family and I enjoyed the food a lot. The staff were very friendly and engaging. They made sure I got exactly the amount of plates and condiments that i requested. Also, found out that if you order pizza and pick it up yourself you get a free beverage from the their fridge. I got Brisk Iced Tea as my option. I thought the place was very clean and pretty cool with an open concept. It got me thinking "nothing to hide here."

Ordered 7 pizzas for my son's birthday party. They let me use the coupons on all the pizzas and the delivery was on time. Great service and great pizza. Thank you pizza guys !

Pizza Guys is located in a small strip mall by Lee's Sandwiches, Taco Bell, Pho Tay Do, Arco Gas, etc. Pizza Guys Combo: Original Signature Crust, Creamy Pesto, Mozzarella Cheese, Italian Dry Salami, Pepperoni, Mushroom, Green Pepper, Yellow Onion, Black Olive, Ground Beef, & Italian Sausage. We've ordered pizza here a couple of times and each time, not only is the pizza a good tasting pizza loaded with toppings. What I really like about this location is the service! They are always so friendly and professional whenever you come into the store. They even called to check on my order because I mistakenly ordered twice (thought my phone's internet dropped) Though, I lost out on my discounted rate, it was ok since they were able to cancel one as opposed to other places. I definitely prefer doing business with them! Support your local businesses.

Sysco churro bites they are calling cinnamon twists...burnt

Update: It looked like maybe the establishment was going to try to fix things. They tried to call, and they messaged. But they wanted me to call back. Why? We don't need to talk. This is a very clear explanation of what happened, and you aren't going to talk me into a store credit. So you refund, or you don't. But I work in food. I'm not going to take time off work to call you, that is crazy. Not to mention, I tried to message you back on here and got radio silence. You either care to fix the problem or you don't. Apparently this location doesn't care to fix it. So I wasted $50 on what was the equivalent of no more than $17-24 in food cost (as someone who has ordered food from vendors for restaurants I'd be AMAZED if it was more), and you wanted me to just take store credit. But if I don't like the quality of your food... why would I want more? Oh well.... I suggest the rest of you do NOT waste your money. They won't care and you'll get stuff not nearly worth the cost! Hope you guys figure it out... or maybe find a better industry for you? I wish I could rate below a 1 star.... Original review: Got delivery and was excited because I've had it before at other locations and had great food and service. Signed up for the app and did it online for the points and stuff. First off, the driver got here, said he had been looking for the place but couldn't find it. That happens so im always ready to go outside, but when I went to find him, he was still in the truck... he hadn't "been looking" he had just gotten there and didn't want to be bothered. I walked him to my door. He gave me the stuff then asked me to sign the receipt... but had no pen? I've done delivery...how do you go withoit a pen? Then we get to the food... I ordered the cinnamon twists which looked great in the photo, but were ACTUALLY just Cisco cherry bites... the ones they sell everywhere that are NOT worth $9. The flatbread we ordered as also missing 2 toppings we ordered. The wingers we soggy and gross likey they had been cooked well before and reheated. Overall I didn't eat most of the food I called the store immediately to report the problems and request a refund. The person at the store wanted me to wait for a whole new flatbread and send out the same crappy churros. I told him I wanted a refund. Then he tried to make me take a credit. I informed him I wouldn't be using them again so I wanted the refund not a credit. He tells me no one is there who can give me a credit so he will have someone contact me the next day. I confirmed he had my info. It is now 2 days later. The day after the delivery I received a link to review the order but it was sent to me after it had expired. Second, I still have not been contacted about my refund. Stay away. These guys say they are Pizza Guys... but they certainly don't run it ANYWHERE near what the other stores do... save your money and go elsewhere... and buyer beware.... their food does NOT look like the pictures for SURE!

Lemon pepper wings

Pizza Guys just recently opened in Berryessa and the menu is quite extensive. Not only do they offer pizza, but also calzones, chicken wings, salads, pasta, cheesecake factory cheesecake and churros! With a large selection like this, even picky eaters will be able to order something they're craving. The online ordering system is pretty straightforward and easy to use. The system even shows the status of your order in real time. Our large pizza took about 25 minutes to be ready for pick up. Service was average. The cashier worker rolled his eyes and gave us a dirty look for not leaving a tip for a pick up order. I hate it when minimum wage workers feel entitled to a tip when they provide zero service. Lemon pepper chicken- juicy meat, but the skin isn't crispy. The fat of the chicken skin just ends up floppy and soft which isn't the most appealing texture. Don't order this if you want crispy chicken wings. Spicy Chipotle pepperoni pizza- The pizza dough is pretty average, nothing stands out about it. Its thin and holds up on its own. The crust is on the denser side without much flavor on its own. The chipotle sauce is pretty mild in terms of spice. I liked the diced pepperoni and the cup pepperoni giving off different textures but similar in taste. California garlic chicken - The red onions and chicken go well together. Again, the pizza dough is pretty average. The garlic flavor is quite apparent and this pizza is very aromatic. Pepperoni cheese rolls - I liked this dough better than the pizza version. I felt like this one was more gooey and fluffy in comparison. Paired with the garlic sauce, this was pretty decent. The quality is pretty average I would say. Nothing really stood out to me about the food. It's a notch higher than your typical pizza chains like Little Caesars, Dominos, etc.

Beef Taco Pizza + All Meat
Alisa B.

A little pricey, but never had a bad experience with Pizza Guys! One of my go-to spots for takeout pizza, especially for parties. Ordering process was very easy over the phone. I always get the All Meat Pizza, but I decided to be a little adventurous and get the Beef Taco Pizza this visit. Surprisingly not spicy, but very flavorful! They do not skimp on those toppings. Everything balanced well and it certainly tasted like Taco Bell had a pizza collab. The Cheezee Garlic Bread was also a hit among my friends! Very cheesy and the signature garlic sauce is CREAMY. Soooo good :)

Big Daddy Pizza (no pepperoni)

Felt cheated on the big daddy deal. I thought it came with pepperoni +1 topping based on the online image so I ordered it. I didn't realize the pepperonis weren't included so it's an overpriced cheese (and the onion I added in) pizza. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because I could have read into it more deeply to find out.

Large Pepperoni Pizza
Kevin H.

I want to start this review by saying the staff is very nice. I went at a busy time, but the front staff were very patient and nice to the other customers. This review is more about the pizza itself. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. The pizza itself was just ok, the crust and dough were very dense and not very flavorful. The crust particularly was a little hard. The pepperoni is pretty good for the "fast food pizza" tier, the cheese is fine. The sauce was the best part of the pizza, not too acidic and a little on the sweeter side. Reheating leftovers in an air fryer did not help it much. Unsure if I'll be back, since the price point for a pizza is in between dominos and other local pizzerias - but I don't prefer their pizza over either of these options. But if someone was to order or prefer it, I wouldn't be opposed.

Mitchell K.

Fast, friendly service and yummy fresh pizza pies! I got the Fireworks pizza... just the right amount of spice & very good Take-out only, no indoor seating here. Easy peasy access & lots of parking.

Pepperoni XL

Delicious and fresh pizza! I made my order over the phone and it was ready by the time I arrived. I ordered a XL pepperoni pizza and Large pepperoni, sausage and pineapple pizza. They were big portions and were very filling. The space is a small spot with a few seats available. It is better to take it to go. The service was nice, welcoming and efficient. The parking lot are is a little tight but there should not be an issue with finding parking.

Hawaiian Luau Stuffed Crust Pizza
Vu N.

The Pizza Guys restaurant just opened a few days ago and wow they are delicious! They are located at the corner of Berryessa and N. Capitol Ave, right by Taco Bell and Lee's Sandwiches. Lots of parking in the area so no need to worry about finding a spot. Service was quick. I called ahead for my order and it was ready to be picked up within 15 minutes. The workers were really nice. I highly recommend the Hawaiian Luau Stuffed Crust Pizza. Wow this was the best crust I've ever tasted in a pizza. Lots of cheese inside the crust as well. The combination was also delicious and full of toppings. They do not skimp out at all! If I had to pick one, it would be the Hawaiian Luau since the crust was that awesome. I recommend to use their website to leverage the coupons they have to save a few bucks compared to ordering over the phone. One thing I would suggest to improve is to add more salad options with romaine lettuce as iceberg lettuce doesn't have much nutrition for those looking to offset the meal cheat day with a big pizza haha. Overall this was is legit. I will definitely be back for more pizza in the near future.

Good quality ingredients. X-large pizza can be quite pricy, but with the quality you can splurge for.

We ordered two Pollo Saltimbocca dishes (one with a cream pasta substitution for an additional $8), the Pollo al Limone, and a half bottle of Chardonnay. The restaurant offers one indoor dining area and two outdoor seating areas--one in the front and one in the back--which gives guests plenty of seating options. The food was a bit saltier than our personal preference. The cream pasta substitution, despite the extra charge, wasn't anything particularly memorable compared to similar dishes we've had at other restaurants. However, the highlight of our visit was definitely the warm and welcoming customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel appreciated. We also appreciate that the restaurant closes for a few hours in the afternoon before reopening for dinner service. It's nice to see a business that gives its staff a break during the day. Parking can be a bit challenging due to the busy neighborhood. Be aware that street parking is paid, and most spots have a two-hour limit, so you'll need to keep an eye on the time. Overall, we'd come back to try more of the pasta dishes on the menu and hope to discover a new favorite.

I made a reservation for a Thursday evening, and even though it's right in the heart of downtown, we were lucky and managed to find street parking in front of the restaurant with free EV charging! Right when we stepped in, the interior is decked out in a modern art deco style. Vibrant & fun colors while still maintained a sosphiscated touch. After a few recommendations from our server, we decided to try: Mushroom Arancini (10/10): These are amazing, as soon as they brought it out, we can both instantly smelled the truffle oil. The exterior were crispy & pipping hot, the inside has creamy mushroom. It was certain my favorite of the night! Rigatoni alla Vodka (8/10): A solid pasta! The sauce was great and balanced. There was a good amount of sauce that coated in the pasta. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente! This is a staple dish but I felt like it might lack an interesting flair. Stuffed Branzino (8/10): Another solid dish! The whole were already debone which made it so much easier and fussed free. The skin on top was insanely crispy, the meat were juicy and overall tasted very healthy and fresh! It was a nice paired to the heavy pasta dish! They also gave us 2 cute canolis as a free birthday dessert which were super good! Overall, this is a beautiful spot for a date night and I'm glad I took my partner here! We started with the garlic bread for appetizers. It was well presented but I think it would've been well paired with some sort of dipping sauce because it was a little dry. My boyfriend ordered the thousand layer lasagna and really enjoyed it. I ordered the rigatoni and thought it was just okay. I didn't realize the dish didn't come with protein so it felt like the dish was missing something. The sauce itself was nice but for some reason, some of the pasta was undercooked and some of it was al dente. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate pudding and tiramisu. The presentation was so beautiful. Both my boyfriend and I loved the pudding most -- I would definitely order this again. The tiramisu wasn't bad but it would've been better if it had a stronger coffee taste and if it was a little more moist. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and definitely made our visit feel special. She paid attention to the small details like helping us label our boxes, which I've never had anyone do before. On a completely unrelated note, I was surprised to find the bathrooms are shared between both genders. While there are separate stalls, the sink area is shared, which I wasn't expecting for a nicer restaurant like this. But I would say overall the food was hit or miss but the service and experience overall was amazing:)

One thing that has been consistent every time I've visited is the service. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and attentive without hovering. They're usually nearby when you need something, which makes it a good spot for a work lunch or dinner where you don't want to spend half the meal trying to get someone's attention. It's definitely a little on the pricier side, but I've been happy with the food so far. I haven't had anything here that I thought was bad. On my previous visit, I had the spaghetti carbonara, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. This time I went with the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was a solid, comforting plate of pasta, and they finish it off with freshly grated Parmesan, with the amount based on your preference. I also tried the espresso martini this time. It was smooth and enjoyable, although I didn't get much of an alcohol kick from it. If you're looking for something stronger, this probably isn't the drink I'd go with. Portions are decent and the overall atmosphere works well for both business meals and something more casual. I could also see this being a nice option for a date night if you're looking for Italian food in the area. Overall, Palermo has been a reliable choice for me. It's not the cheapest Italian restaurant around, but the combination of good food, attentive service, convenient location, and easy parking makes it a place I'll continue coming back to when I'm in the area.

My favorites I order every single time are the tom yum bucatini, steak frites, and tostadas. As for other items I've tried: oysters are flavorful and thoughtfully put together. The crispy fingerling potatoes with seaweed mayo are criminally addicting. I think the chips and dip are made fresh in house so they have that great real potato texture and flavor. Pro tip: GET THE BREAD. Perhaps a secret menu item. An order comes with a few slices of perfectly toasted buttered bread. You'll want it to dip into the tom yum bucatini sauce. TBH it can be used for all the sauces... in the prawns is great. The chef is a master of sauce. And don't skip dessert! The creme brulee is my guilty pleasure at the end of the night, with a perfectly crisp, crackly sugar crust every time I've had it. The steak frites and a bottle of wine make for a perfect girls' night. There's a nice selection of wines at different price points, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. You can even taste their house wines before committing to a glass, which is a great as someone who doesn't know much about wine. The space works for different moods, too. Inside feels intimate and lively, with a fun buzz that adds to the atmosphere. Outside is lovely when you want open air while catching up with friends over food and wine. Disco ball nights inside are especially vibesy! One of my favorite things is the community here. Their Monday 6 PM run club brings together a welcoming crowd, and the post-run wine-glass offer is such a fun touch. It's a great way to meet people, and the friendly energy makes it easy to feel included even if you come solo. I've gone a couple times when time permits and everyone is sooooo friendly. All paces are welcomed and they have a few people appointed to help direct and make sure no one gets left behind. They also have options beyond wine, including a yuzu cocktail and nonalcoholic drinks like Hiyo. There's a few nearby downtown SJ lot with 90-minute free parking. TL;DR: Come for the food, stay for the wine, and leave loving this DTSJ hidden gem. Whether it's a girls' night, a necessary glass after work, or a Monday run-club meetup, Goodtime Bar is one of my favorite spots in SJ. Rightfully deserved my first Yelp food review.

Walking into Locanda Sorrento, you're transported to the coast of Italy. Their decor is lemons and…read morecostal vibes. The lighting is perfect and they have small lamps at the table for those who may need a little more light to see their menus. Service is great. Walking in, on the left, is a small table/counter where they check you in if you've made a reservation (or not). This is my second time here and I have to say, service is consistent. They're attentive and will check in a good amount of times without being invasive to your dinner. The first time I was here, my friend ordered the lasagna and absolutely loved it. I had the pasta with truffles and pesto and I loved it so much I ordered it again. I will order something by else next time! I was apparently influential and everyone at my table ordered the same lol My friends also ordered the pear and bursts salad and we shared the bruschetta both of which we really enjoyed. I was also very happy that they had Hugo Spritz (Aperol is not my thing)! It was a wonderful place to spend dinner with friends. Can't wait to come back and share with my family!

The ambiance of the inside looked as beautiful but not as the outside.... Food is decent but comparing it to the quality of a homey cozy comforting meal in North Beach SF... this doesn't hold a candle unfortunately; food was just OK nothing super revolutionary that you can get anywhere else. Service sounded soo wonderful but not to certain tables that were waiting outside. A waiter sings happy birthday beautifully to some tables but not attentive to ours, Infact without any server checking in our table while waiting for nearly 40 minutes for a steak & caccio e Pepe's, it's like they had to go farming for food on the table. After raising concerns to a waiter, one of them whispered into a chain reaction of others to give us an update... ultimately could've just apologized or just been an honest forgotten table? Who knows. You'll definitely be treated more nicely based on your attire and appearance, emphasis on that... in 2026 The star of the dinner was just the burrata plate. Not super stunning but the flavors were there. I ordered the steak which was a daily special, beautifully seasoned and charred to perfection, the steak cut fries with the weird green mint parsley concoction? Not so much. Not pictured was the Cacio e Pepe. Overly sauced like it was Alfredo. The cheese wheel part was fun but all gimmicks. Ultimately I'd love to give places another try because it's usually an off day sometimes but there was definitely just more attentive and care for other parties that just made me not want to come back.

I am writing this review in the glow of my extraordinary experience on a quiet Wednesday evening. I…read morecan't say enough about the food flavor and the wonderful staff that makes me want to return because of their kind personal touch. We called ahead around 845 to verify our 9pm reservation because we saw they closed at 9:30pm and we wanted to be respectful of their time. Bryan answered the phone and assured us we will have enough time to be seated and served before closing. He was very kind and welcoming so we headed over. We were greeted by Chris and seated immediately in the table that he let us choose. He made thoughtful suggestions on location being by the window, the booth where it was quieter or wherever we wanted because "this place is yours". This is not a typical thing I usually experience when being seated so this stood out to my wife and I. We appreciated this gesture. Once seated he took our drink orders, my wife wanted to try one of the wines before getting a glass so he brought a small sample. Once returning he asked if she wanted to select another or "take this one for a drive". The expression was simple and displayed the thoughtfulness that came from him the entire night. Simply taking time to craft words and be present is something that we noticed and appreciated. We ordered a carbonara and a pasta with prawn. The food came out fairly quickly since we arrived at a time past some of the peak hours. The bread with olive oil and balsamic came out first obviously. The carbonara and prawn pasta was so beautifully plated and presented that we forgot to take a picture for this review. We dug into the food immediately. At this time, maybe a coincidence, I checked my watch to be mindful of the time. At the same time, Kevin walked up to our table to let us know what we are good on time and that, "the back hasn't started the dishes or started cleaning up yet". There were still other parties around at that time. This was another detail that stood out to me. He might have seen me check my watch but to know what I was thinking at that moment and then respond to it is a first for me. This is beyond thoughtful. After a couple more wholesome interactions with Kevin and Chris, we ended up ordering a pannacota. This was the best I have ever had in my life. Kevin stayed for a while to chat while Chris was tending to other tables at the time. I can't say enough about the warmth in this place shown by Bryan, Chris and Kevin. I will definitely return and I want to bring my family there. The food was top tier but the people were what will bring me back.
