Ordered via app and picked up at the drive-thru. The window gal was very friendly and accommodating with my request of extra napkins and utensils. Their new sandwiches (I had the pick 2) the half bacon avo melt was really melted and juicy! The bread was soft and yet still chewy with the right amount of "pizazz" that made it look and feel edible. I am not as impressed with their broccoli soup anymore though. Seems it's gotten chunky in the sauce. Like it's been sitting too long. Because that's why I prefer going there, is why I knocked it down. This was about 11:30 am, so no reason it should have been that way. I will be back for the sandwiches though!! read more

Cold soup, maybe 1/2 cup of cold soup inside the bread bowl. Not remotely enough to fill up. Out of coffee, out of tea and not during rush hour. Would've gotten more for my money with a can of Campbell's soup and a stale piece of bread than what I paid for here. read more

Recently went through in Salina Kansas and ordered a sandwich, chips and a sweet tea. When i got to my office to have my lunch i had the sandwich. Instead of chips they put in bread and the tea was unsweetened. Called and talked to the manager and she was pleasant but i was not going to drive back across town to get a bag of chips and a new tea. This place was nice when it opened. The staff constantly screwed up but food was good even if pricey. The menu has been dramatically cut to a quarter of what it was and the staff is still rude and basically tells you to screw off. read more

Driving from Colorado to Missouri, we made a stop here for breakfast. We placed an order for two steel cut oat bowls with strawberries and pecans. We waited quite awhile and when we finally got our food they were missing the pecans. I went up to ask for the pecans and was told, "they didn't have very many"??? I responded that I would like some since we paid for them. She rudely took the bowls and said that, "they just weren't on the right station"??? No apology at all. Terrible lettuce on their sandwiches. I Ordered a turkey with white cheddar and lettuce sandwich at the Salina Ks Panera Bread restaurant today April 23rd 2022. So I was about to take my first bite and decided to look closer at sandwich and took top piece of bread off and good thing i did because about half of the lettuce was already getting slimy and rotting...unbelievable. I returned it and they apologized and made me another one....but i looked at that one too and like 10% of the lettuce had signs of turning slimy and brownish....i ended up just removing all the lettuce and just ate sandwich with only the turkey and cheese. Love the Panera menu and never have a problem when dining in. Take out, however, is a completely different animal. I have ordered takeout 4 times since the Salina location opened and have been incredibly disappointed each and every time. For one thing, if you choose bread as the side, it's thrown in the bag without being placed in a protective sack. So it's handled by Panera staff and anyone else who takes the order out of the bag to be shared with others who may have ordered. Last time, the grilled cheese I ordered was sent out burned on the outside with cold cheese inside. Tonight I ordered the quinoa bowl and have attached a photo of the pathetic serving . It was barely half full, and was soupy, tasteless, and for $10 was a poor value. I was still hungry after finishing it. I will never order a bowl at Panera again. read more

Love Panera normally. This location was dirty in the restaurant. The women's bathroom was filthy and a tight fit for someone with a wheel chair. The handicap bathroom stall was gross with a dirty toilet. The water pressure wasn't enough to flush the previous users toilet paper. Trash hole was over flowing and the counter top was slipping wet. Ordered the Fuji Apple chicken salad and it didn't have any of the dried apple pieces. It an expensive and disappointing lunch. read more

No menu board, no paper menus, and no self service kiosks working. So if you don't know what they have how can you order?! Second, when you do figure out what to order by asking the clerk they don't actually have what you want. They did not have sweet tea or broccoli cheese soup on this trip. This is the slowest Panera I've ever been to, and my order is wrong nearly every time. The restaurant has been this way since opening in Salina. New MGMT needed?! They are the only restaurant in town that can't keep the right amount of food to support their menu. I always love going Panera bread and love going to get the bagels. We never had any complaints about them love the service. But this morning they ask if we want the bagels cut and I always said yes. I have long felt that Salinans are especially thrifty when it comes to dining out. That explains a lot of the complaints I hear about the Salina Panera. It's just too expensive for what you get. I ordered Panera through door dash. After close to an hour of not receiving my order, and mixed messages from door dash, I reached out to Panera myself. The sweet girl on the phone explained the online orders weren't working properly and that she would look into my order and put a rush on it. I got my ordered minutes later. When I got my food I noticed some of my order was missing. I called up again just to see if I could get refunded for the items missing( bless the drivers heart I didn't want to make him come back out with Everything going on) The general manager answered and said couldn't refund but could give something like a store credit. I thanked her for the kind gesture but assured her it was not that big of a deal and that I understood and their empathy was enough for me. 10 minutes goes by and I get a phone call from a Panera worker telling me she was outside with the missing items and a few extra goodies. I love Panera's bagels and chicken salad sandwiches! Why there are so many poor reviews of Salina's Panera is a mystery to me, although there was that one time I drove across town extra early one morning so that I could get an iced tea and... there was no ice tea. They told me they were out of tea bags. What restaurant runs out of black tea??? Had to find the manager to issue me a refund and didn't look the least bit sorry for my inconvenience. Food was decent and establishment was clean. However, there are no prices on the menu which feels awkward when it comes time to pay. It feels like they are assuming you will just pay whatever when you get to the register.
