I think this is the only Indian restaurant in MHK as of now. The establishment has a very open layout and is nicely decorated. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the food was AMAZING!! Food was amazing! The reviews were all soo good so we wanted to try, and there were no regrets. Everything tasted pretty authentic, filling, and so much flavor. Do get the Naan, especially the Garlic Naan, maybe even 2 orders because it's so good. I got the Vindaloo Curry and it tasted the same as all the other really good Indian restaurants I've been too. My brother got the Saag curry, which I never had before and it was also a really good choice! I would probably get it next time I go. My fiance got thr Tikka Masala and wow it was very good, had a deep buttery flavor, filling your mouth with so much umami. For protein, I would suggest getting the lamb. Chicken was kind of dry. We used to enjoy the food from this place, but it's taken a distinct downturn the last few times we've ordered carry-out. I had a saag paneer last night that had almost no spinach in it. The andhra curry had noticeably less meat in it than they used to do. Three entrees plus and order of naan cost 66 bucks. Not a bad place to dine. The Chicken Kadai was quite good with a nice creamy texture and good spice level. We also had chicken fried rice, which was also very tasty and good quality. In addition, the ambiance is pretty good. However, the chili chicken appetizer was bland and could be improved and, overall, the price of the food is a little high. read more

My wife and I went here impulsively and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we will be back. The staff were all very nice and helpful! The dishes themselves were amazing! There is Not too many choices on the menu to feel overwhelmed but a comfortable amount of variety with helpful explanations to guide your choice. Eric R. went to the grand opening today as we have missed an Indian restaurant in our city. It actually is in the same location as the Indian restaurant that used to be here three restaurants or so ago. He ordered the meat thalis but for us, but ended up with one veggie one so we got to try a lot of dishes plus basmati rice, naan, and gulab jamun. We enjoyed tandoori chicken and two other chicken dishes plus two veggie dishes. I am not sure what we had exactly but I could look it up and figure it out - one veggie dish had kidney beans and lentils, and the other had broccoli and carrots. Everything was very tasty and packaged well. Eric R. also got two free mango lassis for the grand opening with the order, and we enjoyed those a lot. Today I visited, they were super nice and the food came out quick. We ordered 2 butter chicken dishes that came with rice, garlic and butter naan bread. 4 slices came with each. I personally preferred the garlic naan. We also ordered two mango lassi To go, they were delicious, we were so full by the end. The bill came to $67 and some change, it was pricey to me but gladly paid since we don't have any other Indian restaurants in town and I understand things aren't cheap these days. New to Manhattan and missing Indian food - foolishly assumed that picture of menu in website was up to date so went at lunch expecting the 2 choice thali - Of course no longer an option so I went with the $13 malai kofta and $2.50 naan - I get it ...Indian food is never a bargain meal but I had 3 small kofta balls and dry naan, and rice. Will I be back? Not as often as I'd like - $15 for lunch isn't worth it - but I can't resist those delicious flavors read more

Really hope Manhattan will support this restaurant. It seems hard for an Indian restaurant to stick around for any length of time. If you are familiar with their topeka location, the food is much the same. It's very good! Compared to my favorite Indian places, the sauces are a tad on the thinner side but still very flavorful. Meat was tender and the paneer was great. Only reason i did not give it full 5 stars is portions for take out were not great. The pint containers that most places use were only 3/4 full and the rice containers maybe 2/3s full. And for the prices I would have been more impressed with fuller portions. Glad they are here though and will definitely patronize them often. read more

Hands down one of the best Indian places I've been to and I can't wait to come back here. I ordered lamb vindaloo and husband ordered chicken Andhra curry, we got Pakora for appetizer, Roti naan, husband also got a mango lassi to go. Everything was absolutely delicious. Pakora came with this fresh and light mint yogurt dipping sauce that was to die for. In fact I would like to be buried in a tub of it when I die. We emptied every single plate and I would've licked the plate clean if I wasn't in public. Husband took a breather in the middle of his dish and said it was basically an euphoric experience. We got medium and spicy for spice level and we're both sooooo sooo happy with our food. The mango lassi was tasty too, and none of that "synthetic mango flavor" bullshit. We really like the food here and will definitely be back, but will prefer dining in than taking out. I was disappointed in the portions from the take out. We ordered the Malai Kofta which was so good, but they only gave us 3 of the vegetable balls which were tiny. For $16.99 I think this is a bit of a rip off. We also ordered the Chicken Tikka which is always delicious but again the portions are so small for take out. Would definitely recommend, but next time we'll eat in instead of taking out since I think you don't quite get what you pay for when you take out. read more

We ordered yesterday shortly after they opened for lunch and got it to go. The service was lackluster. There was no ambiance because half of the lights were not even on and it was dark inside. The portion size of the food for the price does not equate. The containers of rice and butter chicken were in 12oz plastic containers. I was asked the level of spice and I said medium, it had no spice whatsoever and the rice had no flavor and seemed reheated. The garlic naan had a fishy taste to it and wasn't even garlicky. Overall to spend 25$ for food to not even finish it and throw it away was very disappointing and I will no longer spend my money there. They use to be good and very flavorful. Now they just raised the price and lack food quality that they use to have. Do not recommend.. save your money and go elsewhere. read more
