Consistently average, that's my over all take of this location. I do have some favorites that draw me back. For example, I like the Pick Two option. Typically, I get soup for one choice, my favorites being broccoli cheddar or chicken wild rice, depending on the day. The second is often the Sierra Turkey on a cibatta roll with spicy mayo. I have tried other options, but this is my main thing. Over the years I have marked changes in the recipes, not always for the better (I never order clam chowder anymore), but I like the bagels, even if they are pricy. I love coming here during my break from work. It`s so peaceful and quiet and it`s nice to come to a place and relax after/before going back to work. I really like the You Pick 2 deal. You can choose from a half sandwich, a cup of soup, and/or a salad. The last time I came to a Panera Bread, I went to the Day Street location and ordered the Creamy Tomato soup and the Asian Sesame Salad (which cost $2 more). I ordered that again at this location, but with extra croutons in the soup because those croutons are so good. When you mix it in the soup, it absorbs the soup and gets nice and soft, and the croutons already have a lot of flavor by itself, so together with the soup... so good. The Creamy Tomato soup is really good too. It`s not watery like those condensed can soups that you buy at the store. It`s creamy, a little thick, texturally pleasing, and absolutely delicious. With the croutons, BOOM.. amazing. The salads are okay. I haven`t tried all of them, but it`s a salad. It can`t be that hard to put one together. The dressing for the Asian Sesame salad is good. Strong flavor so they don`t use much which is good. I don`t think anyone would want their salad drenched in dressing. They`re having a special where if you buy lunch/dinner with a drink, you can get a bakery item for 99 cents. So I get their Toffee Nut Cookie. Yum.. big, soft cookie with toffee and nuts baked in. They left the bacon on my sandwich after I told them to take it off. They also no longer had my favorite salad, the salad I got instead is pretty good. It's a strawberry and chicken salad. I got an apple on the side. The cashier wouldn't look me in the eye which was weird and it was hard to tell if she was talking to me at first because she kept looking behind me. What happened to this place? I used to be able to get a decent sandwich and buy great loaves of bread...but no longer. My husband and I went there and had to wait so long for the food that I considered canceling the order. I bought a loaf of sliced bread that was dumped into the sack--thereby, smashing the slices. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! I am so shocked and very disappointed at the quality of food and service I received today. Here's why: Today during lunch hour I went to this Panera location with my mom. We were both hungry and excited to finally sit down inside a restaurant to eat (which we hadn't done in a while for obvious reasons). ***For starters, we don't eat at Panera in general that often because it has a reputation for being overpriced (and today's experience only exacerbated this claim). SO. We order 2 sandwiches and a side of Mac n cheese. The total comes to ~$34. A bit crazy but whatever. We wait for the buzzer..I bring the food to the table and was immediately turned off because my side order couldn't have even made a child satisfied. The cheese looked pasty, the (small) bowl wasn't filled and my (whole) sandwich was about the side of my hand. The primary issue began here: when we realized the quantity of our food did not add up to the price. No one forced us to select this place, HOWEVER, $34 worth of food should not look like a TV dinner. W/o touching anything we bring the trays up to the front (as a refund for the order seemed the only fixable solution). The manager (Devon) comes by and we explain to her our dissatisfaction. But instead of pulling us to the side or being pleasantly discreet about the issue, the manager attempts to fix our problem by issuing the refund we requested while loudly making comments like, "Too bad this food will be wasted," and "I'm sorry you weren't satisfied," pretty sarcastically. This is where issue #2 began: Devon (the manager) is speaking so loudly that anyone behind us can hear. Now, explaining to the manager our dissatisfaction is no secret matter, but it is not a discussion that warrants the attention of everyone. The conversation should have been done so privately and without the eyes and ears of other customers. On top of that, her tone was entirely condescending and rude. I felt embarrassed in front of the people standing by. She made the impression that WE should feel sorry about our OWN experience, not the other way around. We get the refund and bounce, except while sitting in the car something didn't feel right with me. So we go back to speak to her again and explain how she made us feel. My mom explained to her that she was speaking loudly and that her tone was not right. Devon responded by saying, "I just talk loud," and shrugged her shoulders. We then explained to her that her comment about wasted food was inappropriate because it implies that we are wasteful or that we should feel sorry that the food had to be thrown away. Well here's the thing: It doesn't matter how much food you order anywhere, as a customer you should never feel as though you MUST accept food that is not up to par. Devon shouldn't have made us feel victimized for not wanting the food. During this encounter her tone was STILL rude and sarcastic, she made entitled comments that also implied we should have been grateful to have got the refund. This tells me she's missing the entire point. The issue was no longer about the food, or requesting a refund, but about her service as a MANAGER. She gets paid to support customers. She did not support us. Instead she belittled our subpar experience by trying to make us feel bad - like WE did something wrong. She gave us her name and the number to corporate (after we asked) whom we plan to contact shortly. To have properly made sure we would come back in the future, Devon should have pulled us aside, listened politely to our issue, administered the refund (w/o sarcasm!) and said "thank you, we hope you come again." Instead, Devon made it clear that the way the food was presented to us, was more our fault than it was of the person who prepared it. We would have never had an issue in the first place had our food lived up the price point. But, unfortunately we left feeling entirely misunderstood and ultimately humiliated for the confrontation. read more

Panera has great food at a pretty pricey retail so with that aspect you would think the customer service would be good, cleanliness and decent time for service. WRONG! It is a Thursday evening, after dinner rush and the restaurant had minimal staff, not friendly, the floors and tables were disgusting not to mention the beverage bar was empty and a mess! Place a togo order on the app for rapid pickup 1. First rapid order wasn't ready in the expected time that the app told me ( only about 5 -mins longer so it wasn't that big if a deal. 2.The forgot all the pickles that go with the sandwiches 3. They forgot my cookie, luckily I noticed before I got into my car 4. Got home and Went to eat and one of our sandwiches was completely wrong. We customized it on the app to add extra things. Whoever made the sandwich only put the customized things on and none of the original ingredients. I placed an online order this morning at 5:45am for bagels, cream cheese, coffee cake and 4 drinks. The estimated pickup time was 6:15am. I arrived at 6:17am and waited for my order. At 6:20 an employee let me know they didn't have 3 of the bagels that I ordered. Finally around 6:25 they let me know that my order was ready. They handed me bagels and drinks. No coffee cake, no cream cheese. I had to ask for the remainder of my order and wait again for my items. Finally I received my almost frozen coffee cake and cream cheese. I Would like to give credit where credit is due. I called Panera today to see if they had any soup bowls left bc my wife was feeling absolutely horrible and it was literally the only thing she wanted. I had a really nice conversation with John and he was so friendly and helpful over the phone and his customer service was absolutely outstanding. Instead of placing me on hold while someone checked on the bread Bowles he took the time to ask how my day was and told me all about his. He told me he would take care of me when I got to there and he did just that. I wish everyone had the personality and professionalism as John expressed today. This Panera used to be a really good spot. In the last two years it has gone down, I have ended up waiting beyond the allotted time for pick up, items are always sold out, and to find out that Baker's may be only make five of a certain item even though they know they sell out every morning. A couple of times I placed an order through the Phone app only to arrive and they didn't have the item because they had sold out around 5 o'clock in the morning, and this was 8 o'clock in the morning - when most people eat breakfast. I had to be refunded since they didn't have the item, this has happened twice. So disappointing! read more

Quick review of the Salads, so far I've tried a couple of Salads at Panera. Of the salads the Southwest Chili Lime was the best followed by the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad. The other two I tried Chinese Citrus Cashew & The Spicy Thai Salad were just alright. I would say Panera Salads are probably better than you're traditional fast food salads (Like Wendy's), but not as good as Tender Greens Salads. read more

Nope nope nope. Every single time I go here I ended up waiting super long time for food that should not take that long or they simple forget something in my order. About 5 days ago I went in ordered 2 bagels and 2 cream cheeses to go. Took a good 15 minutes but then I grabbed my stuff and when I got to work I noticed they didn't even give me both cream cheeses! Accidents happen but I did pay for it so not cool. Then yesterday morning I go in at 930a it's a little steady but I'm just there for a bagel before I head in to work. I get up to order and thinking she is just going to turn around and grab my bagel for me and give it to me. But instead she makes me wait off to the side with other people who ordered full on meals. I waited 30 mins for my damn bagel! And the kicker they didn't even toast my bagel. As a result, I was late to work because the cashier was too lazy to turn around and get my bagel for me. I could understand if there was a huge line behind me. There were only 1 to 2 people behind me. She could have taken the minute or 2 it takes to get my bagel for me. The lady before me got her dozen bagels from the cashier and helped the line. I didn't understand. I've given Panera too many chances. Wait is too long and food is not even worth it. I've been different Panera location where the cashier grabs my bagel for me instead of sending it back to the kitchen area. So I just don't understand this location. read more

Where do I start..... I have had a pretty love hate relationship with Panera though out the years. Love because it was Always was my #1 "go-to" choice - the staff was super friendly and the food was very quick. Your service was reliable and was different from other places which was appreciated! I used to come here a few times a week up until recently. This is where the hate part comes in. Things have changed here so much. What used to be the place to go, has suddenly turned into a last resort for obvious reasons. Main Staff doesn't seem to really give a hell about orders and neither do the leaders. Not to mention, the place is dirty and the service now honestly sucks. I wish I could say that I was lying when I admit that the last FOUR consecutive times I have been here, especially today, I've had a problem with my order. Missing items, wrong food brought out, completely different things from what I had ordered. When brought up, I've received attitudes multiple times. I honestly DO understand things happen but not over and over again. I kept coming back because I didn't think it was too big of a deal but I'm kinda over it knowing there are other really nice places out there. Riverside Plaza Panera here's some advice - Get the majority of the orders right, be nicer to your customers and please PLEASE when someone pays almost $4 extra just for add ons to their meals, make sure to include them! Looks like another eatery has succumbed to cutting corners with food quality. I ordered a full size Cobb salad and customized it. The salad ingredients were terrible. Lettuce that looked soggy and old. Overstuffed my salad with spinach (an add on I made), the hardboiled eggs tasted like they were stale, the dressing was literally watered down, the pickled onions were so cold like they had just been defrosted (blech). The only decent thing to eat was the apple. I can say, however, the customer service was great. I had used the app to order, the customization was correct and the people working there were helpful. I placed an order for curbside pickup here. I got there on time, and notified the store that I was there on their site and it still took them an extra 15 minutes to bring my order out. I wasn't as frustrated at that part because I understand it can get really busy inside and I don't know what their mobile order volume was that night. However, I had ordered a salad without chicken and dressing on the side, but when I got home I saw that there was chicken in it. I usually just remove the meat if this happens but it was a little difficult since there were also some really tiny pieces in there. My experience here has been the worst mainly because I had to check "Becky" (Devin the GM at the Panera Bread restaurant in the Riverside Plaza) it was so insane especially coming off of lockdown and feeling good about finally eating IN a restaurant. I thought the $30+price for one whole sandwich, one-half sandwich, and mac n cheese, a side of mac n cheese and chips, and an iced coffee was a bit much but I didn't complain until I got my food. When we got the food we noticed how skimpy the portions were. We didn't eat it and decided to get my money back (I felt like, I could better use the money at the grocery store!) Becky (Devin) was called over to process the refund. Instead of offering an apology, or maybe a "How can I make this experience better for you next time?" Devon loudly comments about the food being wasted but that she was sorry the food would be thrown away. Now, mind you it's 12:30 (lunch rush). We were embarrassed and humiliated. We left but returned minutes later because her actions DID NOT sit right with me. I proceed to let her know that the experience was humiliating and that my business did not need to be broadcast across the entire restaurant. I let her know she was loud. Her response to me was...and I quote, "I am a loud person, that's just who I am." Well, damn! A lot of people are a lot of things but at your place of employment, you're the General Manager AND with a customer. especially, a customer who had a not-so-good experience and she added fuel to that! Devon showed no empathy at all as if she did me a favor by giving me back my money. So, my next call is to the corporate office from the phone number she handed me on a sticky note (no business card) and she made a point to let me know she was the GM. They really can't get your order right. This morning, I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich and got no bacon. Last time I went, I ordered a chocolate chip bagel and was given a cinnamon bagel. The time before that, I ordered a warm baja bowl and it was missing avocado. Regularly I checkmark no utensils or say no utensils but have utensils provided to me. When I was in there today I heard a member of the staff saying they were "going to show *other location* who the best staff is" - I'm unsure about which location you mentioned ma'am, but they almost certainly have a better staff than this location.
