I found out today that Panera Bread at the Riverside Plaza allows its employees to park in the very limited spaces in the small lot in front of the store. That's why there is virtually no convenient parking for customers! In all the jobs I've held over the years, the closest parking was reserved for customers, and employees were instructed to park away from there. I went inside and spoke to the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager at the same time (I don't know why they felt just one of those top managers couldn't handle this). The General Manager in particular was cocky, arrogant, and tried to deflect the conversation with irrelevant talking points. Rather than discuss the issue with me, she told me I should call corporate and that she would get me the phone number. I told her I could Google the phone number faster than she could go get it. Then she asked if there was anything else she could do for me. I told her NO. I'm going somewhere else to eat. She had no customer service or people skills, so I don't know how she came to be the General Manager. This also explains where some of the staff there learned how to treat customers. I don't value businesses that don't value customers. There are plenty of other options right there in the Riverside Plaza and surrounding areas--and options with larger portions and better prices. I encourage you not to patronize this location, but if you do, I think you should consider what I have done in the past. If the lot is full, keep driving to somewhere else that values your business. So it appears to me that no one is making sure that those packing the delivery orders are doing it correctly. I received my drinks and the mini scones but everything else was incorrect. I sent this info to customer care and received $47 worth of rewards when I would have preferred my money back in my account. This is the first time I've ever had an order this wrong before-- one item missing is one thing but when the whole order is messed up? The receipt on the bag was correct but the whole order was like it was someone's else's. Very disappointed, I can't eat red meat so the sandwiches that I did receive, ended up giving away to family at the end of the day. It has been ages since I've been to a Panera Bread! I stepped into this Panera while at the Riverside Shopping, Plaza, (which, side note, was a very pleasant surprise in and of itself) The first thing that I noticed was a cute patio seating area outside, and upon walking in, I was greeted with a bakery case, full of very aesthetic baked goods, and a wall full of baguettes and bagels. The staff was super friendly, and answered all the questions I had about the menu (which was admittedly, a little confusing, because there is a lot to take in with their options) I decided on the soup and salad combo, which came out to about $16 and opted to dine in. They hand you a little beeper to let you know when your order is ready, and once it is, your order can be picked up at their counter. The food was good, salad and soup were both very tasty. However, I will admit that for the price point a tad bit on the pricey side. During my meal, an employee came over to remove my empty plates and asked how everything was, which I thought was a nice touch on customer service.
