When I explained what I had been told on the phone just prior, they still refused to honor it. Mind you, the restaurant was pretty empty at the time, yet they chose to turn away a group of 15 over misinforming us on their own policy. It was a total waste of our time, and because of this dishonest and unhelpful service, we will never be returning.

CONTINUED... However, after listening to what I had to say, the MANAGER MELINDA said to me that since she wasn't there the day before, she was going to pass the phone to the assistant manager Lilah, who took care of my order. She said, you can explain to her what's missing, ok... I thought WOW! Seriously I have to explain this again. Why can't the manager investigate this matter and take precise steps to amend my grivance... Is she not the manager? Does she not have the small power needed to fix this simple issue? Or does she simply not consider this important/worth her time so she delegates her authority to the ASSISTANT manager...? I patiently retold the issues to the assistant manager Lailah, who immediately tried to claim that she did give me the crunched bagels. She claimed she asked me if I wanted them warmed and I said no just sliced. I said firmly to her, look madame, I DO NOT NEED TO ENGAGE ON THE PHONE FOR OVER AN HOUR JUST TO LIE ABOUT 2 BAGELS. IN FACT I DIN'T NEED TO WASTE MY TIME AT ALL IN ORDER TO LIE. THE FACT THAT THERE WERE NO BAGELS, SLICED, WARMED OR OTHERWISE IN MY BAG IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE EASILY VERYFIED BY QUESTIONING ALL THE STAFF THAT WAS THERE AT CLOSING TIME, AT LEAST 1 HONEST PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO CONFIRM THAT 2 BAGELS THAT WERE BEING WARMED UP REMAINED THERE. YOU SHOULD ALSO BE ABLE TO CHECK YOUR SECURITY CAMERAS, THE 2 BAGELS WERE LAST SEEN BY ME IN YOUR HAND AS I WAS BEING GIVEN THE LARGE BAG, CUPS AND DRINK CARRIER AS I HEADED TO POUR MY DRINKS. NEITHER YOU NOR ANY OF YOUR EMPLOYEES WERE ANYWHERE NEAR MY BAG AFTER THAT. She didn't insist that she gave me the bagels after that! However, she did maintain a defensive attitude which I didn't find helpful at all. I told her we just want the 2 bagels replaced on our next visit and since she had failed to apply my roomates birthday free pastry promo, we would chose another pastry then. She persisted that she did apply both promos. I told her the birthday promo was still in my roomate's account and the promo discount doesn't appear anywhere on the receipt. I provided her with the receipt number so she could verify for herself. I frankly was getting BORED with her DEFENSIVE attitude. Did she handle my order? YES. Did she mesed it up? YES. The least bit of human decency she could show would be to apologize for her mistakes & try to do everything within her emplpyee power to make amends, but NO! This woman never alologized to me at all, instead she constantly attemted to negate my statements to cover up for her failures .... what a BORE! Regarding the PIZZA in my order, she stated that SOMEONE should've told me that they had NO BASIL to make the Margharita pizza. She stated they haven't been receiving BASIL from the Panera warehouse for about 3 wks. so SOMEONE should've defenitely told me that they didn't have it available but I had the option to substitute the basil for cilantro or chose another pizza topping or another menu item... I asked her WHO EXACTLY WAS SUPPOSED TO TELL ME ANY OF THAT WHEN IT WAS YOU WHO WAS TAKING MY ORDER & IT WAS YOU WHO'S OBVIOUSLY AWARE OF THE UNAVAILABILITY OF THE INGREDIENTS & THE AVAILABLE SUBSTITUTIONS...? The assistant manager Lilah is seriously mad. Becoming more ridiculous by the minute. I'm a patient person but it was wearing thin. Her only reply to me was, you should've been told! My reply to her was, Well, I wasn't told! Regarding my tiny salad not being a WHOLE SALAD she claimed to have asked me if I wanted a half or a whole. I claim that she didn't & that it was a WHOLE FUJI APPLE SALAD what was on my original order and that's what I was expecting. She admitted she didn't read the note regarding my previous order that had been canceled so she wasn't aware what size of salad I had ordered before.... IT WAS A WHOLE SALAD, I stated! At this point she stated that since there were so many things WRONG with my order(which she messed up and was too much of a weak coward to admit and apologize for) I would need to speak to customer service.... GREAT! I HAVE TO RE-TELL MY GRIEVANCE TO YET ANOTHER PANERA EMOLYEE, PLUS, I GET TO WASTE MORE OF MY TIME! ALL BECAUSE THE INEPT MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION CANNOT GO AN INCH OUT OF THEIR WAY TO CATER TO CUSTOMERS, PROVIDE ACCURATE ORDERS NOR DO THEY HAVE THE INITIATIVE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY AMNENDS TO CORRECT AN INACCURATE ORDER.... YEAHY, IT MUST BE MY LUCKY DAY TO NOT GET PAID TO DEAL WITH THEIR LAMENESS! CONTINUED: CUSTOMER'S TIME, along with their satisfaction on the accuracy of their orders, that, she shows no concern for at all. I told her that I would definetly be escalating this matter to custmer service & lastly I reminded her that customer's time is just as precious as hers & when we make a choice to stop in and support their business before we go home, we expect them to take the time necessary to get our orders accurately so that WE CAN ALL GO HOME HAPPILY! Lilah gave me the customer service number, so I called it & was on hold for about 10min before someone named Jesse answered. I proceeded to recount my grievence yet again. The call stated that it had been in progress for 23min(including my time on hold, which mathematically means that I had been speaking to JESSE for just over 10min) at which point JESSE interjected to state that calls are limited to 10min and this call had passed the 10min mark... WAY TO PTIORITIZE IMPORTANCE PANERA. THE LENGTH OF A CUSTOMER'S CALL IS MORE IMPOTANT THAT WHATEVER THEY ACTUALLY HAVE TO SAY ...He said he already had plenty of notes as well as the call being recorded to forward this grievance to a Panera emoloyee who oversees this district & doesn't actually work at any particular store location but oversees all the shopes in the district. He said he would issue a $30 customer service credit into my account, but he understood that I really wanted this matter looked into & not just a credit. I told him that that was absolutely accurate. I also remainded him that the issues were not only regarding my order but my roomate's order with her missing bagels and the assistant manager not applying her birthday promo code. I provided him her account info as well as the receipt numbers for both orders.... Again he was hurruying stating that the calls are timed & he's only supposed to take 10mins per customer per call & this call has been longer than 10mins. AT WHICH POINT I THOUGHT, THIS CALL IS PRESENTING 2 GRIEVENCES ON 2 SEPARATE ORDERS ON 2 SEPARATE ACCOUNTS, SO THIS CALL SHOULD BE ENTITLED TO DOUBLE THE ALOTTED TIME FOR 1 CUSTOMER COMPLAINT, WHICH WOULD BE 20MINS. FURTHERMORE, NEITHER DURING THE TIME WE ARE ON HOLD NOR WHEN SOMEONE ANSWERS, ARE CUSTOMERS EVER PRE TOLD THAT THEIR CALLS WITH PANERA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE LIMITED TO 10MN... so how are customers supossed to know this at any point other than at the end when such a thing it's sprung on us... BOMBASTIC! Once this JESSE employee accessed my roomate's account & pulled up her receipt, he said ok, I'll note for them to look at this order too & I'll issue a $15 credit on this account. Someone should definetely be getting back to you, likely by email. I'm just middle mamagement here so I don't have answers to your questions & concerns because I'm not at the stores(questions such as, is there really no basil for panera stores... why?), But the person who does supersees the stores in this district will be getting back to you. I said, very well, I look forward to being contacted by someome that can take the simple steps necessary to rectify these issues. I thought, I really don't understand why I've had to speak to 3 panera employees when the MANAGER at this location should've been able to correct this & of course it likely would've all been avoided if I'd been welcomed to pick up my paid order just 20min past closing.... I mean it's not like there's not employees still there cleaning & stuff. How hard was it really to simply hand off a prepaid order? WHATEVER To sum up, I confirmed with JESSE thay he would be issuing a $30 credit to my account and $15 to my roomates account, and I asked if those credits had to be used all at once? He now stated that he would be isssuing $15 credit to each account, a $30 credit total that yes, would have to be used all at once. BOY! THIS WAS RIDICULOUS ON TOP OF RIDICULOUS. HIS IDEA OF MAKING THINGS RIGHT WHEN HE HEARD THERE WERE 2 SEPARATE ORDERS FOR 2 SEPARATE PEOPLE WITH 2 SEPARATE ACCOUNTS WAS TO TAKE HALF THE CREDIT HE HAD ISSUED TO MY ACCOUNT & ISSUE WHAT HE WAS TAKING FROM ME TO MY ROOMATE'S ACCOUNT... WTF? WHY DOES MAKING THINGS RIGHT ON MY ROOMATES ACCOUNT HAVE TO INVOLVE A PANERA MIDDLE MANAGENT EMPLOYEE TAKING FROM MY ACCOUNT? I've often enjoyed visiting other links in the Panera Bread chain, but this one for me is one and done. When next I visit Panera, it'll be at a different location. Here's why: - Overall service level was terrible - They somehow managed to run out of absolutely everything; which makes zero sense Tip: Even at this poorly managed location, the salads and soups are all very good :-) Were it not for the service and poor management (which I blame for them running out of everything) the rating here would have been MJCH higher - I've always found Panera's food very enjoyable read more

Busy on this Sunday !! 10/11/2026…read more All staff are bustling around hosting, as well as serving and bussing table !!! Everyone seems to be synchronized in overlapping roles ! Everyone helped picking up used plates , flatwares as well as empty cups clearing table even it's not theirs!!! Have to have a menudo on this rainy Sunday!!! It didn't disappoint! Flavorful tender tripes and pata meat in a generous serving of a small bowl!! Had a side order of a Chile Relleno and it was deliciously cheesy the way I love it ... though found little cheese filling which might have melted already !!! My new fav today !! Ambrosio gave a stellar service with a very jolly personality ascwell as making sure if we needed anything aside from refreshing hubby's coffee! Nice that my hot chocolate had one refill!! So Im so elated by it !!!

We ordered to go, and also ate at th e restaurant. Pleased at all times. Their breakfasts were outstanding. We enjoyed the Mexican food very much. I have to say one of the very best meals was the pot roast! Excellent!! Vegetables were very good and choice of potatoes. Were yummy. We had a choice of bread. The corn bread was really good. They packed it very well, and the amount. Of food was enough for two meals! Very pleased with Sammy's and will continue to eat at Sammy's. We are anxious to try their buffet on the weekends. We go to the buffet in redlands often. Happy to have a buffet close by. In calimesa. See u soon.
