If I could give 1/2 a star I would. I placed a catering order almost one month in advance for delivery yesterday 8/10. It was an order for 20 people for some meetings were are having at work. On 8/9 I received a confirmation email from Panera confirming my order for delivery between 11:30 -11:45 a.m. Around 11:40 I began calling the Hastings Ranch Panera to ask where my order was. For almost 20 minutes I made phone calls to Panera as they kept insisting that my food had been delivered and had been left with the security in our lobby. Although I know our security does not and will not receive deliveries for anyone in our building but, I went ahead and checked twice. Panera Hastings Ranch continued to insist my food had been delivered. Once the driver arrived it was made clear that no delivery had been made to my address. Long story short, one of our VPs had to drive to Hastings Ranch to pick-up our order causing our meeting agenda to be disrupted and giving me heartburn! The silver lining to this story is they refunded us almost $400 and threw in two quarts of lemonade. The qaulity of the salads we received was sub-par as the lettuce looked past its "Best by" date. I would think the catering manager would be on top of orders for 20 or more people but obviously not. I will never order from this Panera again. read more

In general, I find Panera underwhelming and a little bland. But the variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, and pastries means that everyone can get something to their liking. The pastries are very tempting, and the cinnamon rolls are huge! I was here very early in the morning, and I appreciated the quick and friendly service. I didn't realize that the egg white sandwich came with cheese until I sat down and looked at my receipt. The cashier quickly notified the kitchen before my food was made. This order is for the coffee subscription promo only. *They social distance and all staff always correctly wears a mask *If you get the cinnamon role or any pastry, ask them to toast it or warm it up, you'll thank me later. *They've always been nice, cordial and friendly. I often put an order in for my hubby on his subscription too, they never fuss about it. *Only once did I have to wait more than 5 min for my coffee or tea order cuz they were short staffed and I guess it was a peak hour. I usually order on the app for pick up so I don't have to wait at all. *This is the closest location for me, I've learned if you order on the app, DON'T DO CURB SIDE PICK UP, PICK UP IN STORE INSTEAD. Super convenient and for all the hours I've been here it's never been crowded. Why not do curb side pick up? Because it's much slower, for good reason too. Their business is impacted, there's less workers inside. If there's only 4 workers and a lot of orders all of them are working hard to fulfill orders, it's much harder for them to walk outside to your car to give you your order. If I could give a negative 5, I would. I usually don't make reviews, but every time we order from your Broadway location, they get our orders wrong. I got tired of driving back to get what we ordered. When I did go back there was a line of angry people waiting to get their orders fixed. We were all met with a smirk by the person preparing the food. Some of the employees are very nice and I feel bad for them because they always seem to be working harder than the rest. One of them even walked me to the door and apologized. Personally, I have chosen not to go there ever again. My daughter ordered something today and they got her order wrong again. No more chances. Yesterday, I went to this Panera to have lunch. I was looking at the display case of all the baked goods that they offer. I was looking at this one baked good that looked like a brownie with sugar powder on it, and I noticed a little fly was walking around it. At first I thought I was seeing things, but then I saw another fly join the first fly and hop on the brownie and start nibbling. THEN I SAW A THIRD FLY!!!! And it made me sick to my stomach! I told the cashier about the flies and she said, " Oh, we dont serve the baked goods that are in the display. Once you order something, we get you a fresh one from the back." I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT FOR ONE SECOND. That is because at one point I remember ordering something from that display case and picking out the one I wanted, and the girl giving it to me from there. So I'm warning everybody right now, I do not think that particular Panera is sanitary, and you really should go somewhere else if you care about germs and hygiene. P.S. I had ordered a sandwich and they give you their potato chips in a sealed bag. When I started eating the chips they really tasted stale to me. So disappointed at the training of service at the Panera at this location. I went in and was the only customer at the time. Was never greeted even though there were 2 "managers" right behind the counter and another server by the pastries. She asked if I had an order to pick up and I told her I needed to place an order. She directed me to the kiosk, which was odd since there were 3 employees there. While I was placing my order, another customer came in and one of the "managers" took her order. Meanwhile, I had completed my order and there was no option to pay by cash. The server came over and said she needed to void the transaction and redo it at the register. I told her I didn't understand why I had to do this in the first place when the customer who came after didn't have to, and she said it was because she was busy and the "managers" were busy talking. This is outrageous service that a customer is ignored, when talking and tidying up trumps customer service. I am a frequent customer at Panera, I would have to say that at times l visit on a weekly basis. This is not my normal location, even more so now, but Panera really needs to look at their employee attitude at this locations. Especially since the so call "managers" have the same approach. Needless to say, I left without buying anything and was given a condescending "have a nice day" as I left, interesting that that was the first greeting I got the entire time I was there. I just wanna say how much I love Panera bread. With that being said, I am a little upset at the fact that I cannot go to the local Panera bread in my neighborhood because the service and the quality of food is so trash. The few times I've gone to this location my food is always been subpar. But the last time I went to this location was the last straw. I ordered food on the app and I arrived at the location and sat in the parking lot waiting for them to bring my food curbside for 10 minutes, mind you there was nobody in the parking lot because it was almost time for them to close. After 10 minutes of some random girl in the location looking at me and not bringing my food out, the manager finally came outside with my food. When I got home I noticed that everything that I asked for was completely wrong. I asked for no tomatoes, and tomatoes and chicken were the only thing on my sandwich. When I realized, I called the location several times & no one picked up & they were still open. Since this location is only .3 miles away from my house I just decided to drive back over so they could correct my order. When I got there I assume that they were closed but since I had just left I thought someone would be nice to help me. My first experience here, I was unimpressed! Tonight I only went because my wife wasn't feeling well and really wanted their broccoli cheddar soup. Customer service was...ok. $30 for 2 Caesar salads and 2 broccoli cheddar soups is a little high, especially when neither one was anything special. I was even lucky enough to bite down on a small piece of plastic that was in my Caesar salad, I can't even tell you what the plastic piece is. Came with my son and his friend during lunch and ordered two kids meals with mac and cheese and apples. When it was first served the apples weren't sliced so I asked the server to slice it for me. He came back with two bowls and took the apples back to the kitchen to get sliced and I didn't pay much attention when he first brought it back as kids were working on their mac and cheese, and they were sitting across from me. Once they were done with the mac and cheese I asked them if they ate their apples but they told me it was "yucky" and that they didn't want it. Before the pandemic, the mac and cheese large bowl was a good portion that two could share. Now, it is a joke. You get a kid's size portion for the same price as the large bowl. It is no longer creamy as it once was and the pizza is like cardboard. I have been a Panera fan for years but they are taking advantage of all of us with reducing the portions and charging more for the food. It can get really cold inside so bring a sweater (even though it's hot outside) esp if you plan to stay for a couple of hours studying. This Panera has become my favorite place to study because of the ambience and vibe inside. I never got bad customer service here and love their paninis. I think there's a limit amount of time you get for their WiFi on weekdays which is the downfall to wanting to stay for a while and study but overall it's clean and there's usually plenty of space to study. read more

I've been coming to Panera for YEARS. I loved it up until my visit to this restaurant. I've ordered the SAME exact thing every time I eat at any Panera. I was in the area and decided to stop at this new location with my whole family. The VERY next day I got the WORST food poisoning of my life. And no I'm not being dramatic or lying. I was literally admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital because of how bad it got and I was told it was a case of really bad food poisoning. I wasn't the only one who got food poisoning. Almost my whole family was sick the next day as well. The doctor told me that someone had probably not washed their hands or it was something in the food. I go here on a regular basis for lunch, and I've tried some of their soups and salads. Although they always mess up my friend and my orders, they always correct it straight away. Because the staff are so nice, we never get angry with them, They are really the nicest staff there is! So to the food: Soups: Garden Vegetable soup is my absolute favorite, lots of vegetables in a tasty tomato soup. Chicken-noodle: ok flavourings, but a bit booring. Broccoli-Cheddar: way too heavy and creamy for my taste, but nice broccoli-pieces in the soup. Cream of chicken and wild rice: also too creamy for me, but a lot of people seems to like this one! Salads: Greek salad: So good, when substituting the Greek dressing for balsamic! I often add chicken to this one for a more complete meal. Classic salad: a good mix of different vegetables in a balsamic dressing, can't go wrong with that. The food here is very affordable and they always use fresh ingredients. You always get a side of their plain or whole grain baguette, both are delicious! I would definitely recommend this place if you feel like having a quick, healthy lunch! read more

i make a few trips to this Panera a month.. just to get some work done, and to enjoy thier coffee and pastries... love thier comfortable booths, service, wifi.. i come for many reasons.. and i support thier business in san diego, la, sacramento.. however, this panera has recently decreased thier outlets..to about HALF! (i know because i come all the time) I am TOTALLY shocked.. now there are VERY few outlets for laptops.. all the outlets in booths, near the fireplaces, under the chairs, have been covered up.. the only ones avaliable are now up against the wall... in about 5 spots in the whole restaurant. in addition they cut off wireless internet to 30 min (peak hours??). what is UP with that? yes i realize that restaurants make money by turning tables, but i believe the reason why Panera does so well is NOT because thier bread is so delicious, but because its a great environment for study groups, meetings, etc. other businesses (privately owned) provide outlet strips for thier customers so that people can use thier electricity and wifi. this panera has clearly shown that they do not want people to come here to do work. if you're going to charge 8 dollars for a sandwich and 4 dollars for a mocha, you can at least leave the wireless up! im sorry to break it to you panera, but i never came to you because i was craving your food. i just enjoyed the environment. for that amount of money - i would much rather go to corner bakery, starbucks, and peet's down the street. read more

I practically lived here when I wasn't at work or at CSUF. I came here often to avoid the crowded-ness of boba shops and when I needed actual silence to study for my exams. There's lots of booths and tables, though the booths fills up quick. Parking is easy, lots of spaces towards the back, and not a lot of people know about this location as it isn't really near any schools. I always get the "You Pick 2" option and go for a Sierra Turkey and whatever soup is available that day. I like their chips here, so I hardly go for the baguette or apple side. I would get a soda and being it's a soda fountain, I get a few refills before leaving Panera. If you haven't been to Panera before, you order in the front first, then they give you a number, sit anywhere and put your number in the stand and they'll bring your food to you. A cool thing about Panera is that they have a rewards card now. CSUF had a Panera located a block over from campus, so straight to the point, I went to Panera often. My points accumulated quickly and on a lot of my visit I had a free pastry or drink. But if you can't wait that long, you can add any pastry item to your order for 99 cents. I love the toffee cookie and the strawberry and cream scone. Good for studying, and I mean actually trying to study kind of studying. read more

Juiciest Coffee Place Ever Ok I am a fan of this place now. My friend had told me about it how its free refill this and it's so cool. I remember going to a Panera in the East Coast and I don't remember it being this cool and lenient on everything. It's my first time coming when they have branched out to the West Coast. Might I say they have definitely won me over. I am writing this review while sitting in my booth. Got the 1/2 and 1/2 for $8. Got the chicken soup and Chipotle sandwich and they are both pretty decently good. Defniitely better than Starbucks food or other coffee shops. It even comes with an extra french bread and you can put butter and it tastes so fresh and delish. It's a good well balanced meal if you are watching your diet since they total the calories for you already per menu item. Green Tea here is sooooooo good. I read a yelper's review on the refillable green tea here and wow I am impressed. It IS good! It doens't taste like the usual chinese tea or japanese tea, it tastes like american green tea? Might have a lot of sugar but the taste is unique and refreshing. Keyword is refillable. PLUS, if you buy a drink from lunch to closing, they sell any pastry for $.99. I got the cheese bread and it's pretty good! I came around night time so they didn't have the souffle's anymore, but I am a BIG FAN of souffles and I would love to taste their souffle here, heard great things about it from yelpers. Now on with the ambiance and setting of the place. It's HUGE with lots of space and room to move around, not feeling cramped with small tables at other coffee shops. Here you can do cartwheels without hitting any of the tables around the whole place. This place has nice big steady tables, probably since its a restaurant as well. The outdoor patio sitting is VERY NICE, almost like you are in a lounge and the furniture is very comfy and nice. Very upscale coffee place without the upscale price. There are also at least 3 stalls in the bathroom for Women alone, I'm sure the Men's is just as big, so you don't have to wait for 1 unisex bathroom. The won me at "refillables" and "free wifi" and serving decent food. I hate leaving when you're studying just to get food. Here you can study and eat real food when you get hungry. Will definitely be back here again and again and again. At around 8pm they also had free samples they were passing out of brownies and walnut brownie which is a plus. AND, I got a whole french bread. WOW. I kinda wish they had like a stamp card so if you come here enough you can get something free. But I guess that's asking for too much when they give a lot of free's already. Hey, it's just a thought. Panera if you are reading this, pleaseee have a stamp card and I will be even more hooked forever and ever. Oh BTW, I almost forgot, they have the coolest techonology here too. When you place an order, they give you a little thing you put on a base at your table and it lights up. Once you hook it up on the base, it will trigger the server on the other end to find out exactly which table you're at without yelling and screaming your name. I haven't seen it before so not sure if this is the only place that has it. But, it's definitely a turn on when the coffee shop is technology savy. I am impressed Panera. read more
