The soup menu varies, so if you are curious, you may want to call first to see what soups are on the menu. The server was pleasant and very courteous. Once my order was placed, the soup was ready in just a few minutes. Along with the soup the table gets biscuits and butter. I didn't need that since I ordered grilled cheese with my soups. If you like soup, I highly recommend you try the soup flight, which is served with your choice of three (3) soups from the menu. My soup flight consisted of crab bisque, tomato bisque, and New England Clam chowder. I also orders the grilled cheese and the crab cake grilled cheese. All of the soups were hot and delicious. The soups were hot from the top to the bottoms of the bowls. That is a plus because normally soup gets cold, but not these. All remained hot throughout. The grilled cheese was made just like you would make it at home. The bread had a nice brown color and toasted to perfection. It had a great crunch, and it was perfect for dipping in my soup. The crab cake grilled cheese was just as tasty. The crab was nicely seasoned and blended very well with the cheese and toast. This is comfort food for any day. Make sure you get to The Soup Bar in Palmyra, NJ. It's well worth it. Till we eat again...

I parked in a parking lot, kind of tight, but I got lucky because there's a 15 minute parking limit here. Somehow, I walked right by the store, not noticing the name in their little window. Once inside, there was a bunch of packaged foods, pasta and salads of various types on a central station, and another against a wall. The line moved quickly, but I was kind of overwhelmed because I hate being in other people's way, and they have so many ingredients in some of their salads that it took a while to process. Other items had no label indicating what they are (or ingredients), and you have to find the main tag on the station just beneath the item... but I was rushed. I picked something that sounded decent (Chinese Chicken Salad) and a red bottled juice, squeezed passed the people at the first register and paid at the second one. Back in my car, the salad and its dressing were exquisite. I can kind of see why I paid over $30 for the two items. But Holy crap... I'm not from around these parts. Did I just say over $30? For a salad and a juice? The place is hopping... so I'm really happy for them. Thank God my company pays for my meals when I'm out on the town working, otherwise I could never bring myself to pay that much money for this, as great as it was. But if you've got the money, this is a great place to spend it! I think they'll be in great shape when the business next door moves out and they can double their storefront space and maybe have a few tables.
