Subs are huge and cheap ! Everyone needs to remember it's a sub shop and not a NYC steakhouse

Amazing subs. They give you lots of meat and the bread is amazing. The price is very fair.

They definitely make the best subs around. They never disappoint. It would be nice if they gave you a pickle slice with your sub.

Deli is worn, run down, and has a musty smell. I decided to buy only packaged food items.

I drove from Providence, RI and when I am passing through Jersey. I always have to make a stop here at Taliercio's. I don't normally right reviews and I eat at many different great restaurants. Although, the way they took care of us, with either the food, feeding us extra stuff while we wait, or making sure we was good from the person making the sandwich to the cashier to the manager. Keep it up guys!

The ordering system in the store is a little unorganized, but par for the course with any good deli. You wait in a semi-organized group of people until a guy behind the counter calls next. Then you pay when your order is ready. We ordered a classic italian sub, a chicken vodka parm with broccoli raab, and a philly cheesesteak eggroll. On a relatively empty wednesday it took us about 20 minutes to place our order, and another 10-15 minutes until we paid and were out the door. This is not a quick pit stop place. The sandwiches are huge, but also pricey at ~$20-30 each for a half size. The cutlets on the chicken vodka parm were way too thick. Almost an inch thick! I prefer many thin cutlets. I don't even think they are sliced and pounded thin. The italian was decent but didn't blow us away. Eggroll was probably the best thing we tried. I don't think we'd go out of our way to come back.

They have a legendary deli counter loaded with subs, wraps, cheeses, soups, sauces, and their famous fresh-baked bread. The butcher counter is top-notch -- and you've got to try the chicken cutlets, they're some of the best around. Their fresh mozzarella is made daily, and the baked goods (bread, pastries, cookies) are always fresh and impossible to resist. They even have a well-stocked pantry section with all the Italian essentials -- from jars of their own house-made sauce to Antonio's pasta and more. You can even grab Nasto's ice cream for dessert! One of my favorite things about DeMARCO'S is their family dinners, which feed 4-6 people and make weeknights so much easier. I tried the Sunday Sauce Family Dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint -- hearty, homemade, and full of that comforting Italian flavor. And if you're hosting a gathering or event, their catering menu is enormous -- seriously one of the biggest and most impressive I've ever seen. Whatever you need, they've got it covered. DeMARCO'S is one of those places that feels like home -- friendly service, fresh ingredients, and food made with care. Congratulations to this Aberdeen staple on 50 delicious years... and here's to many more!

I purchased a chicken parmigiana sub which was excellent but I should have only purchased the half because the whole is a whole lotta sandwich. Would I recommend it? Yes. Is it worth seeing once? Also yes. It has that big, theatrical, old-school deli energy where the portions are part of the show. That said, I'm not in the camp that every good restaurant is automatically a five-star spot. When everything is a five, it gets harder to separate the truly elite places, the hometown heroes, and the restaurants worth planning a trip around. Harold's lands for me as a very solid three-point-something, graciously rounded to four because they have a Marine Corps flag hung in reception. The food was good, the portions were whatever you make it, and the whole place has novelty value without feeling like a total gimmick. The sandwiches are large enough to satisfy a hungry, medium-sized guy without completely defeating him. And honestly, on a menu full of meat, my favorite thing may have been the healthy pickled salad/pickle bar situation -- bright, crunchy, and a great counterbalance to the heavier deli classics. My biggest knock was the service atmosphere. There seemed to be an army of staff, but not much interaction beyond their phones. Maybe I caught it at an off time, and maybe the place comes alive when it's packed, but that kept the experience from feeling warmer or more special. Overall: fun stop, good food, convenient location, and worth doing if you're passing through. Memorable four.
