Place is uncomfortable, tables are old and grimey, food mediocre with small portions, and its expense and not worth the money

Terrible if not the worst location of a Panera In the entire country. I've eaten at over 40 locations and none of them have ever come close to how disgusting this one is. They DO NOT follow covid 19 rules, drivers not wearing masks on more that one occasion and sometimes I see them inside not even wearing masks and quickly putting it over their faces before I pick up. I have had a few instances where my food was incorrect but because I worked as a manager in retail for over 10 years I understood that mistakes happen. One time our food was 2 hours late, the lady on the phone gave me crazy attitude like I had to wait and shut up and deal with it. I've never seen somewhere take this long. They treat the customers like complete garbage if you question anything they do. But December 3rd... we ordered food and two hot chocolates , the hot chocolates complete contents were outside of the cups in plastic bags. Pictures for reference. When I called, the manager, who sounded like a little kid picked up the phone and sounded like he had no idea what happened. Oh and it took me two hours to even reach him because no one answered the phone. He took down my card info over the phone which i was skeptical about and I realized today, december 27th almost a month later that no one ever refunded it. The hot chocolates looked like they were pulled out of the garbage, stunk, and were cold. I threw it all away and never got a refund. Don't go to this location, try another location instead to save you from the headache. I'm still shocked that something this bad was able to happen and I never even received an apology. Repulsive. Friendly, clean spot. Is it the best meal you will ever have no but at the same time it's a nice fast food option. This location has a room in the front with windows that completely open. Kind of like an outdoor seating area but still sheltered. Only problem is you are right on Route 9 in a busy shopping center. But they still have plenty of indoor seating for warmer days. Inside in the back corner there is a double sided fireplace which is really nice on a cool day. I personally love the kiosks they have because I can take my time and look through all my options. You do not get a receipt though. Unless there is some kind of email option I'm missing. If you would rather a more personal ordering experience there is always someone at the counter. You can even order online but I haven't used that option here. The staff here is always friendly and constantly cleaning. The food is always consistent. read more

They act like a family restaurant, but even when you have a membership they will kick you out just because the manager and the person who tries to become one are all trying to get permissions so if you are in a messed up spot f.u. they don't want you in there or should I say their bc they feel like they own it. This review is not because I hate panera... It is to get management's attention. The last several delivery orders all had issues. Either easy instructions not followed or like today, missing items. What drove me to write the review today? A missing baguette for my soup (missing side) and the wrong meat in my sandwich. The roast turkey avacado blt sandwich had sliced deli turkey instead of roasted turkey. The order was just a you pick two and a Baja bowl. When I first moved to this area I used to come to this Panera at least once a week. I was getting delivery and finally I gave up on them from wrong and messed up deliveries. I tried them once more today and it looks like some more years will pass before I try again. All of the bread products were stale. On the website it was impossible to get different bread for my sandwich than what was shown, and it sucked. The croutons for the soups were so old and rubbery they were not fit for human consumption. I guess pigs would have accepted them in their trough if they were moistened first. I paid extra for extra cheese in the french onion soup and I'm not sure there was cheese at all, I saw like one string. I didn't like my sandwich and I see only half of my guest's sandwich is eaten so apparently no joy there either. Perhaps the MANAGER, MIKE, could familiarize himself with the website in order to not sound like a jackass on the phone with customers. Simple question asked "how do I order an individual soup?" Answer: "I have no idea." Really, I am in the area that says soups and stews, manager replies: "Stews, we don't have Stews." I know I said, this is the section of the website I am in, nevermind, click." Who has time for his "duh" answers and inability to understand how to use the website to order individual soup and not soup for a group..... Not the worst event I'm sure to folks reading this, however, since I cater around $10,000.00 USD per year, professionally with this location, you would think they would be on point. I hate ordering from a kiosk (or tablet in this case). It's so impersonable. Plus it doesn't give you a receipt for your order. What if I would like a receipt, huh? Although there is one register that an employee can use, it's just.. no one is ever there to take your order. I cannot tell you about employee satisfaction, because they are never around. Well maybe the one's that bring your food to the table, but I only say "thank you" to them and they are on their merry way back to the pick-up counter. We are regulars and usually pretty happy with our salads, soups and sammies but find that this location never fills the salad dressing container, its like a tablespoon in there, it's so cheesy when you are paying $13 for a salad but THIS order of chicken tortilla soup (see photo) is for some reason listed under the 'bowls' menu for $10 when most soups are $6 so you're thinking this must be a hardy, large bowl? Think again, it's barely filled with broth and a few tablespoons full of chicken and veggies..it was tasty but COME ON PANERA stop ripping us off, charge the usual $6 for a bowl of soup and call it a day because you're going to lose business if you keep this up...Can not wait till Chopt comes to the area and we won't be beholden to the only healthy salad option in town. read more

My husband and I decided to come here for a late dinner (8-9p) after our visit to our gym in the same shopping center. It has been so long since I last visited a Panera Bread so this was like my first time. They have self ordering tablets available to use when you first walk in but I waiting on a short line to order with someone at the register. I like the human interaction and not sure how accurate the computer ordering would be. The girl who took our order was friendly and helpful. I first requested a bread bowl for the soup but she said they did not have any left. I was disappointed about that. Then they didn't have chips my husband wanted. I am hoping that this was just because they were closing soon and it was at the end of the day. My husband and I both got the meals where you get half and half. I love this because each portion of the half is a nice size. Both of our salads were so good and fresh. I had a really good Broccoli cheddar soup and my husband had grilled cheese. This store is beautiful and really nice to eat at. Defiantly will be returning in the future. read more

I have been ordering for delivery at the Old Bridge Panera. They have been pretty reliable when it comes to timely delivery . However , I have noticed that the food is not fresh . They preheat it . Waxing lyrical about a chain restaurant may seem odd but if you are looking for a pleasant place to hang out with friends, family, or just yourself for a bit, this is the place. The dining area is CLEAN, always. Along with the bathroom. Which makes me feel the kitchen is always clean too. And bonus! The food is good. Healthy (notice I didn't say diet), fresh, and always tasty. Breakfast choices are varied and outstanding. My fav is the four cheese breakfast quiche and steel cut oatmeal with strawberries. And yay, the autumn squash soup is back in rotation! With the Green Goddess salad, it's the perfect combo for lunch. More hearty fate is available for dinner, from sandwiches to pasta dishes. On the off chance you don't like something, they will replace it with a smile. Which brings us to the service. This Panera shines with good customer service. All the managers, especially Mani, are warm, approachable and willing to make your experience better. This approach shows in how the employees treat customers with patience and civility. I usually don't Yelp chains like Panera Bread, but the negative experience today warranted it. The cashier I had today must have been new at the job or just having a bad day. I order a full order of salad and drink. That's it, nothing crazy, plenty basic order. The cashier is staring at his register like it's a typewriter and he is writing the next great American novel. He periodically looks up at me to confirm my order and I do so no problem. The ordering process takes more than 10 minutes. Just me and him standing there in awkwardness as he fumbles around haplessly at the register. A fellow cashier attempts to help him but gives up in frustration after repeating the instructions twice. I suspect this is not the first time this happened to this particular cashier. All would be fine still but the cashier never did anything customer service-y. The whole time he seemed irritated and annoyed. Also did not get receipt. Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. Insult to injury: salad was sal-bad. read more

I've been to this Panera on several occasions and have interacted with several different employees BUT have always had the same negative experience. I chucked up the negativity to teenagers who are just coming in for a check, however today's experience came from an adult male MANAGER- who I assume would take his job more seriously. I approached the register as he was completing a sales report (I have been a retail manager) and he looked up at me as if I was a bother. I took a moment to decide on my order and throughout the whole experience he acted as if I was speaking another language and was having difficulty understanding me. The quality of the food and service at this location has been on the decline for some time now. Today I ordered take-out and not only did they get the order wrong (this is not the first time) the food was awful. I ordered four soups and was given all wrong sizes. The sandwiches were awful. I was given two sides instead of four. The honey wheat bread was stale, the lettuce was wilted, and there was barely any tuna on the sandwiches. We wound up tossing the sandwiches in the garbage and went to our local bagel store for replacement sandwiches. This was definitely the last time we order from this location. They have this new ordering system that works great at other locations but here it's almost like you have to wait nearly 15-20 minutes for your food. They want you to sit down and bring it to you but you sit there so long you think they've forgotten about your order. I like the fact that they bring your food to the table, it's difficult when you have your kids to carry all your plates to your table. After today I will never use the tablets that they have inside to order I will wait for a cashier because the table doesn't print you a receipt and when you have a problem you have nothing to look back to as a reference. Today my order got so screwed up my daughter, my husband and I sat down to eat after ordering on their tablets, they brought out our food sporadically in no apparent order. First we got our desserts and the kids meal, then we got my meal and my husbands soup, then his sandwich never came, ask the girl where it is, she asks for receipt (see prior comment) I tell her I ordered at the tablet station she says ok. 10 minutes later he has a half a sandwich(I ordered a whole, I am absolutely positive of this) ok I go back up tell them and they brought it out quickly but he never got his side which I wasn't even going to bother at this point. All in all the people are nice and the food is good. It's a new location with new technology and I'm sure they are working out their kinks. I will still be back weekly I'm sure. This location sucks. All the employees, especially the night ones are terribly rude. I watched one of the dining people wipe a trash can and then used the same wipe to clean the tables. The cashier I had dIdnt seem like she knew what she was doing. When I was telling her what I i wanted, it's like she had no idea what the panera menu is. And what's even better, when I was waiting for my food (to go) all I hear in the back is people yelling and cursing. When my food was ready, they called my name and threw my bag on the counter. The dining girl "checked" it but then when I get home, I'm missing 2 sandwiches and soup! What the hell Parlin, everytime I come I have a terrible experience...even people I know say the same. Really shitty place to eat, used to work here and on what I saw inside is what I'm going to tell you about the food and service the managers are really snobby towards customers and hassle them for meat portions and any other extras sometimes totally ditching the request, very impatient and the managers curse out any customer in the back for a request the employees on the other hand are great and down to earth but on top of that nothing is prepped in store but frozen and refrigated then microwaved to your plate saying the food is "fresh" but in reality is not, and if you eat here be careful if the plate or bowl is not cleaned properly most of the time they would just wipe off the food aNd serve it on the same plate which is really disgusting and definitely possesses a lot of bacteria. The only good thing about Panera are the pastries and bread which is the only thing fresh in the store but for what you pay for outrageous just look at the menu prices I do not recommend this place it's dirty in the back and clean in the front in my opinion get food at a better place, and don't have to ditch out a lot of money for tiny portions read more
