I visited this location for lunch this afternoon and found a bug in my sandwich. I immediately asked to speak to the manager Hana and showed her the bug in my sandwich. She replies "do you want me to make you another sandwich or..." in which I replied I want a refund. While refunding my order the only thing she said was did you eat the salad that came with the pick two. (The salad was on the tray with the sandwich I handed her) she honestly showed no compassion or sympathy for the fact that her restaurant is serving food with bugs in it. I don't even think she apologized for the whole situation. Not to mention they're serving all the customers ice out of a random ice tray because their fountain ice machine is broken and has been this way for a while now. I visit this location and others quite often for lunch but probably won't be doing so again after this experience! read more

Do NOT get anything from their fountain drinks! I will never go to this Panera again, it's worth the time and gas to go to Lancaster or somewhere else because of the terrible customer service. If you drink the water from the machine it tastes disgusting, there has to be mold in the machine meaning all of the sodas have MOLD in them. After complaining about their disgusting water numerous times, they offered to get me warm water from the sink in the back instead of a water bottle. The manager was extremely rude and says there's nothing wrong with the water, yet the employee tried it before asking her and spit it out immediately because it was so gross. I even overheard the manager saying that everyone ALWAYS complains about the water so just to give us warm water! She knows it's terrible and lies about it to my face. The food here is great, when they decide to give you enough of it. After getting a bowl of chicken noodle soup with literally one bite of food they did add more food to the bowl after complaining and waiting give minutes for the manager to decide she could spare the extra food. If they get rid of the terrible manager here and fix their health hazardous and disgusting tasting water I'd consider coming back, but in the meantime I'll be eating elsewhere. Panera is pricey enough you would think theyd at least have the money to pay to clean their machine or change out the water filter. read more

Horrible customer service. Messed up my order twice and was over charged. It took a lot of explaining to cashier to get my order straightened out. When that finally happened I thought all was good. I take my order and get to my destination with incorrect food. Ugh!!!!!! It's frustrating!!!! Won't be visiting a Panera again. Waited forever to order, yet again (almost always) I arrived before 8:00pm and NO bread bowls. SURPRISE! I waited for my food after making alternate selections to hear the staff discussing that they were now out of sour dough bread. The receipt says that your order should be correct every time. If it's not, they'll fix it and give you a free treat for your trouble. This place used to be one of my favorites. The food was really good fresh quality and the service was awesome. How times have changed. Now, the sandwiches are slopped together and the meat almost makes me want to throw up. This is assuming they get your order right (which is 10% of the time). The person taking my order at the register speaks English as a second language and the person making my sandwich speaks Spanish as an ONLY language. What is the point in having food brought to you if I have to keep going back to get things corrected? I would rather this place be set up like a Subway where you just pick and choose your food along the way to make sure it is ordered properly. I work at NASA and often have to get lunch catered. I normally have to order lunch for 15-20 people. The supervisor who has helped me is named Josh and has made this process so easy. Its been a while since eating at Pandera Bread Palmdale, now I remember why. First w 2 customers in front of me it took the cashier 10 min to get to my order. Plus another 15 min for my order, never called my name that the ORDER was ready on back counter. Another worker finally said " ur order on counter", bag was open w bread visible. Messed up, another customer was coughing on the booth next to the counter. Final we sat down to eat my wife's $12 Strwb Poppy chk salad was wilted, old looking & my Frontega chicken sandwich was half the sandwich in pic., I mean I lifted the bread to see the the chicken spread, no chunk of chicken like photo. Panera Bread, Palmdale CA location. I'm a sales rep and order lunches for my customers, usually 10-25 people. I've used Panera Bread in other locations and the service has always been excellent, on time, and food has been consistently great, something that I can count on. Ordered from the Palmdale location and it was a disaster! Pulled up at curbside, used the app to let them know I was there, 10 minutes later, still no response. I arrived at 11:20am which was the time of my order and they weren't very busy at all, parking lot fairly empty. I went inside and asked for my order which was behind the counter and had to ask for someone to help me carry it out - the order was for 22 people so there were two large bags and two totes with 4 half gallon containers - why I had ordered for curbside pickup! After we placed the order in the car, I asked the Panera employee if everything was there and she said yes and walked away. I looked through the bags and found that 22 bags of chips were missing, no cups for the tea and no napkins and utensils. I went back in and asked for the rest of the order and they had to throw things in a bag, more time wasted. When I arrived at the lunch and was setting up, I looked in the bag and there were only plastic knives! The sandwiches were already cut in half, so not sure why they sent knives, and no forks for the salads that had been ordered. All in all, the food was good, not as good as other locations because the salads had some older lettuce, and the service was poor. I won't order from this location again. read more

Where do I start? The line was ridiculously long and only one cashier. While she was a friendly cashier, the wait time was a huge disappointment. Then there was a worker I don't recall her name but I think her name tag started with a N. And LORD did mrs. N love sweeping the dining area. We arrived around 4:15 PM ; super long line. Ordered around 4:30. Ate and left at 5 and she was still sweeping. She was sweeping the same spot for about 15 minutes until she moved on. Mind you the dining area did not look dirty at all. Since the dinner rush was about to comencé. The only reason the sweeping is an issue is because there was a HUGE line out the door and she just stood there. Her manager asked her to make juice ..... stood there. Another associate asked her for help... stood there. No sense of urgency. Then the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich but I guess they forgot to add the chicken. There wasn't enough help to even bother complaining. read more

Absolutely love everything they have!! Delicious breakfast sandwiches, their soufflés are to die for! Lunchtime sandwiches are great! Soups yummy! Their pastries are worth the fat calories you will consume! Great deals on bagels on Tuesdays, pastas are great! Pretty much anything you get here, you will be more than happy and satisfied. Never had a bad meal at Panera, always tasty, hot and fresh. The only disappointment today is the condition of the bench seats. The cushion is worn to the point of when you sit down your bottom hits the lumpy wood frame and it is very uncomfortable to sit. I tried two different booths with the same results. Management needs to fork over some cash and replace them or have them re-stuffed. read more

Only reason they received 3 stars is their food and the great sweet girl that took our order. I asked for a box for my leftover salad. After putting my salad in said box I realized it was a defective box and the clear plastic top was missing. I went to the food pass counter and asked for a bigger box do I can just drop it in without having to scoop all out and into another box. She handed me the same box after telling her why I need another one. I then told her I asked for a bigger one please. She took the other one down and SLAMMED the bigger one on the counter! We arrived at 10:58 AM for breakfast on Sat 4-22-17. We waited about 3 minutes in line and then went up to order some breakfast sandwiches. The lady behind the counter said that it was past breakfast time and that she wouldn't make the sandwiches because breakfast ended at 11:00 AM. It was 11:01 AM and if it wasn't for the slow service from the previous patrons, we would have been under the 11:00 AM cutoff. We were in line before the 11:00 am cutoff and there was no reason why they couldn't have make the breakfast sandwiches for us. This is another example of the horrible customer service at this Palmdale Panera Bread. They frequently run out of items like the breakfast suffles and never seem to be able to predict customer demand after all the time they've been in business . It will be a long time before I return. I want to love Panera for the healthy food and choices that actually taste good, but this location is making it hard on me. The Panera app with the pre-order really helps with the lunch rush. Without that I don't think it this location would be worth the stars. Had a bad experience with soup where there was some type of bright blue plastic in it. Every single pastry I've had for breakfast or dessert is always hard or stale. Cookies, cinnamon buns, all hard each time.
