Where do I start? The line was ridiculously long and only one cashier. While she was a friendly cashier, the wait time was a huge disappointment. Then there was a worker I don't recall her name but I think her name tag started with a N. And LORD did mrs. N love sweeping the dining area. We arrived around 4:15 PM ; super long line. Ordered around 4:30. Ate and left at 5 and she was still sweeping. She was sweeping the same spot for about 15 minutes until she moved on. Mind you the dining area did not look dirty at all. Since the dinner rush was about to comencé. The only reason the sweeping is an issue is because there was a HUGE line out the door and she just stood there. Her manager asked her to make juice ..... stood there. Another associate asked her for help... stood there. No sense of urgency. Then the food. I ordered a chicken sandwich but I guess they forgot to add the chicken. There wasn't enough help to even bother complaining. read more

Came her with my daughter who ordered the kids soup and I got the pick two. I ordered a soup and watermelon feta salad and drink. Our bill was $20! I guess I haven't been to a Panera and maybe this is why. Our soups were ok, but my salad had old looking wilted pieces of arugula in it. I don't think I'll be back again. Don't even waste your time here. Go somewhere else where the service is good, not to mention the quality of the food. This has to be in the top 10 for the WORST Panera's to visit. I want to love Panera for the healthy food and choices that actually taste good, but this location is making it hard on me. The Panera app with the pre-order really helps with the lunch rush. Without that I don't think it this location would be worth the stars. Had a bad experience with soup where there was some type of bright blue plastic in it. Every single pastry I've had for breakfast or dessert is always hard or stale. Cookies, cinnamon buns, all hard each time. I've taken it back and tapped on it to show it was hard only to have my replacement be the same! Made me feel like nothing there was fresh. read more

We arrived at 10:58 AM for breakfast on Sat 4-22-17. We waited about 3 minutes in line and then went up to order some breakfast sandwiches. The lady behind the counter said that it was past breakfast time and that she wouldn't make the sandwiches because breakfast ended at 11:00 AM. It was 11:01 AM and if it wasn't for the slow service from the previous patrons, we would have been under the 11:00 AM cutoff. We were in line before the 11:00 am cutoff and there was no reason why they couldn't have make the breakfast sandwiches for us. This is another example of the horrible customer service at this Palmdale Panera Bread. They frequently run out of items like the breakfast suffles and never seem to be able to predict customer demand after all the time they've been in business . It will be a long time before I return. Check#152610 @ 10:20am on 12/24/2018...My cashier was Gabriela (at least that's what my receipt says). Where do I begin...never fully paid attention to the order that my wife and I were placing, never handed me my cup, receipt, or number. I'm not sure why, but she didn't want to scoot anything to the front of the counter for me to grab. I literally had to go behind the counter to grab what she was trying to give me. When I told her that I didn't know if so should sign my receipt or not because she was leaving it behind the counter, her response was rude. The look on her face. Just rude. She needs to be written up, retrained, and reminded that she has a job because of the customers. That's her real boss. If she doesn't like to deal with people, she needs to go to the back of the store and clean/prep food only. read more

Well I had to drive to this panera the one on 47 has close down wow .The server was nice my soup came very fast. the parking was pretty good it's across the street from target.now there only two in antolope valley west palmdale and lancaster. They have the rudest staff, but what do you expect when the manager is the rudest of them all? She probably fires any decent employee. Besides that, their portions are much smaller than any other Panera Bread when they manage to get the order right. MOST importantly their water tastes disgusting. I had to spit it out and request a bottle, then they offered me warm tapwater instead and the manager actuslly COMPLAINED that too many customers are complaining about their water. It's started tasting worse and worse and probably has mold in it. I'm considering calling the FDA. Will not return, go to the Lancaster location until they fire their manager unless you want small portions of the wrong food with am attitude and moldy water. read more

Really loved this place for a while, but..... Just had a rather violent bout of nausea after our visit there tonight. I have to wonder if food safety is being compromised? UPDATE: Nausea evolved to uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea. Entire stomach was emptied of all food i had eaten that day. These symptoms were followed by shaking, increased heart rate, shortness of breath and profuse sweating. I actually formed pools of sweat around my feet as I sat on the edge of the tub. Went to Emergency Room at 2:30am and was admitted and put on medication to relieve the abdominal pain from the vomiting and dry heaves, another medication to prevent the spasms and hooked up to an IV to replenish my body of all of the fluids & electrolytes that I had lost. Paperwork from the ER stated that we had been stricken with gastroenteritis. Onset was within 3 hours which would indicate a bacterial cause. Sadly, I will likely associate this restaurant with vomiting and diarrhea for some time to come. read more

Panera as a chain has always had excellent service and great quality of food. This particular link in the chain was well off par. The girls they had at the counter were very pushy, trying to hustle us along, even though there was no one behind us. When my boyfriend and I made up our minds, they were suddenly nowhere to be found. Then we found out they were out of EVERYTHING. Out of bread for their sandwiches, out of lemonade, and out of the soups they had advertised for the day. Boyfriend settled on a sandwich, no mayo, but had to substitute the bread. He was given no choice of side as normal. I ordered a plain bagel -- the LAST plain bagel -- toasted. No condements, nothing else. We went to find our table, it was near impossible to find one that wasn't covered in plates and/or crumbs, so we cleaned our own. When we received our food, his sandwich oozed a mountain of mayo out the side and not only was my bagel untoasted, but cold and soggy. After our "meal" I excused myself to the ladies room, and do you remember how they were out of everything? Yes. No paper towels and only about 4 squares of toilet paper between the two dirty stalls. I will never again step foot into this Panera, and my view of the chain has been tainted. I only hope the Lancaster location can erase these mishaps from my memory and restore Panera to its former glory. read more

This was the lunch selection the other day while I am down here. As I have said I am going to use my time down here to eat at as many different places as I can. I have had Panera before but decided to have it again and review it. I had the steak and white cheddar Panini. It was made on a french baggette. The steak was sliced about 1/4 inch thick but was very tender with a great flavor. The cheese added a nice flavor to it. I had them make it with mayo to add another layer of flavor to it. They then put it on a panini press to put a nice grill on it. The bread had a nice crunch to it with grill marks on it. It was served with potato chips. The flavor of the panini was wonderful. I had an iced tea with it. There are 3 different types of tea that you can choose from but I had just regular unsweetened iced tea. If you want something different from the normal burger place this is a good choice. read more

My granddaughter and I went here-( Panera in Palmdale) Saturday January 20 around 6 pm. First- our table was dirty- I cleaned it myself. My soup was not even warm and it was filled with croutons( I did NOT ask for any croutons)- I am wondering now if they were low on tomato soup or just really tight with their servings. I probably should have sent it back- but we had already waited a long time (even though the place wasn't that busy) and I was really hungry. My Napa almond chicken salad sandwich was very tasty - but the amount of chicken salad was absolutely not enough for a half sandwich ( there was about 1 1/2 tablespoons of chicken salad spread thinly on the bread). My granddaughter was told she could not have bread with her soup because they were all out of bread- REALLY? Isn't this called Panera BREAD? read more

The people who work here were very helpful and friendly. Costumer service 10/10. The food however, was disappointing. My favorite thing was Panera is the clam chowder bread bowl and I was sad to hear they discontinued it. So I decided to try another bread bowl but they were all sold out. I went with a sandwich, fruit and drinks instead but the sandwich was not to my liking. 5/10 The smoothie tasted like a strawberry danimal (which I guess could be cool to some) 4/10 and the iced coffee was okay but not as good as Starbucks 7/10. The fruit cup I got had a few pieces of fruit in. Total rip off for $3. Now let me tell you about the chocolate chip cookie. That shit was harder then the plate the food came on. I took 1 bite from it and it fell into pieces like a nature valley bar. There going to have to get a vacuum to clean up all the crumbs. Cookie 0/10, unless your into eating rocks and stuff. I like this place in Palmdale. They are polite, accomodating and the food is always fresh and good. I have never had a problem with them except for just a bit of tertness one time when I was waiting for my order that I saw ready and getting cold, and I asked about it at the back counter. Don't get the Thai Chicken Salad. It had more fatty deep fried wonton things than actual chicken. Although they get points for the roasted edamame. I've actually had better salads at Jack in the Box. I liked 1/2 salad 1/2 sand combo thingy because there were a lot of different choices and they turkey was decent . The only redeeming quality was the free wi-fi. BUT make sure you get there before the rush as there are only THREE power outlets...it was stiff competition to snag the one I finally did. I got here at 0700 on a Saturday and it was so noisy I couldn't sit and relax like I had intended. There was some alarm that was going off every fifteen seconds that persisted the entire visit. Honestly panera is hands down one of the best places to get real fresh food in the av . The green tea is absolutely to die for especially because it's free refills! You cannot say that for most places. The food is really expensive but to me it's worth it. Very friendly enviorment . Usually packed and a little slow but if you have the Time worth it for a nice meal. I highly recommend a green tea with a pick two meal everything on the menu is good and good portions. read more
