This is the worst Panera I have ever been by far. They always forget something. The drive thru is horrible. They always tell you to park and make you wait for your order, ALWAYS. The kid didnt know what the pastry was that I ordered. The register asked if I wanted to know if I wanted to tip. Tip for what? There is no table service there. It makes zero sense. Also, had a hard time finding a place to sit as all tables that were available were dirty. The trash where you drop off your plates were full. The paint is chipping off the walls. What has happened to Panera? Is it just this one? As we ate, there were a group of off clock employees sitting by the bathrooms being extremely distracting. The one manager in the checkered shirt had her shirt unbuttoned so far you could see down her shirt. Not professional at all. She also kept touching her hair in the bread area. If she is working with food her hair should be up and not being spread all over. Maybe more training for the entire staff including the management? read more

At approximately 8:50 (Incase anyone cares and wants to check the cameras) on 9-23 I came here traveling bAck to NC from Florida. The First Lady that helped me was very nice and professional. She instructed me to wait over at the other counter for my latte. There was a girl wearing a headset(I thought it might have been a fm radio which was weird ) there was a guy pressed all the way against her whole body with his arms wrapped around her neck. I waited there for a couple of minutes. The guy then released her . She proceeded to go around to the other side and make my coffee. Gross... just a side note , she was then asking him what he wanted to eat and drink from her side. I think she might live there. Placed an online order 45 minutes ahead of time. Got there 5 minutes pssed quote time to find my order not ready. NBD really accept afyer I finally got my order 20 minutes later with no apologies, order was thrown togther so sloppily, and salad was completely wrong. Literally the worst Panera bread I've ever been to. Sucks it's the only one in town, the service is as bad as the food. They ALWAYS mess up the order and are out of half the food you want. Too bad I did not read the reviews before I went. Paid the most amount of money for the least amount of food. I see their running out of food items is a regular thing with them. I ordered a $8.19 chicken salad sandwich which literally had less then 1/3 c. of chicken salad. I know. I took it home and measured it. Do you know how little that is? My husbands $8.99 steak sandwich was no better. They ran out of chips and offered a hunk of bread or an apple. The people after us were told there were no tomatoes for their salads. We overheard they ran out of their broccoli and cheddar cheese soup. This was a Friday at 1:20 pm. Who runs a business like that? Very expensive for food not worth eating. Will never go there again. Wish this posting would do any good. Maybe someone else will read this and not suffer the same disappointment. Panera's really should be ashamed of this place. read more

One of, if not the filthiest women's bathrooms I have ever seen. Two stalls- one with a gob of paper in it and the other whose toilet had clearly not been cleaned in a very long time. Paper towel dispenser was jammed. Meanwhile, next to the sink is A supposed CDC sign posted that reads "wash hands to stop the spread of disease." Btw, It might also help stop the spread if this establishment's bathroom were regularly cleaned. Do your part too,Panera manager. I'm sad to say I'm ALWAYS upset after I order my food from this location. They are ALWAYS out of everything. Like I mentioned in my tips.. constantly running out of bread bowls. I have no idea how a Panera BREAD can even let that happen. The last 4 times we have gone there they are out of soups and bread bowls and bread for sandwiches... I think they need to come up with a plan. The annoying this is they will offer you the regular bowl and give you a small piece of bread to go... hi um but no you can throw a few pieces in there for the inconvenience and not charge me for it considering I wanted a bread bowl on top of the fact you're out of the two soups I also tried to order. The young kids at the drive through can also be a bit rude too. I just had high hopes for this location as I have never had any issues at any other locations. Get it together guys!! Update from 7/1/18 I wanted to go inside and study. I walk in the staff was certainly in rare form that night. Laughing and acting like children. I had to repeat my order 3 times bc she was laughing at whom ever was in her ear. I was getting irritated but kept my cool. I get my food, they actually had my soup for once so that was cool! Next thing I smell this awful smell of like mildew and it was worse as the AC kicked off. I couldn't take it, after 30 mins of trying to study I was over it. As I was walking out another customer was complaining of the smell. We both agreed it smelled of mildew and I told him that was why I was leaving. I was disappointed before but I am even more after dining in. The young crew working there needs a baby sitter or a manager because clearly they can't handle working with out someone to keep them in check. One of the worst Paneras I have ever been in. The restaurant itself is not especially clean; however, the help is really horrible. I went in this morning about 11 AM. I ordered a fruit smoothie. There were three people behind the counter. They were more interested in talking to each other than they were to taking my order. When I asked what was in the smoothie, they told me fruit. It was a super fruit smoothie and I was looking for the specific kind which they could not tell me what it was. I waited for it to be made, one of them said to the other, "I'm not making that" and I waited a good 10 minutes for to be made by somebody who would condescend to make the smoothie. Check your order before leaving the drive thru window. They don't give you the pickle with your sandwich. Last 4 visits in a row they didn't add the pickle even though the window server said "it should be in there" . Check for yourself before you drive away. This has been an on going problem for the last year. As Joe Pesci said in one of the Lethal Weapon movies "they always f#*k you at the drive thru". I would not trust this location on SR100 in Palm Coast, FL, maybe later, but they did not have their mask on while preparing my food last night. I asked for a full refund. I was VERY disappointed with their loosly following rules to keep people safe. Their lack of standard operating procedures performance gets a "F" today. Which words come to mind when you think of Panera Bread? Clean, modern, delicious--overall, Panera is the "safe choice". Well, let me tell you: this location does not fit into any of those descriptions. First of all, I asked for the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt WITHOUT avocado. However, when I got my sandwich, there was scraped-off avocado everywhere! The sandwich wasn't that great either, because they just put blobs of ingredients on it (for example, the peppers were all concentrated in one part of the panini). The avocado smear wasn't the only unwanted green stuff in my food, because my mac and cheese had mysterious green chunks mixed in with its cheese sauce that was WAY too liquid-y. Perhaps they mixed it with the same thing they took the avocado off my sandwich with. It's also worth noting that the coffee was terrible. Even more, this is probably the most outdated Panera I've seen in a long time. The furniture is old and nasty, and the design of the place seems unsettling if you've ever been to any other Panera. Also, the plates were not clean. There was some mysterious black matter (what looked like old food) in the middle of my plate. There was also a small pool of water on the side of my plate. Cheese sauce was all over my mac and cheese bowl's rim, and it was even on my napkin. The staff wasn't even friendly. No "good mornings" or smiles. Additionally, the presentation was pretty bad. I don't know if I've ever seen Panera food that made me think of airplane food (or prison food). The only redeeming qualities that make this review two stars instead of one are the soufflés (not bad), pastries, and the fact that the kitchen staff made a new mac and cheese when I told them about the green in mine. Next time I'm in the area, I'll find another place to eat, like the Chipotle next door. I won't return here if I don't have to. read more

This place was unprepared. We showed up for lunch at 11:05 am and there was no soup. Any soup. When I asked "why", the answer was: "because the soups are heating up and they have not reached serving temperatures yet." So then, why didn't the Panera staff start heating the soups hours ago so that they could be prepared to serve them at the correct time? There was also no Pepsi at all, the other sodas were weak and had to be changed out, they didn't make adult grilled cheese anymore at this location, there were no leftover breakfast items available, It just seemed like everything we wanted from Panera was all of the sudden unavailable at this location. As far as Panera's go, this is subpar. It's gotten a little better, but the overall atmosphere of this place is McDonalds..eee. They ring your ringer before the food is ready, and then act like there is nothing wrong with you standing there waiting for your food to be done. The whole point of the ringer is to make the experience nice for the customer, but these people rather make sure their service times are low, rather then customer experience. This has happened to me multiple times. Also, they ALWAYS run out of Apple Crunch Muffins by about 10 AM. Some time ago, the managers that ran this place were ridiculously bad. If I would have left this review back then, i would leave one star. Its better now, but still the general feel of the place is like a fast food place, which Panera never was for me. I don't blame any of the staff, its the franchise owner. Apparently this is a franchise run by the son of the original owner, and the son either doesn't care, or doesn't know what he is doing. I use to love Panera, and maybe it's just this location that's crappy! I did the rapid order online. I arrived about 10 min after it was supposed to be ready, and it still was not on the shelf. There is no other way to put it, but this Panera Bread sucks. My fiancée and I have been here 5 times since moving to the area last year. 3 out of those 5 times, they messed up our order by forgetting multiple items. The one time they forgot a sandwich and the manager called to apologize. He offered to give us the sandwich free, as well as some free items from the bakery. As a result, I drove back to the location, and the manager didn't come through with what he promised. The only time that the service was alright was when we actually went there and sat down to eat, even that was iffy because the staff was all about goofing off. All this brings me to our most recent service experience on 5/24/19. We placed an online order at 8:43pm, and showed up at 9pm to pick up the order (they close at 9:30pm - the order was not complicated). When we got there, the manager approached and said they just received the order on their end, but he couldn't fulfill the order because they are out of everything (bread, bananas, bakery items, salad). How do you run out of bread when you are Panera Bread!?!? This manager had to lie about what he said. I believe they just didn't want to fulfill the order because the crew was already cleaned up and standing around by 9pm. I mean he could have at least offered substitute options if they were out of items! But no, most the workers here are lazy! I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy because it is so lousy! It's sad because the experiences here makes me not want to go to any other Panera Bread location. This location has ruined my view/opinion of the Panera Bread brand.
