Let me set the stage: This order was done from a kiosk, we dined in, and there were more employees than customers. I ordered a Toasted Frontega Chicken Sandwich, no basil was available and I wasn't made aware via the kiosk or when I picked it up. I had to go back up and request spinach as a replacement. My daughter ordered a kid's Turkey Sandwich with Mixed Berry Yogurt. After sitting back down from having to retrieve the above mentioned spinach, I notice my daughter's sandwich looked on the light side (which is weird because she added tomatoes and cucumbers). Sure enough they left off the turkey. Now I'm up again to retrieve turkey. Just as my toosh hits the seat, my daughter is showing me that she got the wrong flavored yogurt. I pick up the receipt, it clearly says the other flavor. Perhaps the employee was making more executive decisions without me. I'm thoroughly unimpressed with this location. We stopped for our first meal of the day, at 4:30 pm while traveling. Needless to say, I expected better. Thumbs down guys. I visit Panera regularly in my city so I figured visiting a Panera in another city would be fine. When my husband and I are headed to St. Louis, we normally stop in Paducah, KY. We needed to fill up our gas tank and get some food so we stopped at this Panera. The people inside were friendly. I had ordered my family's food via the app so that we could do rapid pickup. Our food wasn't ready by the designated time so they gave us a free cinnamon roll. Of all the times I have eaten at Panera, I've never had the oatmeal. I have been missing out! My Green Goddess Cobb salad with chicken breast had something gritty in it. Might have been "bacon bits", definitely wasn't bacon. Otherwise, it was good. My granddaughter's Mac & cheese, yogurt, milk and cookie were fine, as usual. The coffee did not taste as good as it used to. Service was SLOW. I finally went to check since it didn't seem crowded, yet our beeper hadn't gone off. One woman ahead of me had a carry out order. Many orders were bagged ready for pick up/delivery. Orders were going out of the drive through. Those of us there in person to eat were way down the list of priorities. Disappointing. Usually, I am offered a receipt at the register. With my grand daughter along, I didn't realize the young man hadn't offered me one. When I went back to request one, he was not at the register and the other clerk was busy. I expect a receipt to verify my order was correct. Also shows what time order was placed which was relevant today. It was very noisy today with many groups of little children. Awesome soup and fast, friendly service. We stopped off while traveling thru and each had a bowl of soup which came with a good size hunk of good and crusty bread. The bread was great for dunking in the soup. I had an 8 vegetable soup that was thick and well seasoned. It hit the spot. The other soups were chicken noodle, creamy chicken and rice and French onion. There were empty bowls at the dog the meal and everyone enjoyed their soup selection. One member of the party also had a small bowl of Mac and cheese topped with bacon bits. She reported that it was good-homemade tasting. I also had a blood-orange lemonade that I enjoyed. The only downfall we experienced was a small women's bathroom. We were here around 2:30 in the afternoon (late lunch) and with a two stall bathroom, there were 3 people inside waiting and 3 people outside the bathroom door waiting, which created a blocking going into the men's restroom. read more

The staff is the friendliest I have encountered at any Panera Bread location; smiling and helping with any questions, order pick-up etc. Tonya will make you smile in the drive-thru, Jackie is always making sure the dining room and customers are well taken care of and Christian takes great care to know the local customers and their orders, having them at the ready with a smile. I used this location as a study go-to while working on my online degree, and I can honestly say this staff doesn't even know how much their enthusiasm and help got me through some tough papers, assignments and exams. Today I added the Panera App to my iPhone. I received an instant reward so I decided to try it out. I went inside to order. Skipped the kiosk, and ordered with an employee. I ordered the half & half. I chose half the Greek Salad, and half the Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich. For my side I picked a fresh red apple, I'm calorie conscious. I asked the employee since Panera is known for natural foods, locally grown if the red apple was organic. She did not know. She tried to ask others, they did not know. I asked her if it was not, if they wash the commercial wax off the apples that they serve. Because I do not want this chemical in my body. She did not know, so I washed my own apple. The food looked and tasted great. However I do not think someone who is truly wanting to eat 100% organic can TRUST this chain to get it right. They claim they do, but I'm not feeling very secure about that. They definitely charge organic prices! My lunch was $12.16 after I added a large unsweetened black iced tea. See pictures, the food looks great. Hope this helps. My "reward" was a large chocolate chip, M&M cookie which I gave to my grandson who is 3. I do not eat them. I was not offered anything else. This is a great location, Panera has healthy choices (and excellent, strong coffee), and it is usually clean. The problem here, though, is that the service is almost always a struggle. This has been a meeting spot for me with friends often since it's been in Paducah. I've been there when the coffee is out, but the biggest problem (and I have to say it is actually usually the case) is getting help at the register. In the 20 times that I am there in the morning (6:15 or so) I am often the first one in the line. Even though there are lots of people working on bread & stuff, no one ever seems to want to come to the register. Since I am usually just there for the coffee, getting served and then to a seat is important. Having to wait on service and then ask for coffee to be brewed fresh isn't cool. read more

We dine in or pick up food from this Panera very often. The portions of soup is much bigger when you dine in versus drive thru. I'm not sure why. But, a large soup when dining in is MUCH larger than when ordered at the drive thru. Same goes for the Mac & cheese. It's not enough of a big deal for me to give less than five stars. I just wanted to point that out! The last time I drove thru, I checked my order and there was an entire sandwich missing. I advise drive thru customers to check their orders before driving away! The salads were Asian Chicken which consisted of a head of Romaine coarsely chopped with three wide dried Chinese noodle parts. That was it. We have eaten in Panera's and gotten to go from coast to coast - this was totally unsatisfactory. When my husband went back the person in charge told my husband the salad did not contain the ingredients listed on the website menu. Honestly, I think the salad at McDonald's might give them a run for quality. We were refunded $20, less than cost of salads and did not provide a meal after a long day!
