The chicken salad looks OK but the side of avocado that they put in it was so hard that I could not even eat it. And some of the lettuce was kind of brown like or it's been sitting out or it's just old not sure.On the restaurant seating area coming around some of the tables are not clean and there is not that many people in here. The phone has been ringing up the hook and even though there is people back there, nobody picks it up ...Not sure why. I always like the restaurant because location is convenient, but I wish they could be a little bit more conscious and clean the tables. Purchased food to bring to a night shift. ordered the new Asiago Roma Chicken stack. Asiago bagel was out of stock, chose a second option. requested no tomatoes. Hours later I get to work and the sandwich has ingredients that were not even supposed to be on the sandwich. Fudgy Brownie CinnaTop: Panera recently introduced a slew of new items including three varieties of what they have dubbed "CinnaTops". The Cinnatop flavors include Candy Cookie, Choco Chipper Cookie, and Fudgy Brownie. It was easy narrowing down which I would try as I'm a fudgy (not cakey) brownie fan. The official description is "A deliciously crafted cinnamon roll made with our sweet dough, stuffed with cinnamon-sugar filling and topped with decadent icing, brownie chunks and finished with an icing drizzle". It comes in a cute little windowed box and was relatively hefty. Also of note, it is served as a room temperature dessert. I have not had the most recent iteration of Panera's cinnamon roll, but I would imagine it's similar if not exactly the same as this (just minus the brownie pieces). There is a copious amount of icing both on top of the roll and even inside (see cross-section picture). As good as that sounds, that brings me to my biggest complaint and that is the flavor. The icing is extremely tangy, to the point that I want to describe it as having a lemony flavor (not a plus in my book). Thankfully the chocolate flavor of the brownies helps to distract from this. Mine came topped with eight brownie pieces that were approximately the same size, but that might vary with your experience. Although not as fudgy or tasty as my homemade brownies, they were satisfying enough. There is also a nice amount of cinnamon flavor from the cinnamon-sugar filling (again see cross-section picture) to help diminish that awful lemony icing. If you plan on trying the new CinnaTops, my final word of advice is to warm them up in the microwave as it made enough of a difference in taking this from an avoid, to just okay dessert. It's Panera. Everything is fresh, and staff is pretty friendly. They will find your table and bring out your order if you're eating in, but you have to clear out your table. You can grab self serve water with lemon. You can also order through the computer directly, and cups for your beverage purchases are all there for you to just take - honor system. Don't abuse it! For a chain bakery that I've been going to since... well for quite a long time, I'm still not sure that I believe the more recent price hike justified. But it's ok. I still go on a whim. read more

I agree with people who said the food is shockingly inconsistent and the dining room is a mess. We used to come here a fair amount, a once-a-week thing and after ordering say "I wonder what we'll get this time?" I order the exact same sandwich every time (not too many vegetarian sandwiches), but I rarely get what I order. You get the receipt and what you order, EXACTLY what you order, is printed on it. So, hmmm.... I had to stop getting any dressing because my sandwich would come swimming in dressing. I always order basil and one time recently - I actually tasted some basil! They're usually out of something too, half-n-half, ice coffee, hot coffee, and the dining room is usually a mess. Dishes stacked up and teetering.The system lets you order things they don't have like a certain cookie, and they substitute a crappy stale leftover something or other-sometimes without telling you - so yeah, check your order before you leave. I had enough disappointment at one point (only asked for a refund once), and went to other Paneras (much cleaner). But this one is close and I have the sip club. Too bad they had to take away the YUMMY caffeine drinks because they were killing people (oh, allegedly killing people), but I really liked them. I love the 4-cheese souffle and a cup of coffee in the morning. The soups are always reliable and the ingredients in the sandwiches and salads are fresh. The bakery selection is really good, some of it sinful. There is outdoor seating that is great in the summertime and they always provide friendly service. Apparently good customer service is no longer important at my OAK CREEK location. Called for a loaf of bread to be set aside. Alan the manager wanted my credit card. I told him I had never been asked for this before. I've been calling ahead many times without a problem. The Manager at the Greenfield location had no problem putting a loaf of bread aside for me. And told me he didn't understand why Alan would ask for a credit card. This is the location I ended up at for my bread & coffee cake. I want to give David Turner a thumbs up for outstanding customer service. He was pleasant & extremely professional! He made a bad experience a little better. I just left this Panera Bread and I am not happy with the service I received today. I ordered two scones but once I got home I realized that there was only one in the bag and when I received my sandwich I asked the girl if she could throw in a couple baguettes, the girl behind the counter said you'll have to go up front to pay for them. I've never had to pay for extra baguettes before. It was nice that they could take care of a long-time customer. In the line of work that I do I sent people to this location all the time for lunch or dinner. I've had problems at this location before and after today I do not think I will be returning, I would rather drive miles out of my way to go to a restaurant that will take care of their long-time customers. read more

This is one of the good locations from this chain. They are very diligent and prompt. I never have to wait in line too long. If someone sees I or another person waiting, they jump on the register to help. I had the bacon egg and cheese on brioche yesterday and it was MUCH better than the one I've gotten from the New Berlin location. Everyone here seems to be friendly and enjoy working here. I just visited this location after they changed their menu. The new Italian sandwich was terrible compared to the old one. They were also out of the new bread for the sandwich and had to substitute a different bread. The taste of the sandwich was horrible. Also, sodas at the fountain were out, no straws available and 5 out of 6 self order kiosks were not working. I used to come here a lot for the food but with the new menu I will go elsewhere. When I sent a complaint to Panera their answer to the above issues were "change is hard", and try something different next time. They ignored all the other problems. Panera is comfort food, and the Oak Creek location, while busy, is clean and efficient. They have a good rewards program, and you get perks quickly without having to spend a ton of money. My favorites include the Steak and White Cheddar Panini, the Summer Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, and of course, Broccoli Cheddar soup in a bread bowl.
